Improving the resolution and the uniformity of AFM tip induced oxide patterns with pulsed voltages

Oxide line patterns were fabricated on the surface of titanium (Ti) film using atomic force microscopy (AFM) tip induced local oxidation technique. The growth behavior of the oxide under static voltages was studied. It was found the lateral growth of the oxide experienced two stages and the growth rate at the initial stage was very high. Pulsed voltages were employed and their effects on the controlling of the oxidation dynamics were examined. The results indicated that the high lateral and vertical growth rates of oxide at the initial stage could be suppressed with pulsed voltages. A minimum line width of 8 nm and highly uniform patterns were obtained with optimized voltage pulses. These results indicated that applying pulsed voltage is an effective method for improving both the resolution and the uniformity of the fabricated structures with scanning probe microscopy (SPM) tip induced local oxidation technique.     

Optimization calculation of solid state power combining source of waveguide cavity

The optimization theory and calculation for waveguide cavity solid state power combiner in centimeter-wave and millimeter-wave region are discussed. The optimization theory of the combiner is to obtain the best structure and the best parameters by CAD(computer-aided design) technique so that higher output power, higher combining efficiency, compactness and steady properties can be achieved for the combiner.

镧与真空沉积银纳米粒子的金属间化合

根据HumeRothery规则,分析了银与镧两元素之间形成金属间化合物的倾向性,并根据真空蒸发沉积的条件,分析了在真空蒸发沉积情况下镧与银之间形成金属间化合物的可能性.用X射线光电子能谱化学位移方法对真空蒸发沉积的银、镧薄膜进行了分析,结果表明在真空沉积条件下镧与银之间的确形成了金属间化合物. 关键词： 金属间化合物 镧 银 纳米粒子     

Low-Threshold Random Laser with One Mirror and Feedbacks in PMMA Nano-Composite Films

A low-threshold random laser with one mirror and feedback is investigated in the PMMA film containing rhodamine 590 and TiO2 nano-particles. Incoherent and coherent laser emission is observed. Effect of particle concentration on light emission is explored, and the optimum particle concentration is obtained. Optical microscopy and scanning probe microscopy are used to investigate the film structure, and the principle of incoherent and coherent laser is analysed.
