Optical diagnostics of the atmosphere

The theoretical principles of the method of polarized laser probing of an aspherical atmospheric aerosol, oriented in space, are considered. An approach to estimating the effectness of methods of spectroscopic diagnostics of organic molecules, based on the study of photophysical processes occurring in them, is described. The possibilities of optical diagnostics of gaseous and aerosol media by short and ultrashort pulses on the basis of nonsteady and nonlinear effects are demonstrated. Calculation of parameters of plane-transverse inhomogeneities in waveguides with complex cross sections in the multimode regime

We present a method for studying plane-transverse inhomogeneities in waveguides with complex cross sections in the regime of incidence of several propagating and nonpropagating waves on an inhomogeneity. Vector eigenfunctions and critical wave numbers of waveguides with complex cross section have been determined using the method of partial regions allowing for a singularity on the edge. Angular distribution of superfluorescence energy of drops for the two-photon absorption of nano-and femtosecond laser pulses

Results of investigations into the spectral, energy, and spatial characteristics of rhodamin 6G fluorescence of a liquid drop are presented for the two-photon absorption of nano-and femtosecond laser pulses.
