We study the relaxation limit for the Aw-Rascle system of traffic flow. For this we apply the theory of invariant regions and the compensated compactness method to get global existence of Cauchy problem for a particular Aw-Rascle system with source, where the source is the relaxation term, and we show the convergence of this solutions to the equilibrium state. 相似文献
The aim of this study was to develop a titanium tetrafluoride (TiF(4)) varnish and evaluate the stability of the formulation and its reactivity with dental enamel. The varnish was prepared in a resinous matrix using ethanol 96% as solvent. Samples (n=45) were aged at 65 degrees C and 30% of relativity humidity (RE n degrees 01/05-ANVISA) and after 3, 6, 9 and 12 months, nine samples were removed for evaluation and compared with fresh samples. Chemical stability of TiF(4) varnish was determinate by (19)F-NMR and the reactivity of the formulation was quantified by formation of fluoride loosely (CaF(2)) and firmly bound (fluorapatite; FA) to enamel. For reactivity comparisons, a varnish without TiF(4) was used as control. The loss of soluble fluoride was about 0.9% after one year of storage. The values of the reactivity (mean+/-S.D.) of fresh, aged at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months and control samples were: CaF(2) (microg F/mm(2)): 89.3+/-27.5(a); 54.5+/-14.3(b); 51.2+/-29.8(b); 69.3+/-21.3(a); 48.0+/-27.4(b); 0.10+/-0.07(c), FA (microg F/g): 2477.5+/-1044.0(a); 2484.8+/-992.0(a); 2580.0+/-1383.9(a); 2517.2+/-929.9(a); 2121.0+/-1059.2(a); 330.0+/-180.0(b), respectively. Means followed by distinct letters were statistically different (p<0.05). After one year of storage, the formulation was chemically stable and the levels of FA were maintained. The photoluminescence (PL) properties of thin films of the conjugated polymer [poly(2,5-bis(2(')-ethyl-hexyl)-1,4-phenylenevinylene] have been investigated. At low temperatures the PL spectra show a narrow peak for the electronic transition and a series of well defined vibronic sidebands, which clearly reveal the electron coupling with two different vibronic modes. The purely electronic transition peak is observed to be very asymmetric so that it cannot be adjusted by a single Lorentzian or Gaussian function. In order to understand and explain this asymmetry we have considered a model where the purely electronic transition line shape is partially generated by a broadened square-root singularity representing one-dimensional electron states, and partially by localized (zero-dimensional) states. The localized states are assumed to be those very close to the band edges and are represented in our model by a single Gaussian function. Numerical Franck-Condon analysis was performed, resulting in a very good agreement between the theoretical and the experimental emission spectra. This procedure has confirmed the one-dimensional character of the electron states as the basis for the understanding of the purely electronic line shape asymmetry in the PL spectra of conjugated polymers at low temperatures. 相似文献
Anacardium occidentale leaves are used in folk medicine due its therapeutic properties attributed to phenolic compounds. Therefore, this study was undertaken on its hydroethanolic leaf extract (AoHE) to evaluate cytotoxicity and apoptosis induction on acute lymphoblastic leukaemia cells. Results indicated that AoHE interfered in the cell cycle progression, inducing apoptosis by activation of casp3 at lower concentrations, thence, a promising candidate for the development of new cancer drugs. 相似文献
A process for preparing three-layer piezoelectrets from fluorinated ethylene-propylene (FEP) copolymer films is introduced.
Samples are made from commercial FEP films by means of laser cutting, laser bonding, electrode evaporation, and high-field
poling. The observed dielectric-resonance spectra demonstrate the piezoelectricity of the FEP sandwiches. Piezoelectric d33 coefficients up to a few hundred pC/N are achieved. Charging at elevated temperatures can increase the thermal stability
of the piezoelectrets. Isothermal experiments for approximately 15 min demonstrate that samples charged at 140°C keep their
piezoelectric activity up to at least 120°C and retain 70% of their initial d33 even at 130°C. Acoustical measurements show a relatively flat frequency response in the range between 300 Hz and 20 kHz. 相似文献
The coherent dynamics of dc-driven quantum-dot array with two embedded time-dependent impurities is investigated, the exact crossings and avoided crossings in the quasienergies are associated with the evolution dynamics of the electron by the introduction of the envelope lines of the site's maximum returning probability. Through a perturbative scheme, the time-dependent Hamiltonian is replaced by an equivalent static one, whose structure reveals the new quantum tunnelling mechanism in the time-periodic driving system and sheds light on the alternative interpretation of dynamic localization and delocalization. 相似文献
Investigation of temperature-dependent photoluminescent properties of potassium perylene-3,4,9,10-tetracarboxylate (K4PTC), a molecule with no internal rotational degrees of freedom, shows aggregation-induced enhanced emission at room temperature. The different excitonic emission processes are dependent of temperature, some of which quenches in an intermediate temperature range (from 50 to 150 K). The exciton excited states switching phenomenon from "dark" to "bright" states is observed and its explained using Herzberg-Teller selection rule. K4PTC is a molecule comparable to the size of its precursor, perylene-3,4,9,10-tetracarboxylic anhydride (PTCDA) and is highly soluble in water, contrary to PTCDA, which is poorly soluble in most solvents. Powder x-ray diffraction measurements corroborate a lesser degree of ordering of bulk K4PTC compared to bulk PTCDA. The green luminescent molecule could, in principle, be used as a biomarker, or in photodynamic therapy, if further studies show relatively low toxicity.
