Novel organic-inorganic nanocomposites were synthesized by chemical reduction of silver ions from silver acetate in DMSO and DMF solutions in the presence of the stabilizing copolymer of 1-vinyl-1,2,4-triazole-acrylonitrile. The solvents DMSO and DMF can act as efficient reducing agents for silver ions, which makes it possible to carry out the reaction under mild conditions and simplify procedures of nanocomposite isolation. The structure and properties of the starting copolymer and related nanocomposites were characterized by UV, IR, and 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy, as well as transmission electron microscopy and thermogravimetry. The prepared polymer nanocomposites contain 6.8–7.2% silver in the form of nanoparticles with a size of 2–20 nm uniformly dispersed in the polymer matrix. The nanocomposites are readily soluble in DMSO and DMF and do not decompose on heating to 260 °C. 相似文献

Actinoporins are the most abundant group of sea anemone cytolytic toxins. Their membranolytic activity is of high interest for the development of novel anticancer drugs. However, to date the activity of actinoporins in malignant cells has been poorly studied. Here, we report on recombinant analog of Hct-S3 (rHct-S3), belonging to the combinatory library of Heteractis crispa actinoporins. rHct-S3 exhibited cytotoxic activity against breast MDA-MB-231 (IC50 = 7.3 µM), colorectal HT-29 (IC50 = 6.8 µM), and melanoma SK-MEL-28 (IC50 = 8.3 µM) cancer cells. The actinoporin effectively prevented epidermal growth factor -induced neoplastic transformation of JB6 Cl41 cells by 34% ± 0.2 and decreased colony formation of HT-29 cells by 47% ± 0.9, MDA-MB-231 cells by 37% ± 1.2, and SK-MEL-28 cells by 34% ± 3.6. Moreover, rHct-S3 decreased proliferation and suppressed migration of colorectal carcinoma cells by 31% ± 5.0 and 99% ± 6.4, respectively. The potent anti-migratory activity was proposed to mediate by decreased matrix metalloproteinases-2 and -9 expression. In addition, rHct-S3 induced programmed cell death by cleavage of caspase-3 and poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase, as well as regulation of Bax and Bcl-2. Filtration of suspensions of emulsifier-free monodisperse polystyrene latexes with particle sizes of 0.25, 0.3, and 0.4 μm through acetylcellulose microfilters is studied as depending on the composition of liquid phases, the rate and time of filtration, and the particle-to-pore size ratios. The effect of particle-membrane interactions, which are governed by the electrostatic repulsion and molecular attraction forces, on particle rejection by membranes is considered. It is shown that, when analyzing the mechanism for the rejection, it is necessary to take into account the electrophoretic motion of particles in the field of the streaming potential arising in the course of suspension filtration. 相似文献

New water-soluble functional polymer nanocomposites with nanoparticles of metallic silver in a matrix of 1-vinyl-1,2,4-triazole copolymers with crotonic acid have been synthesized. The resulting nanocomposites contain isolated silver nanoparticles 2–12 nm in diameter, preferably spherical in shape, and uniformly distributed in the polymer matrix. ATR IR spectroscopy has revealed that the nanoparticles affect the state of the carboxyl groups in the polymer matrix. It has been found that the size of zero-valent silver nanoparticles depends on the ratio of monomer units in the polymer matrix. The thermo-oxidative stabilities of the synthesized copolymers and polymer nanocomposites produced on their basis have been examined. 相似文献

Complex studies of structural (the specific surface area, the volume porosity, the structural resistance coefficient, and the average pore radius), adsorption and electrokinetic (the electrical conductivity, the ion transport numbers, and the electrokinetic potential) characteristics as functions of pH and the concentration of KCl solution were carried out on porous glasses (PGs) with or without lead oxide and leached under various conditions. It was established that temperature of the leaching solution affects the colloidochemical parameters of PGs, while the addition of salt to the leaching solution exerts practically no influence on the PG behavior. The adsorption of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) on the quartz capillary surface that was preliminarily covered with a layer of cationic polyelectrolyte (CPE) is studied. The charge sign change of the modified quartz surface and subsequent increase of negative surface charge observed upon the adsorption of SDS indicate the formation of the second adsorption layer composed of surfactant molecules. It is shown that the surfactant layer is stronger attached to the surface at a higher charge of the CPE adsorption layer. Electrosurface characteristics (the exchange capacity and the electrokinetic potential) of the samples of cotton and wood microcrystalline celluloses (MCC) were studied as functions of the pH and the concentration of background electrolyte (10–3–1M NaCl). It was found that the MCC samples are negatively charged over the studied pH range (3.5–10.0). The results of measuring exchange capacities were used for calculating constants of surface reactions. The values of dissociation constants of the surface groups allow us to state that the charge of the MCC surface within the studied pH range is mainly determined by the dissociation of carboxyl groups. The surface and electrokinetically mobile charges, concentrations of fixed and mobile ions, as well as Donnan's potentials were calculated for the studied samples. 相似文献
