The degradation pathways of highly active [Cp*Ir(κ2-N,N-R-pica)Cl] catalysts (pica=picolinamidate; 1 R=H, 2 R=Me) for formic acid (FA) dehydrogenation were investigated by NMR spectroscopy and DFT calculations. Under acidic conditions (1 equiv. of HNO3), 2 undergoes partial protonation of the amide moiety, inducing rapid κ2-N,N to κ2-N,O ligand isomerization. Consistently, DFT modeling on the simpler complex 1 showed that the κ2-N,N key intermediate of FA dehydrogenation ( INH ), bearing a N-protonated pica, can easily transform into the κ2-N,O analogue ( INH2 ; ΔG≠≈11 kcal mol−1, ΔG ≈−5 kcal mol−1). Intramolecular hydrogen liberation from INH2 is predicted to be rather prohibitive (ΔG≠≈26 kcal mol−1, ΔG≈23 kcal mol−1), indicating that FA dehydrogenation should involve mostly κ2-N,N intermediates, at least at relatively high pH. Under FA dehydrogenation conditions, 2 was progressively consumed, and the vast majority of the Ir centers (58 %) were eventually found in the form of Cp*-complexes with a pyridine-amine ligand. This likely derived from hydrogenation of the pyridine-carboxiamide via a hemiaminal intermediate, which could also be detected. Clear evidence for ligand hydrogenation being the main degradation pathway also for 1 was obtained, as further confirmed by spectroscopic and catalytic tests on the independently synthesized degradation product 1 c . The unprecedented reaction of ketone‐containing aromatic pyridinium salts 3a ‐ e and alkynyl Fischer complexes 1a ‐ f proceeds via a mild domino process to provide 4,6‐disubstituted pyran‐2‐ones 5a ‐ k and 2,3,5‐trisubstituted furans 6a ‐ h (45‐97%). In this paper we study the late evolution of Relic Gravitational Waves in coupled dark energy models, where dark energy interacts with cold dark matter. Relic Gravitational Waves are second tensorial order perturbations of the Lemaitre–Friedman–Robertson–Walker metric and experiment an evolution ruled by the scale factor of the metric. We find that the amplitude of Relic Gravitational Waves is smaller in coupled dark energy models than in models with non interacting dark energy. We also find that the amplitude of the waves predicted by the models with coupling term proportional to the dark energy density is smaller than those of the models with coupling term proportional to dark matter density. 相似文献

DNA‐directed assembly is a well developed approach in constructing desired nano‐architectures. On the other hand, E‐beam lithography is widely utilized for high resolution nano‐scale patterning. Recently, a new technique combining these two methods was developed to epitaxially grow DNA‐mediated nanoparticle superlattices on patterned substrates. However, defects are observed in epitaxial layers which restricts this technique from building large‐scale superlattices for real applications. Here we use molecular dynamics simulations to study and predict defect formation on adsorbed superlattice monolayers. We demonstrate that this epitaxial growth is energetically driven by maximizing DNA hybridization between the epitaxial layer and the substrate and that the shape anisotropy of the DNA‐mediated template posts leads to structural defects. We also develop design rules to dramatically reduce defects on epitaxial layers. Ultimately, with the assist of the computational study, this technique will open the door to constructing well‐ordered, three‐dimensional novel nanomaterials. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym.
