The content and isotopic composition of uranium extracted under various leaching and extraction conditions from the dyctionemic shale from Estonian deposits are determined by alpha-spectrometry. The interaction of uranium with organic matter (OM) was confirmed by a correlation between the specific radioactivity of uranium and contents of OM in the fractions obtained by electrostatic separation of the ground shale powder. The pd reaction (pd → He + γ (5.5 MeV)) is studied in the astrophysical energy collision range of protons with deuterons using the hydrogen liner in the inverse Z-pinch configuration at the pulsed power generator MIG (HCEI, Tomsk). Fundamental characteristics of this and other light-nucleus reactions at ultralow energies are important for problems of basic physics and astrophysics. The knowledge of the energy distribution of the nuclei participating in these reactions is important due to their exponential type of dependence on the collision energy. Two experimental techniques were designed and tested for recovering the energy distribution of liner protons incident on the CD2 target by using optical detectors and ion collectors. It is shown that the combined use of these two techniques could provide relevant information on the energy distribution of the accelerated protons in the liner. The estimates of the upper limits for the astrophysical S factor and effective cross section of the pd reaction in the proton-deuteron collision energy range of 2.7–16.7 keV are obtained: $\bar S_{pd} (E_{pd} = 10.2 keV) \leqslant 2.5 \times 10^{ - 7} MeV b;\overline \sigma _{pd} (2.7 \leqslant E_{pd} \leqslant 16.7 keV) \leqslant 4 \times 10^{ - 33} cm^2 $ . 相似文献

Wide-angle X-ray scattering observations of alpha-cyclodextrin (CD)-poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) inclusion complexes (ICs) have shown for the first time that two crystalline columnar modifications (forms I and II) are produced in the process of their formation. This was made possible by precise azimuthal X-ray diffraction scanning of oriented IC samples. Form I is characterized by CDs threaded onto PEG chains and arranged along channels in the order head-to-head/tail-to-tail, while form II is formed by unbound CDs also arranged into columns in a head-to-tail and also possibly a head-to-head/tail-to-tail manner, probably as a result of template crystallization on the form I IC crystals. It was shown that similar structural peculiarities are inherent for channel structures based on ICs obtained with PEG with a wide range of molecular weights (MWs). The characteristic feature of ICs based on PEG, especially with MW > 8000, is the presence of unbound polymer in the composition of the complex. The amount of unbound PEG was shown to rise with increasing MW of PEG, resulting in greater imperfections in the IC crystalline structure. The polyblock structure of ICs based on alpha-CD and PEG was therefore proposed. 相似文献

This paper presents the results of calculations for CANDU reactor operation in thorium fuel cycle. Calculations are performed
to estimate the feasibility of operation of heavy-water thermal neutron power reactor in self-sufficient thorium cycle. Parameters
of active core and scheme of fuel reloading were considered to be the same as for standard operation in uranium cycle. Two
modes of operations are discussed in the paper: mode of preliminary accumulation of 233U and mode of operation in self-sufficient cycle. For the mode of accumulation of 233U it was assumed for calculations that plutonium can be used as additional fissile material to provide neutrons for 233U production. Plutonium was placed in fuel channels, while 232Th was located in target channels. Maximum content of 233U in target channels was estimated to be ∼13 kg/t of ThO2. This was achieved by irradiation for six years. The start of the reactor operation in the self-sufficient mode requires
233U content to be not less than 12 kg/t. For the mode of operation in self-sufficient cycle, it was assumed that all channels
were loaded with identical fuel assemblies containing ThO2 and certain amount of 233U. It is shown that nonuniform distribution of 233U in fuel assembly is preferable.

The contribution of scalar particles to the kernel of the Balitsky-Fadin-Kuraev-Lipatov (BFKL) equation is calculated. A great
cancellation between the virtual and real parts of this contribution, analogous to the cancellation in the quark contribution
in QCD, is observed. The reason of this cancellation is discovered. This reason has a common nature for particles with any
spin. Understanding of this reason permits to obtain the total contribution without the complicated calculations, which are
