The first-order phase transitions in NdFe12B6 and PrFe12B6 alloys give rise to giant values of magnetic entropy changes in relatively low field. However, the metastable nature of these alloys associates with a special procedure of preparation and considerable amount of impurities inevitably. By alloying NdFe12B6 with the iso-structural compound of NdCo12B6 appropriately, a Nd(Co1−xFex)12B6 system which possesses the stable SrNi12B6-type structure can be obtained directly via the standard casting-and-annealing method. Remarkably improved thermal and magnetic reversibility are observed in the present system. The second-order phase transitions in NdCo12B6 alloy give rise to the relative cooling power, which is comparable with that of NdFe12B6 alloy around the ordering temperature. 相似文献

The structural, elastic and electronic properties of Ti2SiN were studied by first-principle calculations. The calculated bond lengths of Ti-Si and Ti-C are 2.65 and 2.09 Å, respectively. The results show Ti2SiN is mechanically stable, and its bulk modulus B, shear modulus G, Young's modulus E, Poisson's ratio μ and anisotropy factor A are determined to be 182 GPa, 118 GPa, 291 GPa, 0.233 and 1.57, respectively. The calculated electronic structure indicates that Ti2SiN is anisotropic and conductive. 相似文献

A novel (to our knowledge) dual-core ytterbium (Yb(3+)) doped fiber, as an optically pumped amplifier, boosts the output power from a 1060 nm swept source laser beyond 250 mW, while providing a wavelength tuning range of 93 nm, for optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging. The design of the dual-core Yb-doped fiber amplifier and its multiple wavelength optical pumping scheme to optimize output bandwidth are discussed. Use of the dual-core fiber amplifier showed no appreciable degradation to the coherence length of the seed laser. The signal intensity improvement of this amplifier is demonstrated on a multichannel in vivo OCT imaging system at 1060 nm. 相似文献

We present a study of the dijet invariant mass spectrum in events with two jets produced in association with a W boson in data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.3 fb(-1) collected with the D0 detector at √s = 1.96 TeV. We find no evidence for anomalous resonant dijet production and derive upper limits on the production cross section of an anomalous dijet resonance recently reported by the CDF Collaboration, investigating the range of dijet invariant mass from 110 to 170 GeV/c(2). The probability of the D0 data being consistent with the presence of a dijet resonance with 4 pb production cross section at 145 GeV/c(2) is 8×10(-6). 相似文献

The use of current drug-loaded vascular scaffolds is limited in sustained drug release and stability studies in clinical and preclinical trials. We found that poly(l-glutamic acid)-b-poly(propylene oxide)-b-poly(l-glutamic acid) (PLGA-b-PPO-b-PLGA) triblock copolymers can deliver multiple poorly water-soluble drugs (e.g., Paclitaxel) at clinically relevant doses. In this study, we synthesized a new drug-loaded vascular external graft with electrospun nanofibrous scaffolds [poly(l-lactide-co-?-caprolactone) (PLCL):fibrinogen; 2:1 (w/w)] and drug-loaded PLGA-b-PPO-b-PLGA micelles. Cell proliferation and viability assay results showed that beagle smooth muscle cells grew well on the surface of vascular graft-coated micelles at a percentages of 10% (w/w) GPG:PLCL-fibrinogen. This study demonstrates that micelle-coated electrospun PLCL-fibrinogen vascular scaffolds have potential applications in vascular tissue engineering. 相似文献

We report the results of an atomistic simulation study of the pressure-induced structural changes in YBa2Cu4O8 from 0 to 20 GPa. It is found that the crystal has similar compressibilities in the a- and b-directions over the whole pressure range, whereas in the c-direction there are quite different compressibilities at different pressures. Our results suggest that there exists a correlation between the charge transfer and the change in the Cu(2)---O(1) bond length, but we do not support the suggestion of a direct dependence of Tc on the length of this bond. However, we predict that there are anomalous changes in the CuO2 plane with pressure, which we propose may lead to a charge carrier redistribution on in-plane copper and in-plane oxygens, which in turn may be related to the optimum carrier concentration in the CuO2 plane. 相似文献

An experimental analysis of graded-index (GRIN) planar waveguides produced by ion exchange in soda-lime glass is presented. This study is based on a recent model describing nonlinear diffusion. Likewise the modal coupling between planar waveguides, produced in the same substrate, is analyzed in order to design efficient integrated optical components.
