In recent years there has been considerable progress in the application of large-eddy simulation (LES) to increasingly complex flow configurations. Nevertheless a lot of fundamental problems still need to be solved in order to apply LES in a reliable way to real engineering problems, where typically finite-volume codes on unstructured meshes are used. A self-adaptive discretisation scheme, in the context of an unstructured finite-volume flow solver, is investigated in the case of isotropic turbulence at infinite Reynolds number. The Smagorinsky and dynamic Smagorinsky sub-grid scale models are considered. A discrete interpolation filter is used for the dynamic model. It is one of the first applications of a filter based on the approach presented by Marsden et al. In this work, an original procedure to impose the filter shape through a specific selection process of the basic filters is also proposed. Satisfactory results are obtained using the self-adaptive scheme for implicit LES. When the scheme is coupled with the sub-grid scale models, the numerical dissipation is shown to be dominant over the sub-grid scale component. Nevertheless the effect of the sub-grid scale models appears to be important and beneficial, improving in particular the energy spectra. A test on fully developed channel flow at Reτ = 395 is also performed, comparing the non-limited scheme with the self-adaptive scheme for implicit LES. A tandem chromatographic procedure was used to isolate rapidly mouse IgM monoclonal antibodies produced by cultivation of hybridomas in vitro. Hybridoma culture supernatants containing mouse IgM monoclonal antibodies were first chromatographed on an anion-exchange Mono Q column connected to a fast protein liquid chromatography system. This anion-exchange step offers the advantage of obtaining IgM antibodies in a concentrated form. The IgM-rich fractions from the Mono Q column were then injected on a gel filtration Superose 6 column equilibrated with a low-ionic strength buffer and eluted with a high-ionic strength buffer. Assessment of the purity of isolated IgM monoclonal antibodies was performed by sodium dodecyl sulphate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis together with a Coomassie Brillant Blue R 250 staining technique. Assessment of the immunoreactivity of isolated IgM monoclonal antibodies was performed by an enzyme linked immunosorbent assay using a solid phase adsorbed antigen against which IgM monoclonal antibodies were directed. The chromatographic procedures described allows the rapid isolation of mouse IgM monoclonal antibodies produced in vitro at a high degree of purity and in an immunoreactive state. 相似文献

In this paper we propose a scheme for choosing basis functions for quantum dynamics calculations. Direct product bases are frequently used. The number of direct product functions required to converge a spectrum, compute a rate constant, etc., is so large that direct product calculations are impossible for molecules or reacting systems with more than four atoms. It is common to extract a smaller working basis from a huge direct product basis by removing some of the product functions. We advocate a build and prune strategy of this type. The one-dimensional (1D) functions from which we build the direct product basis are chosen to satisfy two conditions: (1) they nearly diagonalize the full Hamiltonian matrix; (2) they minimize off-diagonal matrix elements that couple basis functions with diagonal elements close to those of the energy levels we wish to compute. By imposing these conditions we increase the number of product functions that can be removed from the multidimensional basis without degrading the accuracy of computed energy levels. Two basic types of 1D basis functions are in common use: eigenfunctions of 1D Hamiltonians and discrete variable representation (DVR) functions. Both have advantages and disadvantages. The 1D functions we propose are intermediate between the 1D eigenfunction functions and the DVR functions. If the coupling is very weak, they are very nearly 1D eigenfunction functions. As the strength of the coupling is increased they resemble more closely DVR functions. We assess the usefulness of our basis by applying it to model 6D, 8D, and 16D Hamiltonians with various coupling strengths. We find approximately linear scaling. 相似文献

The behavior of (Z)-3-p-tolylsulfinylacrylonitrile (1) as a chiral dienophile has been evaluated from its reactions with furan and acyclic dienes. Electrostatic interactions of the cyano group with the sulfinyl one restrict the conformational mobility around the C-S bond, thus controlling the pi-facial selectivity, which is almost complete in all cases, the approach of the diene from the less-hindered face of the dienophile (that bearing the lone electron pair) in the predominant rotamer being the favored one. The regioselectivity is also completely controlled by the cyano group. Additionally, the reactivity of compound 1 as well as its endo-selectivity are both higher than those observed for the corresponding (Z)-3-sulfinylacrylates, thus proving the potential of sulfinylnitriles as chiral dienophiles. 相似文献

ABSTRACT: BACKGROUND: The peri-adolescent period is a crucial developmental moment of transition from childhood to emergent adulthood. The present report analyses the differences in Power Spectrum (PS) of the Electroencephalogram (EEG) between late childhood (24 children between 8 and 13 years old) and young adulthood (24 young adults between 18 and 23 years old). RESULTS: The narrow band analysis of the Electroencephalogram was computed in the frequency range of 0--20 Hz. The analysis of mean and variance suggested that six frequency ranges presented a different rate of maturation at these ages, namely: low delta, delta-theta, low alpha, high alpha, low beta and high beta. For most of these bands the maturation seems to occur later in anterior sites than posterior sites. Correlational analysis showed a lower pattern of correlation between different frequencies in children than in young adults, suggesting a certain asynchrony in the maturation of different rhythms. The topographical analysis revealed similar topographies of the different rhythms in children and young adults. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) demonstrated the same internal structure for the Electroencephalogram of both age groups. Principal Component Analysis allowed to separate four subcomponents in the alpha range. All these subcomponents peaked at a lower frequency in children than in young adults. CONCLUSIONS: The present approaches complement and solve some of the incertitudes when the classical brain broad rhythm analysis is applied. Children have a higher absolute power than young adults for frequency ranges between 0-20 Hz, the correlation of Power Spectrum (PS) with age and the variance age comparison showed that there are six ranges of frequencies that can distinguish the level of EEG maturation in children and adults. The establishment of maturational order of different frequencies and its possible maturational interdependence would require a complete series including all the different ages. 相似文献

Direct product basis functions are frequently used in quantum dynamics calculations, but they are poor in the sense that many such functions are required to converge a spectrum, compute a rate constant, etc. Much better, contracted, basis functions, that account for coupling between coordinates, can be obtained by diagonalizing reduced dimension Hamiltonians. If a direct product basis is used, it is advantageous to use discrete variable representation (DVR) basis functions because matrix representations of functions of coordinates are diagonal in the DVR. By diagonalizing matrices representing coordinates it is straightforward to obtain the DVR that corresponds to any direct product basis. Because contracted basis functions are eigenfunctions of reduced dimension Hamiltonians that include coupling terms they are not direct product functions. The advantages of contracted basis functions and the advantages of the DVR therefore appear to be mutually exclusive. A DVR that corresponds to contracted functions is unknown. In this paper we propose such a DVR. It spans the same space as a contracted basis, but in it matrix representations of coordinates are diagonal. The DVR basis functions are chosen to achieve maximal diagonality of coordinate matrices. We assess the accuracy of this DVR by applying it to model four-dimensional problems. 相似文献

For central collisions of (17-115)A MeV 40Ar+Cu, Ag, Au, an overall balance is determined for the average mass, energy, and longitudinal momentum. Light charged particles and fragments are separated into forward-focused and isotropic components in the frame of the heaviest fragment. Energy removal by the isotropic component reaches 1-2 GeV. Discrete Gamow-Teller (GT) transitions 176Yb-->176Lu at low excitation energies have been measured via the ( 3He,t) reaction at 450 MeV and at 0 degrees. For 176Yb, two low-lying states are observed, setting low thresholds Q(nu) = 301 and 445 keV for neutrino ( nu) capture. Capture rates estimated from the measured GT strengths, the simple two-state excitation structure, and the low Q(nu) in Yb-Lu indicate that Yb-based nu detectors are well suited for a direct measurement of the sub-MeV solar electron-neutrino ( nu(e)) spectrum including pp neutrinos. 相似文献
