Modification of the anticestodal drug 5-chloro-N-(2-chloro-4-nitrophenyl)-2-hydroxybenzamide with a view to improve its biological effect

Reactions of 5-chloro-N-(2-chloro-4-nitrophenyl)-2-hydroxybenzamide, the active substance of the drug Niclosamide (Phenasal), with higher amines (dodecan-1-amine, hexadecan-1-amine) and 1-(2-aminoethyl)-piperazine lead to the formation of the corresponding water-soluble ammonium salts with retention of pharmacophoric groups responsible for the antihelminthic effect, whereas no nucleophilic aromatic substitution of chlorine is observed. The product structure was determined by X-ray analysis.     

Kinetic and Synthetical Manifestations of Important Reactions of Hydrophosphoryl Compounds

Abstract

Hydrophosphoryl compounds (HPC) is one of the most important and interesting types of organophosphorus substances. That is why a lot of their reactions are the authorized reactions in organic chemistry (Michaelis-Becker, Pudovik, Abramov and Kabachnic-Fields Reactions). In the presented work we have carried out systematic kinetic and synthetical investigation of mechanisms of the Pudovik, Abramov and Kabachnic-Fields reactions and also the reactivity of HPC in these reactions.     

Dynamic spin reorientation in orthoferrites irradiated by a laser pulse

A theory of dynamic spin reorientation in an antiferromagnet irradiated by a femtosecond laser pulse has been developed taking into account both the nonthermal effect of the pulse due to the inverse Faraday effect and the thermal effect of the pulse. It has been shown that even a weak heating of the spin subsystem by the pulse can significantly enhance the reorientation effect. The possibility of applying this effect to increase the efficiency of the excitation of the spin oscillations has been considered.

A problem of ultra short optical pulses behavior in a system of carbon nanotubes with applied magnetic field parallel to the nanotube axis was considered. The electromagnetic field was explored under the Maxwell equations. And the electronic system of the carbon nanotubes was quantum and mechanically investigated in the case of low temperatures. The distributional pattern of the ultra short pulses and their collision were established by means of numerical modeling.

A Polyurethane Coating Based on Hydroxyethylated Diphenylolpropane

To improve the thermal resistance of a coating, a polyurethane binder has been synthesized with the use of hydroxyethylated diphenylolpropane. The influence of the catalyst concentration, solvent nature, and structure and molar ratio of the initial reagents on the properties of the coatings is studied. The composition, corresponding to the polyurethane coating with high physicomechanical properties combined with thermal and chemical resistance, is established.     

Probing of the multilayer Si/SiGe structure with a flux of nonequilibrium acoustic phonons

The Si/Si_0.8Ge_0.2/Si double quantum wells grown on a silicon substrate were probed in the reflection geometry with a flux of terahertz nonequilibrium acoustic phonons produced by the heat pulse technique. A comparison of the detected phonon arrival signals with those obtained under similar conditions from a silicon sample without a quantum well structure permits one to isolate the component due to the phonon reflection from quantum wells. This reflected signal was found to be strongly anisotropic.     

Three-dimensional few-cycle optical pulses in an array of carbon nanotubes inside a magnetic field

The behavior of three-dimensional few-cycle optical pulses, propagating in a system of carbon nanotubes inside an external magnetic field applied parallel to the nanotube axes and perpendicular to the direction of pulse propagation, is studied. The evolution of the electromagnetic field is classically derived using Maxwell’s equations.     

Intramolecular Electrophilic Rearrangements in Saturated Acyclic Systems. Cρarr;N Migrations of Acetyl Group

Reactions between isocyanates, carbanions with an acetyl group at the carbanion center occurvia rearrangement of the intermediate N-anions into isomeric C-anions by CN-migration of the MeC(O)group. The acetyl group undergoes migration easier than the ethoxycarbonyl group. The P-zwitterionic rearrangement products were subjected to X-ray diffraction analysis.     

On the Fourier--Haar Coefficients of Functions of Several Variables with Bounded Vitali Variation

In this paper, we study the behavior of the Fourier--Haar coefficients $a_{m_1 , \ldots ,m_n } \left( f \right)$ of functions $f$ Lebesgue integrable on the $n$ -dimensional cube $D_n = \left[ {0,1} \right]^n $ and having a bounded Vitali variation $V_{D_n } f$ on it. It is proved that $$\sum\limits_{m_1 = 2}^\infty \cdots \sum\limits_{m_n = 2}^\infty {\left| {a_{m_1 , \ldots ,m_n } \left( f \right)} \right|} \leqslant \left( {\frac{{2 + \sqrt 2 }}{3}} \right)^n {\text{ }}.{\text{ }}V_{D_n } f$$ and shown that this estimate holds for some function of bounded finite nonzero Vitali variation.
