In this paper, the concept of a pair of non-linear contraction type mappings in a metric space of hyperbolic type is introduced and the conditions guaranteeing the existence of a common fixed point for such non-linear contractions are established. Presented results generalize and improve some of the known results. An example is constructed to show that our theorems are genuine generalizations of the main theorems of Assad, ?iri?, Khan et al., Rhoades and Imdad and Kumar. We present a device which modifies the heat-pipe oven in such a way that the molecular number density can be drastically reduced. The device is essentially a small chamber with an independent internal heater inserted into the center of the ordinary linear heat-pipe oven which, in turn, serves as a reservoir of the liquid metal. The advantage of the present design of superheating within the heat-pipe oven, where temperature differences of several hundreds degrees centigrade were obtained, is shown in the case of far blue wings of the first self-broadened potassium resonance lines. 相似文献

A microscopic theory of resonant states for the Zn-doped CuO2 plane in the superconducting phase is formulated in the effective t–J model. In the model derived from the original p–d model, Zn impurities are considered as vacancies for the d states at Cu sites. In the superconducting phase, in addition to the local static perturbation induced by the vacancy, a dynamical perturbation appears that results in a frequency-dependent perturbation matrix. Using the T-matrix formalism for the Green's functions in terms of the Hubbard operators, we calculate the local density of electronic states with d, p, and s symmetries. 相似文献

For the nonautonomous dynamics defined by a sequence of bounded linear operators acting on an arbitrary Hilbert space, we obtain a characterization of the notion of a nonuniform exponential dichotomy in terms of quadratic Lyapunov sequences. We emphasize that, in sharp contrast with previous results, we consider the general case of possibly noninvertible linear operators, thus requiring only the invertibility along the unstable direction. Higher-order methods for the simultaneous inclusion of complex zeros of algebraic polynomials are presented in parallel (total-step)
and serial (single-step) versions. If the multiplicities of each zeros are given in advance, the proposed methods can be extended
for multiple zeros using appropriate corrections. These methods are constructed on the basis of the zero-relation of Gargantini’s
type, the inclusion isotonicity property and suitable corrections that appear in two-point methods of the fourth order for
solving nonlinear equations. It is proved that the order of convergence of the proposed methods is at least six. The computational
efficiency of the new methods is very high since the acceleration of convergence order from 3 (basic methods) to 6 (new methods)
is attained using only n polynomial evaluations per iteration. Computational efficiency of the considered methods is studied in detail and two numerical
