The effects of the types and the ratios of various organic solvents used as a mixtures to dissolve poly (lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) by using a solvent evaporation method, a technique used to prepare polymer particles, were carefully studied in order to investigate their advantages in developing drug delivery system (DDS) formulations for the prepared microspheres. The particle size and drug loading efficiency of drug-containing PLGA microspheres were found to be dependent on the types of solvent used due to the interfacial tension between the organic solvent and water phase. The drug loading efficiency of monodisperse microspheres prepared by using a membrane emulsification technique employing organic solvents and high interfacial tension for dissolving the PLGA was increased in a controlled manner. The organic solvents with high interfacial tension in the water phase used for the preparation of polymer particles by means of the solvent evaporation method were found to be suitable in terms of improvement in the properties of DDS formulations.  相似文献

A hydrophilic polymer-based monolithic column was prepared from water-soluble crosslinking agents for liquid chromatography. The column media were prepared with a diacrylate monomer, aqueous polyethylene glycol, methanol, and a water-soluble radical initiator. A fused silica capillary column, which was significantly modified by vinyl groups, was utilized as the outer column in order to control polymer shrinkage. We optimized the modification of the capillary column, composition of the monomer and porogen, and polymerization condition. The optimized column exhibited high hydrophilicity and achieved the baseline separation of nucleobases by using only a buffered solution as the mobile phase. Additionally, another column prepared from binary water-soluble crosslinking agents exhibited lower nonspecific adsorption of several proteins. Basically, we would show the possibility of a new type of polymer monolith prepared from water-soluble crosslinker and water-soluble porogenic solvent, and they can be used for chromatographic separation without non-specific hydrophobic interaction.  相似文献

Dynamic duo : Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can visualize deep regions of living bodies, whereas fluorescence measurement offers excellent sensitivity. These methods thus offer signal enhancement potential for detecting enzyme activities. A dual‐mode off/on probe to detect caspase‐3 activity by fluorescence and 19F MRI is presented.

Stabilities and intracluster reactions have been investigated by photoionization mass spectrometry for clusters composed of an alkali metal atom (M; Na and K) and acrylic ester molecules, CH(2)=CHCO(2)R, such as methyl acrylate (MA; R = CH(3)) and ethyl acrylate (EA; R = C(2)H(5)). The following two features are commonly observed in the photoionization mass spectra of M(CH(2)=CHCO(2)R)(n): (1) The ion with n = 3 is clearly observed as a magic number. (2) Fragmented cluster ions with the loss of ROH, [M(CH(2)=CHCO(2)R)(n) - ROH] are detected only for n = 3. These features are both explained by an intracluster oligomerization reaction initiated by electron transfer from the metal atoms. The magic number trimer is concluded to have the stable structure of cyclohexane derivatives as a result of oligomerization. The fragmentation reaction is explained by Dieckmann cyclization after anionic oligomerization to produce another isomer of the trimer. The intracluster electron transfer is also supported by theoretical calculation for Na(MA) based on density functional theory.  相似文献

An efficient solid‐phase synthetic method for 2,3,4,5‐Tetrahydro‐1,4‐benzodiazepin‐2,5‐diones, having amine derivatives on the benzene ring, was developed. This method has been successfully applied to the synthesis of several spatially separated drug‐like and information‐rich small‐molecule libraries composed of 400 compounds using ACT‐496 automatic synthesizer and the IRORI radio frequency‐encoded split‐mix synthesis technology.  相似文献

Microwave invasion into living bodies through a millimeter wave catheter irradiation is described. As radiation sources for millimeter wave irradiation tests both Impatt oscillator (IO) and a Gunn oscillator were used. Irradiated samples are cow livers and living rats. A newly designed wave-guide vent antenna (WVA) with an anti-reflecting layer (ARL) is used as a launcher for the irradiation and the reflectance measurements. The correlation between the denaturation of the tissue and the reflectance from the WVA is studied in detail.  相似文献

Methanol adsorption sites on NanI+n-1 ions were investigated. Photoexcitation to charge-transfer states of NanI+n-1 (methanol) predominantly produces two fragment ions: Nan-1I+n-2 (methanol) (neutral NaI loss) and Nan-1I+n-2(neutral NaI and methanol loss), without forming NanI+n-1 (methanol loss). 30wt% solid content, anionic seed copolymer latex P(methyl acrylate-co-methyl methacrylate) was prepared by conventional emulsion polymerization, and then the seeded emulsion polymerization was carried out accompanied with the electrostatic coagulation during the reaction in the presence of counter-ion species, such as cationic monomer and initiator. In this article, effects of cationic monomer (dimethyl aminoethyl methacrylate, DM) content, secondary monomer to seed polymer weight ratio, M/P and amount of emulsifier (polyoxyethylene nonylphenylether with 23 units of ethylene oxide, PEO23) were investigated on the effective particle growth and the stability of final latex. With 10wt% DM in monomer, M/P ratio at 2.0 were recommended. An optimal policy for handling the emulsifier content without the nucleation of secondary particles while achieving the controlled coagulative growth was proposed from the observations of polymer yield and particle size during the polymerization.  相似文献
