We study the growth with time of (the coefficients of the asymptoticexpansion of) the error in the numerical integration with linearmultistep methods of periodic solutions of systems of ordinarydifferential equations. Particular attention is devoted to reversiblesystems. It turns out that symmetric linear multistep methodscannot be recommended in spite of the fact that they mimic thereversibility of the true flow. For reversible second-ordersystems, linear multistep methods without parasitic double rootsare useful.  相似文献

A diode laser spectrometer (resolution 0.0013 cm?1) was used to record, in the 12-μm region, high-quality spectra of the ν2 band of NO2. Using these spectra, it was possible to obtain the N2-broadening coefficients and an average self-broadening coefficient from measurements made for seven lines of this band. In addition, 30 single spin-component line intensities were measured. From them, through a least-squares fit, the purely vibrational transition moment of the ν2 band, as well as two correcting rotational terms involved in the expansion of the transition moment operator, were obtained. These results led to the determination of the dipole moment derivative x?q2 = ?0.06041 ± 0.0037 D. It was also demonstrated that there is good consistency between the correcting terms deduced from the observed intensities and their theoretical estimates. Finally, a complete spectrum of the ν2 band of NO2 was computed, providing a total band intensity Sv(ν2) = 0.542 × 10?18cm?1/molecule cm?2 at 296 K.  相似文献

High-spin states of 95,97Mo (Z=42, N=53,55) nuclei have been investigated through 82Se(18O, xn) reaction at Eb=60 MeV. The level scheme in 95Mo has been observed upto ≏ 10 MeV in the present experiment. The level structure shows mainly single particle character. In 97Mo, the ground state level sequence has been extended to ≏ 4.5 MeV while the previous information had been up to 2.4 MeV. A negative parity band built on 1437 keV (11/2) excited state has been extended to 5.5 MeV. The structure seems to show a coexistence of single particle and collective modes of excitation. Properties of both the nuclei have been compared with shell model calculations using OXBASH.  相似文献

Using new high-resolution Fourier transform spectra recorded at the University of Denver in the 2-μm region, a new and more extended analysis of the 2nu(1) + nu(3) and 3nu(3) bands of nitrogen dioxide, located at 4179.9374 and 4754.2039 cm(-1), respectively, has been performed. The spin-rotation energy levels were satisfactorily reproduced using a theoretical model that takes into account both the Coriolis interactions between the spin-rotation energy levels of the (201) vibrational "bright" state with those of the (220) "dark" state. The interactions between the (003) bright state with the (022) dark state were similarly treated. The spin-rotation resonances within each of the NO(2) vibrational states were also taken into account. The precise vibrational energies and the rotational, spin-rotational, and coupling constants were obtained for the two dyads {(220), (201)} and {(022), (003)} of the (14)N(16)O(2) interacting states. From the experimental line intensities of the 2nu(1) + nu(3) and 3nu(3) bands, a determination of their vibrational transition moment constants was performed. A comprehensive list of line positions and line intensities of the {2nu(1) + 2nu(2), 2nu(1) + nu(3)} and the {2nu(2) + 2nu(3), 3nu(3)} interacting bands of (14)N(16)O(2) was generated. In addition, assuming the harmonic approximation and using the Hamiltonian constants derived in this work and in previous studies (A. Perrin, J.-M. Flaud, A. Goldman, C. Camy-Peyret, W. J. Lafferty, Ph. Arcas, and C. P. Rinsland, J. Quant. Spectrosc. Radiat. Transfer 60, 839-850 (1998)), we have generated synthetic spectra for the {(022), (003)}-{(040), (021), (002)} hot bands at 6.3 μm and for the {(220), (201)}-{(100), (020), (001)} hot bands at 3.5 μm, which are in good agreement with the observed spectra. Surface anchored poly(methylhydrosiloxane) (PMHS) thin films on oxidized silicon wafers or glass substrates were functionalized via the SiH hydrosilylation reaction with the internal double bonds of 1,2-dilinoleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphorylcholine (18:2 Cis). The surface was characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, contact angle measurements, atomic force microscopy, and scanning electron microscopy. These studies showed that the PMHS top layer could be efficiently modified resulting in an interfacial high density of phospholipids. Grafted phospholipids made the initially hydrophobic surface (θ = 106°) very hydrophilic and repellent toward avidin, bovine serum albumin, bovine fibrinogen, lysozyme, and α-chymotrypsin adsorption in phosphate saline buffer pH 7.4. The surface may constitute a new background-stable support with increased biocompatibility. Further possibilities of functionalization on the surface remain available owing to the formation of interfacial SiOH groups by Karstedt-catalyzed side reactions of SiH groups with water. The presence of interfacial SiOH groups was shown by zeta potential measurements. The reactivity and surface density of SiOH groups were checked by fluorescence after reaction of a monoethoxy silane coupling agent bearing Alexa as fluorescent probe.  相似文献

Background

Recent studies have shown that the human right-hemispheric auditory cortex is particularly sensitive to reduction in sound quality, with an increase in distortion resulting in an amplification of the auditory N1m response measured in the magnetoencephalography (MEG). Here, we examined whether this sensitivity is specific to the processing of acoustic properties of speech or whether it can be observed also in the processing of sounds with a simple spectral structure. We degraded speech stimuli (vowel /a/), complex non-speech stimuli (a composite of five sinusoidals), and sinusoidal tones by decreasing the amplitude resolution of the signal waveform. The amplitude resolution was impoverished by reducing the number of bits to represent the signal samples. Auditory evoked magnetic fields (AEFs) were measured in the left and right hemisphere of sixteen healthy subjects.

Results

We found that the AEF amplitudes increased significantly with stimulus distortion for all stimulus types, which indicates that the right-hemispheric N1m sensitivity is not related exclusively to degradation of acoustic properties of speech. In addition, the P1m and P2m responses were amplified with increasing distortion similarly in both hemispheres. The AEF latencies were not systematically affected by the distortion.

Conclusions

We propose that the increased activity of AEFs reflects cortical processing of acoustic properties common to both speech and non-speech stimuli. More specifically, the enhancement is most likely caused by spectral changes brought about by the decrease of amplitude resolution, in particular the introduction of periodic, signal-dependent distortion to the original sound. Converging evidence suggests that the observed AEF amplification could reflect cortical sensitivity to periodic sounds.  相似文献
