Dilatometric studies of solutions of four different mole fractions of poly(ethylene glycol) of average molecular mass 400 g mol?1 dissolved in benzene have been performed to estimate molar volumes (V) and volume expansion coefficients (α) at different temperatures. From these, thermodynamic parameters appropriate to these solutions have been evaluated at different temperatures ranging from 299 to 328 K. These parameters have been employed to collect and discuss the information on molecular structure, molecular order, molecular packing, polymer segment extension, and molecular interactions. 相似文献

A large number of crystal forms, polymorphs and pseudopolymorphs, have been isolated in the phloroglucinol‐dipyridylethylene (PGL:DPE) and phloroglucinol‐phenazine (PGL:PHE) systems. An understanding of the intermolecular interactions and synthon preferences in these binary systems enables one to design a ternary molecular solid that consists of PGL, PHE, and DPE, and also others where DPE is replaced by other heterocycles. Clean isolation of these ternary cocrystals demonstrates synthon amplification during crystallization. These results point to the lesser likelihood of polymorphism in multicomponent crystals compared to single‐component crystals. The appearance of several crystal forms during crystallization of a multicomponent system can be viewed as combinatorial crystal synthesis with synthon selection from a solution library. The resulting polymorphs and pseudopolymorphs that are obtained constitute a crystal structure landscape. 相似文献

A new disulfide‐based, imine‐linked fluorescent receptor 1 was processed into organic nanoparticles (ONPs) with an average particle size of 79 nm. Uses of plants extracts are found to be more advantageous over chemical, physical and microbial (bacterial, fungal, algal) methods for silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) synthesis. In phytonanosynthesis, biochemical diversity of plant extract, non-pathogenicity, low cost and flexibility in reaction parameters are accounted for high rate of AgNPs production with different shape, size and applications. At the same time, care has to be taken to select suitable phytofactory for AgNPs synthesis based on certain parameters such as easy availability, large-scale nanosynthesis potential and non-toxic nature of plant extract. This review focuses on synthesis of AgNPs with particular emphasis on biological synthesis using plant extracts. Some points have been given on selection of plant extract for AgNPs synthesis and case studies on AgNPs synthesis using different plant extracts. Reaction parameters contributing to higher yield of nanoparticles are presented here. Synthesis mechanisms and overview of present and future applications of plant-extract-synthesized AgNPs are also discussed here. It is well accepted that the morphology of the nanomaterials has great effect on the properties and hence their applications. Therefore, morphology of materials has become a focus of research in the scientific world. The present study shows that interfacial polymerization and subsequent self-assembly provides a control over the morphology, nanorod/nanosheet, of polyaniline (PANI) films synthesized by liquid–liquid interface reaction technique and solid–liquid interface reaction technique. The synthesized PANI films and its particulate structure are characterized by using various spectroscopic techniques such as UV–visible, ATR-IR, Raman and XPS. The study confirmed the formation, the structure, the size and shape of particles and morphology of PANI by using analytical techniques namely, SAED, SEM and TEM. An important observation is that doping with HCl significantly improves the nanorod formation at the interface. The doped PANI electrode exhibits a higher area with rectangular shape in CV cycle and better cycle stability when compared with the performance of undoped PANI films. We believe that the results of these studies can give valuable leads to manoeuvre formation of PANI films with desired morphology for various applications. Figure

The present study involved development of a novel sodium alginate (SA)/HPMC/light liquid paraffin emulsified (o/w) gel beads containing Diclofenac sodium (DS) as an active pharmaceutical ingredient and its site specific delivery by using hard gelatin capsule fabricated by enteric coated Eudragit L-100 polymer. Emulsified gel beads were formulated by 3-level factorial design, ionic gelatin method. The obtained beads were characterized by Fourier transform infrared, X-ray diffraction and Field emission scanning electron microscope analysis. The variables such as SA (X1), HPMC (X2), were optimized for drug loading and in vitro drug release with the help of response surface methodology (RSM). The RSM analysis predicted that SA was significant for both drug loading (p = 0.0005) and drug release (p = 0.0041). HPMC was only significant for drug release (p = 0.0154). The cross-product contribution (2FI) and quadratic model were found to be adequate and statistically accurate with correlation value (R2) of 0.9054 and 0.9450 to predict the drug loading and drug release respectively. An increase in concentration of HPMC and SA decreases the drug loading as well as the drug release. The obtained optimum values of drug loading and DS released were 7.43 % and 85.54 % respectively, which were well in agreement with the predicted value by RSM. 相似文献
