The Eucalyptus genus (Myrtaceae) is characterized by a richness in essential oils (EO) with multiple biological activities. This study reports the chemical composition and the phytotoxic and antimicrobial activities of the EOs from Tunisian E. occidentalis, E. striaticalyx and E. stricklandii. The EOs were analyzed using GC/MS and their phytotoxicities were assessed against the germination and seedling growth of Sinapis arvensis, Trifolium campestre and Lolium rigidum. Antimicrobial activity was investigated against both Gram-negative (Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli and Acinetobacter baumannii) and Gram-positive (Staphylococcus aureus and Listeria monocytogenes) bacteria. The inhibition of biofilm formation and its metabolism was determined at different times. All EOs were rich in oxygenated monoterpenes (36.3–84.8%); the EO of E. occidentalis was rich in sesquiterpenes, both oxygenated and hydrocarbon (40.0% and 15.0%, respectively). Eucalyptol was the main constituent in all samples. The EOs showed phytotoxic activity on seed germination and seedling growth, depending both on chemical composition and weed. The EOs show a remarkable antibacterial potential resulting in a significant inhibition of the formation of bacterial biofilm and its metabolism, depending on the EO and the strain, with activity on the mature biofilm as well. Therefore, these Eucalyptus EOs could have potential applications both in the food and health fields.  相似文献

By using the chemical bath deposition approach, binary bismuth sulphides (Bi2S3) and chromium-doped ternary bismuth sulphides (Bi2−xCrxS3) thin films were effectively produced, and their potential for photovoltaic applications was examined. Structural elucidation revealed that Bi2S3 deposited by this simple and cost-effective method retained its orthorhombic crystal lattice by doping up to 3 at.%. The morphological analysis confirmed the crack-free deposition, hence making them suitable for solar cell applications. Optical analysis showed that deposited thin films have a bandgap in the range of 1.30 to 1.17 eV, values of refractive index (n) from 2.9 to 1.3, and an extinction coefficient (k) from 1.03 to 0.3. From the Hall measurements, it followed that the dominant carriers in all doped and undoped samples are electrons, and the carrier density in doped samples is almost two orders of magnitude larger than in Bi2S3. Hence, this suggests that doping is an effective tool to improve the optoelectronic behavior of Bi2S3 thin films by engineering the compositional, structural, and morphological properties.  相似文献

A series of mixed bis-NHC rhodium(I) complexes of type RhCl(η2-olefin)(NHC)(NHC’) have been synthesized by a stepwise reaction of [Rh(μ-Cl)(η2-olefin)2]2 with two different NHCs (NHC = N-heterocyclic carbene), in which the steric hindrance of both NHC ligands and the η2-olefin is critical. Similarly, new mixed coumarin-functionalized bis-NHC rhodium complexes have been prepared by a reaction of mono NHC complexes of type RhCl(NHC-coumarin)(η22-cod) with the corresponding azolium salt in the presence of an external base. Both synthetic procedures proceed selectively and allow the preparation of mixed bis-NHC rhodium complexes in good yields.  相似文献

We analyzed the transverse momentum pT spectra of various strange hadrons KS0, Λ(Λ¯) and Ξ(Ξ¯+) at mid-rapidity (y) in different centrality intervals from Au+Au collisions at sNN= 54.4 GeV. The pT spectra of these strange hadrons are investigated by the Tsallis-like distribution, which satisfactorily fits the experimental data. The bulk properties of the medium produced in ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions at the kinetic freeze-out are reflected by measuring the hadron spectra. The effective temperature T, transverse flow velocity βT, and mean pT along with other parameters that are strongly dependent on centrality and particle specie are extracted. The effective temperature of multi-strange particle (Ξ(Ξ¯+)) is larger as compared to singly-strange particles Λ(Λ¯) and KS0. Furthermore, the kinetic freeze-out temperature T, transverse flow velocity βT. and mean pT (pT) show a decreasing trend towards lower centrality, while the entropy parameter q increases from central to peripheral collisions. In addition, a positive correlation of pT and T and a negative correlation of q and T are also reported.  相似文献

The kinetics of amide bond cleavage in p-chloro and p-bromo oxazolinone have been studied using triethylamine as a base catalyst under pseudo-first order conditions, in the temperature range (303.15?C333.15?K). The reaction rate was measured spectrophotometrically over a range of acetonitrile?Cwater mixed solvent (30?C70?%, v/v) compositions. The reaction rate was found to be faster for p-Cl than for p-Br oxazolinone. The thermodynamic parameters of activation were calculated: ?G* increased gradually as the mole fraction of the cosolvent increased due to quasi-mirror image compensation of ?H* and ?S* (entropy?Centhalpy compensation). The isokinetic temperature indicates that the reaction is enthalpy controlled. The reactivity was analyzed in the light of various simple and multiple regression equations using the Kamlet?CTaft solvatochromic parameters.  相似文献

Single phase MnPS3 powder was prepared by solid state reaction between Mn, S and P carried out at 650 °C in evacuated silica tube. The structure, morphology and sorption characteristics of the prepared solid were investigated. The results revealed that the obtained MnPS3 compound was capable of adsorbing 3.5 wt% hydrogen at −193 °C and a pressure of 30 bar. Little amount of hydrogen (0.07 wt%) was adsorbed at room temperature. The hydrogen adsorption/desorption cycles at various temperatures did not result in irreversible chemical structural changes of the MnPS3 compound, but the microstructure after hydrogen cycling diminished and became finer.  相似文献
