The electronic structure of the DyNi2Mn x rare-earth (RE) intermetallides whose cubic structure is similar to the structure of RT2 compounds is studied. Resonant photoemission and X-ray absorption methods are used in the vicinity of the 2p- and 3p-excitation thresholds of transition elements and the 3p-, 3d-, and 4d-thresholds of RE metals to find the Ni, Mn 3d-, and R 4f-partial densities of the states in the valent band. The use of resonant photoemission allows us to establish features of the interaction between the unfinished 4f-shells of ions of RE metals with ions of the transition 3d-elements in RNi2Mn x compounds. The contributions from atoms of various elements to the structure of the valent band are separated, and the basic regularities of band formation during the introduction of manganese atoms are found. 相似文献

Transmission spectra of a one-dimensional photonic crystal (PC) formed by two multilayer dielectric mirrors and a planar oriented layer of 5CB nematic liquid crystal (LC) that is sandwiched between these mirrors and serves as a structure defect are investigated experimentally. Specific features of the behavior of the spectrum of defect modes as a function of the angle of incidence of light on the crystal are studied for two polarizations: parallel and perpendicular to the director of the LC; the director either lies in the plane of incidence or is perpendicular to it. It is shown that, for the configurations considered, the maxima of the defect modes shift toward the short-wavelength region as the tilt angle of incidence radiation increases; this tendency is more manifest for the parallel-polarized component, when the director lies in the plane of incidence. In the latter case, the width of the photonic band gap (PBG) appreciably decreases. The temperature dependence of the polarization components of the transmission spectra of a PC is investigated in the case of normal incidence of light. The spectral shift of defect modes due to the variation of the refractive index of the LC at the nematic-isotropic liquid phase transition point is measured. It is shown that, in real PCs, the amplitude of defect modes decreases when approaching the center of the band gap, as well as when the number of layers in the dielectric mirrors increases. Theoretical transmission spectra of the PCs calculated by the method of recurrence relations with regard to the decay of defect modes are in good agreement with experimental data. 相似文献

As DNA exhibits persistent structures with dimensions that exceed the range of their intermolecular forces, solid‐state DNA undergoes thermal degradation at elevated temperatures. Therefore, the realization of solvent‐free DNA fluids, including liquid crystals and liquids, still remains a significant challenge. To address this intriguing issue, we demonstrate that combining DNA with suitable cationic surfactants, followed by dehydration, can be a simple generic scheme for producing these solvent‐free DNA fluid systems. In the anhydrous smectic liquid crystalline phase, DNA sublayers are intercalated between aliphatic hydrocarbon sublayers. The lengths of the DNA and surfactant are found to be extremely important in tuning the physical properties of the fluids. Stable liquid‐crystalline and liquid phases are obtained in the ?20 °C to 200 °C temperature range without thermal degradation of the DNA. Thus, a new type of DNA‐based soft biomaterial has been achieved, which will promote the study and application of DNA in a much broader context. 相似文献

Radio-wave emission spectra in the microwave region are registered for the first time for ordinary water (H2O), heavy water (D2O), and D2O with a low content of T2O. The obtained spectra are analyzed according to a special program using a hardware–software complex. Measurement results show that the proposed method allows us not only to determine differences between substances in terms of composition and concentration, but to determine the presence of heavy and superheavy hydrogen isotopes in ordinary water as well. 相似文献

Microspherical particles of composite drugs based on lysozyme and albumin, which can be used in inhalation administration, were prepared by spray drying. The composition of the complexes was determined using experimental and theoretical methods. The use of the protein matrix makes it possible to increase the dissolution rate of the drug in water. The obtained results can be useful for the development of new drug dosage forms with increased bioavailability.

Phase behavior and structure formation was studied using optical interferometry, nephelometry, and refractometry in the polymer–solvent–nonsolvent system for DMF solutions of two poly(amic acids): based on 3,3′,4,4′-benzophenonetetracarboxylic acid dianhydride and meta-phenylenediamine (PAA-1) and pyromellitic acid dianhydride and 4,4′-oxydianiline (PAA-2). Distilled water and its mixtures with DMF were used as a nonsolvent.
