The first organocatalytic enantio- and diastereoselective conjugate addition of α-ketoamides to nitroalkenes has been achieved using a bifunctional amino thiourea catalyst. In this new approach, the substrate amide proton plays a critical role in the formation of the Michael anti-adducts in high yields and high stereoselectivities. To illustrate the high synthetic potential of this methodology, the diastereo- and enantioselective synthesis of a hexasubstituted cyclohexane via a Michael-Michael-Henry cascade reaction is described.  相似文献

In the present work we report the effects of a geometrical confinement and tilted applied electric field on the electronic energy levels in a semiconducting quantum disk. Calculations are performed in the effective mass approximation and using a variational method. The results can be summarized as follows: (1) due to the infinite confinement along the all directions of the heterostructure, the variational calculation with two parameters for tilted applied electric field can be treated with two independent each other variational parameters; (2) the magnitude of the energy shift is an increasing function of the applied electric field; (3) the effects of the applied electric field are magnified as the dimensions of the heterostructure (height and radius) grow; and finally (4) for large enough applied electric field the energy shift is a linear function of the applied electric field.  相似文献

We discuss the calculation of the force between surfaces coated with anchored molecules. This force is related to the pressure and can therefore be calculated by the usual means: either by summing over all surface-particle forces or from the virial. However, we argue that the grafting of the molecule must be included by means of a restraining potential-otherwise, nonphysical results can be obtained, such as the appearance of a net force even when the particles are spaced very far away. Bond-stretching potentials are also required if the virial is employed.  相似文献

Cognitive impairment is a common feature in multiple sclerosis (MS) patients and occurs in 60% of all cases. Unfortunately, neurological examination does not always agree with the neuropsychological evaluation in determining the cognitive profile of the patient. Water treatment has become a source of concern as new pollutants and higher volumes of waste water must be treated. Emerging biological approaches, namely the use of bioreactors, for cleaning processes have been introduced. The use of bioreactors requires the development of efficient monitoring tools, preferably with real-time measurements. In this work, a couple of flow injection systems were developed and optimized for the potentiometric determination of fluoride to monitor a rotating biological contactor (RBC) bioreactor and a sequencing batch reactor (SBR) with off-line and on-line sampling. Both the RBC and the SBR bioreactors were set up for the biodegradation of the halogenated organic compound 2-fluorophenol and, as fluoride was a degradation byproduct, the process was monitored by following up its concentration.The described flow injection potentiometric methods enabled the fluoride determination within the required quantification range 0.10-100 mM. The possible interferences from the growth medium were minimized in-line. The determination rate was 78 h−1 for the off-line monitoring of RBC and 50−1 h for the on-line monitoring of the SBR, with a sample consumption of 0.500 mL and 0.133 mL per determination, respectively. Furthermore, the overall reagent consumption was quite low. The accuracy of the system was evaluated by comparison with a batch procedure. The SBR efficiency was monitored both on-line by the flow system and off-line by HPLC, for comparison purposes.  相似文献

Eight cembranoid epimers at C-8 (1-8) were isolated from the organic extract of the Colombian Caribbean octocoral Pseudoplexaura flagellosa. Compounds 2, 4, and 6 are reported for the first time. Although compounds 1, 3, 5, 7, and 8 have been reported previously, their structures and NMR assignments are revised, completed or corrected. The structures of these compounds were established on the basis of detailed analysis of their spectroscopic data. Furthermore, the relative configurations of compounds 1-3 and 7 were confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The absolute configurations of compounds 1-8 were determined using a combination of the modified Mosher method and unambiguous chemical interconversions. Evaluation of their antifouling properties using quorum sensing inhibition (QSI) and biofilm inhibition bioassays showed that compounds 3, 6, and 7 have excellent QSI activity against Chromobacterium violaceum, as measured by inhibition of the production of violacein pigment, without interfering with its growth. Furthermore, compounds 3, 5, 6, and 8 exhibited inhibition of biofilm maturation without interfering in the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Vibrio harveyi, and Staphylococcus aureus. This is the first report of cembranoids as inhibitors of bacterial biofilm and as compounds that interfere with QS in C. violaceum.  相似文献

The interaction between quercetin and lipoxygenase was investigated by fluorescence spectroscopy. The analysis of the emission quenching at different temperatures revealed that the quenching mechanism correspond to a static process and, as consequence, a complex quercetin-lipoxygenase is formed. The thermodynamic parameters ΔG, ΔH and ΔS were calculated to be?32.57 kJmol?1,?3.21 kJmol?1 and 87.14 Jmol?1K?1 respectively, which suggest that hydrophobic forces plays a major role in the stabilization of the complex quercetin-lipoxygenase. The distance, r, between donor (lipoxygenase) and acceptor (quercetin) was calculated to be 3.84 nm based on Förster’s non-radiative energy transfer theory. The results obtained from the evaluation of three dimensional florescence spectra suggest a conformational modification of the protein in the region of the coupling with quercetin.  相似文献
