The T2K experiment observes indications of ν(μ) → ν(e) appearance in data accumulated with 1.43×10(20) protons on target. Six events pass all selection criteria at the far detector. In a three-flavor neutrino oscillation scenario with |Δm(23)(2)| = 2.4×10(-3) eV(2), sin(2)2θ(23) = 1 and sin(2)2θ(13) = 0, the expected number of such events is 1.5±0.3(syst). Under this hypothesis, the probability to observe six or more candidate events is 7×10(-3), equivalent to 2.5σ significance. At 90% C.L., the data are consistent with 0.03(0.04) < sin(2)2θ(13) < 0.28(0.34) for δ(CP) = 0 and a normal (inverted) hierarchy. 相似文献

A new sample clean-up procedure based on solid-phase extraction (SPE) sorbents was proposed for the determination of pesticides, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and polychlorinated biphenyls in soils and sediments. The main purpose of the research was to find a combination of sorbents for the SPE method that would permit the determination of many types of analytes (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, polychlorinated biphenyls, N-, P- and Cl-containing pesticides) in a single run. Elution profiles for both the analytes and the interfering components were determined for several types of SPE sorbents (alumina, silica and surface-modified silica) and combinations of them. The efficiency of the clean-up method developed was evaluated using real soil samples. 相似文献

The paper deals with recovering band- and energy-limited signals from a finite set of perturbed inner products involving the prolate spheroidal wavefunctions. The measurement noise (bounded by ) and jitter meant as perturbation of the ends of the integration interval (bounded by ) are considered. The upper and lower bounds on the radius of information are established. We show how the error of the best algorithms depends on and . We prove that jitter causes error of order , where is a bandwidth, which is similar to the error caused by jitter in the case of recovering signals from samples.

Numerical estimation was used to determine adsorption isotherm parameters of a single-component in a normal-phase system. The distribution isotherm of methyl deoxycholate was described between the mobile phase containing hexane, ethyl acetate, methanol with varied concentration and a silica gel adsorbent. The effect of the mobile phase composition on the isotherm parameters and the band profiles was investigated. The results obtained were used to simulate the overload gradient elution. The validity of the method proposed was verified by comparison of the computer simulations with the experimental band profiles. 相似文献

We consider a two-sample semiparametric model involving a real parameter and a nuisance parameter F which is a distribution function. This model includes the proportional hazard, proportional odds, linear transformation and Harrington-Fleming models (1982, Biometrika, 69, 533–546). We propose two types of estimates based on ranks. The first is a rank approximation to Huber's M-estimates (1981, Robust Statistics, Wiley) and the second is a Hodges-Lehmann type rank inversion estimate (1963, Ann. Math. Statist., 34, 598–611). We obtain asymptotic normality and efficiency results.
