Measurements on diproton emission from the break-up channels of ~(23)Al and ~(22)Mg

Two-proton relative momentum distributions from the break-up channels 23Al→p+p+21Na and 22Mg→p+p+20Ne at an energy of 60-70 A MeV have been measured together with two-proton opening angles at the projectile fragment separator beamline (RIPS) in the RIKEN Ring Cyclotron Facility. The results demonstrate the existence of diproton emission component from single-step 2He for highly excited 23Al and 22Mg.     

Efficient Excitation of a Symmetric Collective Atomic State with a Single-Photon Through Dipole Blockade

In the famous quantum communication scheme developed by Duan et al.[L.M.Duan,M.D.Lukin,J.I.Cirac,and P.Zoller,Nature(London) 414(2001) 413],the probability of successful generating a symmetric collective atomic state with a single-photon emitted have to be far smaller than 1 to obtain an acceptable entangled state.Based on strong dipole-dipole interaction between two Rydberg atoms,two simultaneous excitations in an atomic ensemble are greatly suppressed,which makes it possible to excite a mesoscopic cold atomic ensemble into a near-ideal singly-excited symmetric collective state accompanied by a signal-photon with near unity success probability.     

Lame Function and Its Application to Some Nonlinear Evolution Equations

In this paper, based on the Lame function and Jacobi emptic function, the perturbation method is appliedto some nonlinear evolution equations to derive their multi-order solutions.

Elliptic Equation and New Solutions to Nonlinear Wave Equations

The new solutions to elliptic equation are shown, and then the elliptic: equation is taken as a transformation and is applied to solve nonlinear wave equations. It is shown that more kinds of solutions are derived, such as periodic solutions of rational form, solitary wave solutions of rational form, and so on.

三维轴对称折叠腔CO2激光器的位相锁定

在一新型三维轴对称腔CO2激光器的基础上提出了一种对此激光器位相锁定的方法。通过在输出镜后放置一具有反射和整形作用的凹凸镜,让作为输出注入光束的谐振腔优先起振。此腔输出的光束到达凹凸镜时被其反射。利用重新定义光斑半径的方法,证明此光束能够覆盖其他放电管输出的光束,根据几何光学,此光束能反射进入各个放电管。然后利用光子简并度的概念证明了反射光束能够控制腔内的本征模式,并且数值分析了注入锁定后腔内模式匹配。在反射注入锁定的情况下,给出了数值计算的光强输出及其模拟,结果证明经位相锁定后,激光器输出光束的质量有了很大的提高。     

Design of the low energy beam transport line for the China spallation neutron source

The design of the China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) low-energy beam transport (LEBT) line, which locates between the ion source and the radio-frequency quadrupole (RFQ), has been completed with the TRACE3D code. The design aims at perfect matching, primary chopping, a small emittance growth and sufficient space for beam diagnostics. The line consists of three solenoids, three vacuum chambers, two steering magnets and a pre-chopper. The total length of LEBT is about 1.74 m. This LEBT is designed to transfer 20 mA of H-pulsed beam from the ion source to the RFQ. An induction cavity is adopted as the pre-chopper.The electrostatic octupole steerer is discussed as a candidate. A four-quadrant aperture for beam scraping and beam position monitoring is designed.
