The physical interaction between plasma-membrane lipids and the epidermal growth factor (EGF)-receptor was investigated on single A431 human epidermoid carcinoma cells by monitoring fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) between exogeneously added fluorescein-EGF (donor) and 2-(4,4-difluoro-5,7-dimethyl-4-bora-3a,4a-diaza-s-indacene-3-pentanoyl)-1-hexadecanoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (Bodipy-PC, acceptor) using donor-photobleaching FRET-microscopy. The measured mean FRET-efficiency of 13% is indicative of such a physical interaction and exemplifies the great potential and sensitivity of time-resolved imaging fluorescence microscopy techniques for the study of lipid-receptor interactions on single cells. 相似文献

We study four examples of Gamow vectors in one-dimensional potential barriers, namely square barriers and delta barriers. We analyze the possibilities to define density operators for the Gamow vectors in order to extend this concept to the Liouville space. In the search for solvable or quasi-solvable models for resonances, we consider a one-dimensional potential, which is a harmonic oscillator for x<0, has a point potential at the origin of the form aδ(x)+bδ′(x) and no interaction for x>0. After a study of this model, we add a mass jump at the origin and study the effect of the combination of the mass jump and the point potential. We obtain the behavior of resonances, bound and antibound states in terms of given parameters. In spite of the simplicity of the model, it shows quite interesting and unexpected features. 相似文献

We prove that Gamow vectors are important toolsin the quantum theory of irreversibility. We use themathematical formalism of rigged Hilbert spaces. Wediscuss some spectral formulas that include Gamow vectors as well as some results concerningGamow vectors. The role of the time-reversal operator isstudied.
