Integral cross sections and pressure-broadening coefficients have been measured by molecular beam scattering and by high-resolution infrared spectroscopy, respectively, for the acetylene-argon system. A new potential energy surface (PES) is proposed to describe structure and dynamical properties of this prototypical weakly bound complex. The PES has been parametrized exploiting a novel atom-bond pairwise additive scheme and has been fitted to the experimental data. Calculations of the scattering cross sections (both differential and integral), pressure-broadening, and second virial coefficients have been performed using both the present and also the most recent ab initio PES available in the literature. Analysis of the new experimental data indicates that the anisotropy of the interaction in the well region should be larger than that obtained in ab initio calculations. This is also in line with previous spectroscopic results.  相似文献

We give an efficient method, combining number-theoretic and combinatorial ideas, to exactly compute black hole entropy in the framework of loop quantum gravity. Along the way we provide a complete characterization of the relevant sector of the spectrum of the area operator, including degeneracies, and explicitly determine the number of solutions to the projection constraint. We use a computer implementation of the proposed algorithm to confirm and extend previous results on the detailed structure of the black hole degeneracy spectrum.  相似文献

With the goal of their exploitation for the synthesis of heterocycles, sulfides 10 and sulfones 11, derived from the initial ring-opening of 2-nitrothiophene (5) with pyrrolidine/AgNO3 in EtOH, were reacted with diazomethane. Interesting dichotomic behavior was found to yield pyrazolines 17 from 10 and isoxazolines 18 (as the main products) from 11. Intriguingly enough, in the latter case, an unexpected apparent C-C methylene insertion was also observed, leading to the homologous cyclopropanes 19 as secondary products.  相似文献

Scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) was used to monitor in situ hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) produced at a polarized water/1,2-dichloroethane (DCE) interface. The water/DCE interface was formed between a DCE droplet containing decamethylferrocene (DMFc) supported on a solid electrode and an acidic aqueous solution. H2O2 was generated by reducing oxygen with DMFc at the water/DCE interface, and was detected with a SECM tip positioned in the vicinity of the interface using a substrate generation/tip collection mode. This work shows unambiguously how the H2O2 generation depends on the polarization of the liquid/liquid interface, and how proton-coupled electron transfer reactions can be controlled at liquid/liquid interfaces.  相似文献

In the past 15 years, we've experienced an unprecedented series of crises, including financial (2008), health (2020), and most recently the supply chain disruptions and the energy emergency in Europe, caused by the war in Ukraine (2022). On top of that, climate change still poses a serious threat to our lives and our planet. These interconnected challenges create tremendous societal problems and compromise the viability of the chemical industry in an environment of price volatility and high inflation. Thus, the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) has launched a series of actions to tackle this and raise awareness of the role of chemistry in solving our major threats. Since 2019, IUPAC has identified the “Top Ten Emerging Technologies in Chemistry” to connect chemical researchers with industry, bridging the gap between science and innovation, maintaining the current competitiveness of the chemical industry, as well as tackling our most pressing global challenges.  相似文献
