A methodology is proposed for predicting the effective thermal conductivity of dilute suspensions of nanoparticles (nanofluids) based on rheology.The methodology uses the rheological data to infer microstructures of nanoparticles quantitatively,which is then incorporated into the conventional Hamilton-Crosser equation to predict the effective thermal conductivity of nanofluids.The methodology is experimentally validated using four types of nanofluids made of titania nanoparticles and titanate nanotubes dispersed in water and ethylene glycol.And the modified Hamilton-Crosser equation successfully predicted the effective thermal conductivity of the nanofluids.  相似文献

The effect of dynamical exchange interactions on the dielectric function of a two-dimensional electron gas is studied using a variational approach. Exchange effects are introduced via the local-field correction. It is shown that the ground state energy of a polaron in a magnetic field (calculated in the Feynman approximation) exhibits a discontinuity in the first derivative with respect to α (the electron-phonon coupling constant) if ωco (cyclotron frequency to LO-phonon frequency) is larger than 2.24. This discontinuity has the characteristics of a first order phase transition if α is interpreted as an inverse temperature. For ωc/ωo = 2.24 the transition is second order. We found that below the transition point the phonon cloud cannot follow the electron in its motion in the magnetic field.  相似文献

A procedure is presented, based on analytical methods, to solve the Boltzmann equation for polarons at finite temperature in crossed electric and magnetic fields. Explicit results for the distribution function are obtained, showing the effect of phonon absorption on the population inversion. Preliminary results are reported for comparison with the experimental data of Komiyama, Masumi and Kajita for the Hall current and for the mobility.  相似文献

Many proteomic projects based on a comparison of protein profiles displayed on two-dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis rely on the identification of these proteins using peptide mass fingerprinting on a matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometer after tryptic digestion. However, this approach is limited to an organism of which genomic information is largely available, i.e. when the total genome sequence is known. For other organisms, mass spectrometric sequence analysis is necessary for protein identification. We established a nano-LC-MS-MS system based on a quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometer, which allows automated sequence analysis of tryptic digestion mixtures from single gel spots. This system is applied in a differential-display proteomic study to identify differentially expressed proteins in the neuroendocrine cells of the neurointermediate pituitary of black- and white-background adapted Xenopus laevis.  相似文献
