Scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy measurements in the superconducting dichalcogenide 2H-NbS2 show a peculiar superconducting density of states with two well-defined features at 0.97 and 0.53 meV, located, respectively, above and below the value for the superconducting gap expected from the single band s-wave BCS model (Delta=1.76k_(B)T_(c)=0.9 meV). Both features have a continuous temperature evolution and disappear at T_(c)=5.7 K. Moreover, we observe the hexagonal vortex lattice with radially symmetric vortices and a well-developed localized state at the vortex cores. The sixfold star shape characteristic of the vortex lattice of the compound 2H-NbSe2 is, together with the charge density wave order, absent in 2H-NbS2.  相似文献

We propose a quantum tweezer for extracting a desired number of neutral atoms from a reservoir. A trapped Bose-Einstein condensate is used as the reservoir, taking advantage of its coherent nature, which can guarantee a constant outcome. The tweezer is an attractive quantum dot, which may be generated by red-detuned laser light. By moving at certain speeds, the dot can extract a desired number of atoms from the condensate through Landau-Zener tunneling. The feasibility of our quantum tweezer is demonstrated through realistic and extensive model calculations.  相似文献

We report on light amplification through stimulated emission in a dielectrically disordered medium. Liquid fragments confined in the solid matrix of porous quartz layers result in a random fluctuation of the dielectric function, and dye molecules embedded in the voids yield optical gain. The level of opacity is tunable by the ambient vapor pressure of the dielectric substance. In the multiple scattering regime, a strong intensity enhancement of the dye emission accompanied by significant spectral narrowing is observed above the threshold for a layer being in the opalescence state.  相似文献

The combination of high‐performance liquid chromatography and electrospray ionization ion mobility spectrometry facilitates the two‐dimensional separation of complex mixtures in the retention and drift time plane. The ion mobility spectrometer presented here was optimized for flow rates customarily used in high‐performance liquid chromatography between 100 and 1500 μL/min. The characterization of the system with respect to such parameters as the peak capacity of each time dimension and of the 2D spectrum was carried out based on a separation of a pesticide mixture containing 24 substances. While the total ion current chromatogram is coarsely resolved, exhibiting coelutions for a number of compounds, all substances can be separately detected in the 2D plane due to the orthogonality of the separations in retention and drift dimensions. Another major advantage of the ion mobility detector is the identification of substances based on their characteristic mobilities. Electrospray ionization allows the detection of substances lacking a chromophore. As an example, the separation of a mixture of 18 amino acids is presented. A software built upon the free mass spectrometry package OpenMS was developed for processing the extensive 2D data. The different processing steps are implemented as separate modules which can be arranged in a graphic workflow facilitating automated processing of data.  相似文献
