Propargyloxycarbonyl chloride, 1, has been used to protect the hydroxyl and amino functionalities of amino alcohols and aminophenols in one pot using triethylamine or pyridine as a base. The increased reactivity of benzyltriethylammonium tetrathiomolybdate, 2, toward propargyl carbonates over propargyl carbamates is studied in detail and has been exploited further to develop an orthogonal protection strategy for the hydroxyl and amino functionalities. For example, 2-amino-1-butanol, 6a, was treated with 1 to get the N,O-diPoc compound 7a in 90% yield, which when treated with 1.1 equiv of 2 at room temperature removes the Poc group attached to oxygen while leaving the one attached to nitrogen intact to yield compound 8a in 85% yield. This particular observation offers a new protecting strategy where an amine and an alcohol group can be protected simultaneously in one pot, and in a later synthetic step, if the alcohol group has to be deprotected selectively, it can be achieved with 1 equiv of 2. 相似文献

Conformational analysis of vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) receptor binding inhibitor Leu1-Met2-Tyr3-Pro4-Thr5-Tyr6-Leu7-Lys81 by various NMR techniques and constrained molecular dynamics (MD) simulation studies revealed that the molecule had a turn structure involving its Tyr3-Pro4-Thr5-Tyr6 moiety with intramolecular hydrogen bond between Tyr6NH→Tyr3CO. In order to mimic the structure of 1, peptidomimetic analogs 2-4 were synthesized using conformationally constrained scaffolds of 3,4-dideoxy furanoid sugar amino acids (2S,5R)-ddSaa1 5 and its enantiomer (2R,5S)-ddSaa2 6. All these analogs displayed well defined three-dimensional structures akin to that found in 1. Peptides 2 and 3, which differed only in the sugar amino acid stereochemistry, show propensity of structures with identical intramolecular hydrogen bonds between ThrNH→MetCO. The micellar effet of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) on the initial stages of the reaction between (1) Fe(II) and p-benzoquinone, and (2) Fe(III) and hydroquinone have been investigated. In the former case acceleration was observed, the rate-[surfactant] profile showing a maximum. SDS has an inhibitory effect on the latter reaction. The extraction of Am(III) from nitric, hydrochloric, oxalic, phosphoric and hydrofluoric acids was studied using 0.4F di-2-ethyl hexyl phosphoric acid (HDEHP) containing 0.1M phosphorous pentoxide (P2O5) in dodecane/xylene. The extraction with pure 0.4F HDEHP was found to be negligible from all the media studied. However, the presence of a small amount of P2O5 in it increased the extraction substantially. The distribution ratios of Am(III) obtained for HDEHP - P2O5 mixture 3M nitric acid containing different concentrations of oxalic acid/phosphoric acid/hydrofluoric acid are in the order of 200-250. The same for 3M hydrochloric acid is very high (800). These distribution ratios are sufficiently high for the quantitative extraction of Am(III) from all the acid media studied. Different reagents such as ammonium oxalate, sodium oxalate, oxalic acid, hydrofluoric acid, sodium carbonate and potassium sulphate were explored for the back extraction of Am(III) from 0.4F HDEHP + 0.1M P2O5 in dodecane/xylene. Of these, 0.35M ammonium oxalate and 1M sodium carbonate were found to be most suitable. The back extraction of Am(III) was also attempted with water and 1M H2SO4, HNO3, HClO4 and HCl solutions after allowing the extracted organics to degrade on its own. It was found that more than 90% of Am could be back extracted with these acids. Using this method more than 90% of Am(III) was recovered from nitric acid solutions containing calcium and fluoride ions. 相似文献

High aspect ratio, sugar-decorated 2D nanosheets are ideal candidates for the capture and agglutination of bacteria. Herein, the design and synthesis of two carbohydrate-based Janus amphiphiles that spontaneously self-assemble into high aspect ratio 2D sheets are reported. The unique structural features of the sheets include the extremely high aspect ratio and dense display of galactose on the surface. These structural characteristics allow the sheet to act as a supramolecular 2D platform for the capture and agglutination of E. coli through specific multivalent noncovalent interactions, which significantly reduces the mobility of the bacteria and leads to the inhibition of their proliferation. Our results suggest that the design strategy demonstrated here can be applied as a general approach for the crafting of biomolecule-decorated 2D nanosheets, which can perform as 2D platforms for their interaction with specific targets. 相似文献
