Using the notion of biconnected sum we define the biconnected sum (T₁, M₁)§(T₂,M₂) of two involutions (T1M1) and (T2,M2) which is an involution on the biconnected sum M₁,§M₂. A connected involution is said to be reducible if it can be expressed as a biconnected sum of two connected involutions.Theorem Each connected involution (T, M) can be decomposed into a bi-connected sum of connected irreducible involutions (T, M)=(T₁, M₁)§…§(T_q,M_q),and (?) where the coefficients of H_{n_1}(M) are in Z/2 Z if M is unoriented, in Z if is oriented .     

Ultrafast non-linear optical properties of Ge20As25Se55 chalcogenide films

The non-resonant third-order non-linear optical properties of amorphous Ge₂₀As₂₅Se₅₅ films were studied experimentally by the method of the femtosecond optical heterodyne detection of optical Kerr effect. The real and imaginary parts of complex third-order optical non-linearity could be effectively separated and their values and signs could be also determined, which were 6.6 × 10⁻¹² and −2.4 × 10⁻¹² esu, respectively. Amorphous Ge₂₀As₂₅Se₅₅ films showed a very fast response in the range of 200 fs under ultrafast excitation. The ultrafast response and large third-order non-linearity are attributed to the ultrafast distortion of the electron orbitals surrounding the average positions of the nucleus of Ge, As and Se atoms. The high third-order susceptibility and a fast response time of amorphous Ge₂₀As₂₅Se₅₅ films makes it a promising material for application in advanced techniques especially in optical switching.

从实验上探讨了掺Ｎｄ＾３＋的氟化物玻璃光纤正向双程超荧光基本特性，包括输入－输出特性、输出－带宽特性以及输出－波长（激发）特性。并给出了理论上的拟合公式，实验表明利用氟化物玻璃光纤有望获得性能优异的有应用前景的低相干度集成化光源。     

高温超导体制备条件的人工神经网络识别

高温超导体的制备条件要求严格,其掺杂量大小、烧结温度控制等都直接影响实验样本的超导性质。近几年高温超导研究已积累大量实验数据,如何应用人工智能方法处理这些数据寻找更好的合成条件颇有意义。人工神经网络方法在许多领域己显示其处理复杂数据和模式识别的优越性,但尚未应用到化合物制备研究方面。本文对此作了初步尝试。     

Optical Nonlinearity of Hybrid and Nanocomposite Materials Prepared by the Sol-Gel Method

In this paper the nonlinear refractive index, optical limiting effect, photoinduced and electroinduced second harmonic generation of dye-doped hybrid and nanoparticle-doped composite materials prepared by the sol-gel process have been reported. The origin of these nonlinear optical effects has been discussed.
