Wide-band SAW dispersive filter with a flat amplitude response

It is shown, that a dispersive delay line of a flat amplitude-frequency characteristic in the passband can be synthesized by using the method proposed in reference 1. Such a delay line can be applied in a chirp pulse compression system that exhibits lower side-lobe sensitivity to the Doppler frequency shift of the radar signal.     

The shock wave-based acoustic sniper localization

Acoustic signals of small arms’ fire, the muzzle blast and the shock wave generated by a supersonic bullet in air are difficult to mask and can be exploited for localization of the hidden sniper. The problem is formulated for the curvilinear bullet path of unknown parameters (velocity and acceleration) in a system of nonlinear equations that can be solved numerically. A successful iterative solution is presented in a computed example based on technically feasible measurements of the shock wave arrival times at a system of nine omnidirectional microphones distributed in the protected area.     

On <Emphasis Type="Italic">g</Emphasis>-functions for Laguerre function expansions of Hermite type

We examine weighted L ^p boundedness of g-functions based on semigroups related to multi-dimensional Laguerre function expansions of Hermite type. A technique of vector-valued Calderón–Zygmund operators is used.
