Transient behavior of a nonequilibrium plasma formed by merged beams

A low density, low temperature plasma formed by two merged beams of electrons and ions at near zero relative velocity is studied by solving a set of time-dependent rate equations. In particular, we investigate the role played by the radiative recombination (RR) and three-body recombination (TBR) on the population of excited states during the initial stage of plasma rearrangement and relaxation. It is found in the case of hydrogenic plasmas that low-lying states are filled predominantly by RR, while high Rydberg states are populated mainly by TBR. As the plasma further relaxes, the collisional excitation and de-excitation, and radiative decays become important, filling the median excited states. The dependence of the TBR and RR rates on ionic chargeZ is discussed to extend the result to plasmas of highZ ions.     

Syntheses, structures and third-order non-linear optical properties of homometal clusters containing molybdenum

Both the homometal cluster [P(ph₄)]₂[Mo₂O₂(μ-S)₂(S₂)₂] (1) and [Mo₂O₂(μ-S)₂(Et₂dtc)₂] (2) (Et₂dtc=diethyl-dithiocarbamate) were successfully synthesized by low-temperature solid-state reactions. X-ray single-crystal diffraction studies suggest that compound (1) is a dinuclear anion cluster, and compound (2) is a dinuclear neutral cluster. The two compounds were characterized by elemental analyses, IR spectra and UV-Vis spectra. The third-order non-linear optical (NLO) properties of the clusters were also investigated and all exhibited nice non-linear absorption and self-defocusing performance with moduli of the hyperpolarizabilities 5.145×10⁻³⁰ esu for (1) and 5.428×10⁻³⁰ esu for (2).     

球壳烯类的化学修饰

自从Kratschmer和Huffman发表了较为简便的制备和分离碳-60,碳-70的方法以来,对于球壳烯类,特别是碳-60的表征和物化性质已进行了较为翔实的研究。关于球壳烯类的化学修饰,尽管起步较晚,对其兴趣也日益高涨。本文综述了球壳烯类的化学修饰,特别在球壳烯外壳的化学反应方面。     

A novel trilinear decomposition algorithm： Three-dimension non-negative matrix factorization

Non-negative matrix factorization(NMF)is a technique for dimensionality reduction by placing non-negativity constraints onthe matrix.Based on the PARAFAC model,NMF was extended for three-dimension data decomposition.The three-dimension non-negative matrix factorization(NMF3)algorithm,which was concise and easy to implement,was given in this paper.The NMF3algorithm implementation was based on elements but not on vectors.It could decompose a data array directly without unfolding,which was not similar to that the traditional algorithms do.It has been applied to the simulated data array decomposition andobtained reasonable results.It showed that NMF3 could be introduced for curve resolution in chemometrics.     

Photocatalytic Oxidation of Aniline in the Gas Phase Using Porous TiO2 Thin Films

The gas-phase photocatalytic oxidation of aniline on a new kind of porous nano-TiO₂ composite films is investigated. The composite film was prepared on glass fiber with the water glass as binders and dilute H₂SO₄ solution as solidifying reagent. The surface characters were observed by scanning electron microscope. The photocatalytic degradation of aniline on the composite films was carried out in a TiO₂/UV system. Some important factors affecting the photodegradation, such as the concentration of TiO₂, the initial concentration of aniline, and the existing water vapor, are also studied. The product of photocatalytic oxidation was detected by Fourier transform-Infrared. The partial intermediate products were absorbed on TiO₂ surface, which resulted in catalyst deactivation. But when it was irradiated under UV illumination or solar irradiation for some time, the catalyst could be reused without loss of catalytic activity. Odd/even effect in the chain length on the enthalpy of micellization of gemini surfactants in aqueous solution

The micellization properties of cationic symmetric gemini surfactants, [CmH(2m+1)(CH3)2N(CH2)6N(CH3)2CmH(2m+1)]Br2 (designated as CmC6CmBr2, with m = 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 16), has been investigated by isothermal titration microcalorimetry. The critical micelle concentration (CMC) and enthalpy of micellization (DeltaHmic) were determined from calorimetric titration curves. The linear decreasing of log CMC with increasing the length of the hydrophobic chain is consistent with an increase in the hydrophobicity of the alkyl chain. Interestingly, with increasing the length of the alkyl chain, the DeltaHmic values of the surfactants with even numbered alkyl chains vary from endothermic to exothermic, whereas the DeltaHmic values of the surfactants with odd numbered alkyl chains are all endothermic and tend to become more endothermic. The pronounced even/odd effect in DeltaHmic is discussed with respect to the "donor-acceptor" interaction.     

Palladium-catalyzed regioselective arylation of imidazo[1,2-a]pyrimidine

Imidazo[1,2-a]pyrimidine can be arylated at the 3-position with aryl bromides in the presence of base and a catalytic amount of palladium. This provides an efficient one-step synthesis of 3-arylimidazo[1,2-a]pyrimidines from the unsubstituted heterocycle. [reaction: see text]     

苯丙水溶胶的合成与性能研究(I) 聚合工艺和反应组分对聚合稳定性和胶体性能的影响

用一次投料法、半连续滴加法和单体预乳化法三种聚合工艺，合成了苯丙乳液聚合物，并加氨微细化，转化成水溶胶，考察了聚合工艺和反应组分（乳化剂，功能单体等）对苯丙乳液及其水溶胶反应稳定性和粒子大小及分布等胶体性能的影响。
