Water and ammonia adsorption mechanisms on anatase TiO2 (001) slab surface are investigated by means of periodic DFT approach. Molecular and dissociative adsorption energies for water are calculated to be ? 15 kcal/mol and ? 32 kcal/mol, respectively. Similarly, molecular and dissociative adsorption energies of ammonia on the same surface are found as ? 25 kcal/mol and ? 20 kcal/mol. A reverse result in this order is reached for the previous case of ONIOM cluster study (? 23 kcal/mol and ? 37 kcal/mol, respectively). The vibration frequency values are computed for the optimized geometries of adsorbed water and ammonia molecules on anatase TiO2 (001) slab surface and compared with the values reported in the literature. 相似文献

The dielectric and morphological properties of polythiophene (PT) filled with various mass fractions of chrom(III) acetylacetonate (Cr(acac)3), synthesized via chemical oxidative polymerization, are described. Significant shifts of the absorption peak of the C-S bond in the Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectra indicated that the metal cations mostly interacted with sulfur atoms. Thermal analyses performed by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) indicated that the cold crystallization temperature (Tcc) of PT decreased with increasing doping level. Microstructural differences were observed between PT and its composites in scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images. Dielectric measurements showed that the conductivity of the PT significantly increased with increasing doping level, from ?10?7 S/m to ?10?4 S/m at 10 kHz and 300 K. 相似文献

The optical characterization and chemical vapor sensing properties of 1,7-dibromo-N,N′-(bicyclohexyl)-3,4:9,10-perylene diimide thin film against to organic vapors were discussed in this study by using spin coating, UV–Vis spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy, surface plasmon resonance (SPR) and Quartz Crystal Microbalance (QCM) techniques. The perylene diimide thin films were fabricated with a refractive index values from 1.55 to 1.60 and thicknesses in the range between 15.80 and 26.32 nm using different spin speeds from 1000 to 5000 rpm. In this study, perylene diimide thin film sensor was exposed to dichloromethane, chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, tetrahydrofuran and ethyl acetate vapors by using both SPR and QCM techniques. Also, the swelling behaviors of the perylene diimide thin films prepared at different spin speeds were investigated with respect to dichloromethane vapor at the room temperature by using SPR data. Diffusion coefficients were found to be 11.34?×?10?17 (1000 rpm), 2.56?×?10?17 (3000 rpm) and 0.38?×?10?17 cm2 s?1 (5000 rpm) for dichloromethane vapor by using the Fick’s law of diffusion. This paper presents a novel optically addressed microactuator array (microfluidic "flash memory") with latched operation. Analogous to the address-data bus mediated memory address protocol in electronics, the microactuator array consists of individual phase-change based actuators addressed by localized heating through focused light patterns (address bus), which can be provided by a modified projector or high power laser pointer. A common pressure manifold (data bus) for the entire array is used to generate large deflections of the phase change actuators in the molten phase. The use of phase change material as the working media enables latched operation of the actuator array. After the initial light "writing" during which the phase is temporarily changed to molten, the actuated status is self-maintained by the solid phase of the actuator without power and pressure inputs. The microfluidic flash memory can be re-configured by a new light illumination pattern and common pressure signal. The proposed approach can achieve actuation of arbitrary units in a large-scale array without the need for complex external equipment such as solenoid valves and electrical modules, which leads to significantly simplified system implementation and compact system size. The proposed work therefore provides a flexible, energy-efficient, and low cost multiplexing solution for microfluidic applications based on physical displacements. As an example, the use of the latched microactuator array as "normally closed" or "normally open" microvalves is demonstrated. This study deals with the elastostatic problem of a penny-shaped crack in an elastic matrix which is reinforced by filaments or fibers perpendicular to the plane of the crack. An elastic filament model is developed in the first paper. The second paper considers the application of the model to the penny-shaped crack problem in which the filaments of finite length are symmetrically distributed around the crack. The reinforcement problem for the cracked matrix with elastic fibers of different diameter, modulus, and relative location is considered in the third paper. Since the primary interest is in the application of the results to studies relating to the fracture of fiber or filament-reinforced composites and reinforced concrete, the main emphasis of the study will be on the evaluation of the stress intensity factor along the periphery of the crack, the stresses in the filaments or fibers, and the interface shear between the matrix and the filaments or fibers. 相似文献

This study reports the synthesis, characterization and gas sensing applications of N-cyclohexylmethacrylamide (NCMA) monomer material using FT-IR, 1H and 13C NMR, UV-visible spectroscopy, Quartz Crystal Microbalance (QCM) and Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) thin film deposition techniques. The thin film deposition conditions of NCMA monomer material, which are prepared by LB film technique, are characterized by UV-visible spectroscopy and QCM system. The sensing behaviors of the LB film with respect to volatile organic compounds (VOCs) at room temperature are investigated. Surface pressure change as a function of surface area of NCMA molecule at the water surface shows a well-organized and stable monolayer at 18 mN m?1 surface pressure value for LB film deposition. Transfer ratio values are found to be ≥ 0.94 for quartz glass and ≥ 0.93 for quartz crystal substrate. The typical frequency shift per layer is obtained 20.10 Hz/layer and the deposited mass onto a quartz crystal is calculated as 824.62 ng/layer. The sensing responses of the LB films against chloroform, dichloromethane, acetone, toluene, benzene and ethanol are measured by QCM system. The sensitivities of the NCMA LB film sensor are determined between 0.085 and 0.029 Hz ppm?1. Sensitivities with detection limits are between 35.29 and 100.33 ppm against organic vapors. These results can be concluded that the monomer LB film sample is found to be significantly more sensitive to chloroform and dichloromethane vapors than others organic vapors used in this work. The possibility of using ionic liquid based chitosan sorbent for the separation and preconcentration of fluoroquinolone antibiotics (marbofloxacin, enoxacin, ofloxacin, ciprofloxacin, and enrofloxacin) has been studied. For this reason, different ionic liquids were prepared and coated on the chitosan sorbent. The conditions of the preconcentration of fluoroquinolones on a microcolumn have been optimized and the extraction efficiencies of the prepared sorbents have been compared. The compounds were eluted with 5 mL of 20% NH3 (v/v, MeOH) solution and determined by HPLC with diode array and fluorescence detector. The limits of detection were found as 4.23 µ g L?1 for marbofloxacin, and 1.09 µg L?1 for enoxacin; 3.23 × 10?3 µg L?1 for ofloxacin; 8.39 × 10?3 µg L?1 for ciprofloxacin; and 19.50 × 10?3 µg L?1 for enrofloxacin. The developed method was applied for the analysis of fluoroquinolone in milk, egg, fish, bovine, and chicken samples and the recoveries were obtained in the range 70–100%. 相似文献

The implementation of a structure based virtual affinity maturation protocol and evaluation of its predictivity are presented. The in silico protocol is based on conformational sampling of the interface residues (using the Dead End Elimination/A* algorithm), followed by the estimation of the change of free energy of binding due to a point mutation, applying MM/PBSA calculations. Several implementations of the protocol have been evaluated for 173 mutations in 7 different protein complexes for which experimental data were available: the use of the Boltzamnn averaged predictor based on the free energy of binding (ΔΔG(*)) combined with the one based on its polar component only (ΔΔE(pol*)) led to the proposal of a subset of mutations out of which 45% would have successfully enhanced the binding. When focusing on those mutations that are less likely to be introduced by natural in vivo maturation methods (99 mutations with at least two base changes in the codon), the success rate is increased to 63%. In another evaluation, focusing on 56 alanine scanning mutations, the in silico protocol was able to detect 89% of the hot-spots. 相似文献

A hybrid structure of a synthetic dendronized polymer, two different types of enzymes (superoxide dismutase and horseradish peroxidase), and a fluorescent dye (fluorescein) was synthesized. Thereby, a single polymer chain carried multiple copies of the two enzymes and the fluorescein. The entire attachment chemistry is based on UV/vis-quantifiable bis-aryl hydrazone bond formation that allows direct quantification of bound molecules: 60 superoxide dismutase, 120 horseradish peroxidase, and 20 fluorescein molecules on an average polymer chain of 2000 repeating units. To obtain other enzyme ratios the experimental conditions were altered accordingly. Moreover, it could be shown that both enzymes remained fully active and catalyzed a two-step cascade reaction. 相似文献
