A new complex {[Na2(H2O)3(µ‐L)2Cu]4}∞ (L = N‐methyliminodiacetic acid) has been synthesized and structurally characterized. The complex crystallizes in the monoclinic, space group C2/c, with the unit cell parameters a = 16.556(3) Å, b = 8.0622(13) Å, c = 12.671(2) Å, α = 90°, β = 95.849(2)°, γ = 90°. The central metal Cu (II) ion is coordinated with two nitrogen atoms and four oxygen atoms belonging to two ligands. Simultaneously, the sodium is six‐coordinated with oxygen atoms coming from the ligand and water molecule; the sodium atoms related are bridged by oxygen atoms, forming a sodium chain. The structure consists of CuL2 moieties linked by sodium chain via the exo oxygen atoms of two ligands, forming a novel three‐dimensional structure. The design, synthesis and characterization of three novel fluorene-alt-thienylenevinylene-based copolymers have been reported. All these polymers consist of similar repeating unit, while thiophene unit with different substitution position is incorporated to well tune the conjugation degree that realizes multi-color luminance. These polymers show emission maxima in the blue, orange and red region of the visible spectrum. Considering the compatibility of luminescent materials with similar structure units, our methodology provides a facile and effective way for designing multi-color luminescent polymeric blending to realize full color electroluminescent (EL) devices. The lubrication theory is extended for transient free‐surface flow of a viscous fluid inside three‐dimensional cavities of general symmetric shape but of small thickness. The problem is closely related to the filling stage during the injection molding process. The moving domain is mapped onto a rectangular domain at each time step of the computation. A modified pressure is introduced, which in this case is governed by the Laplace's equation, and it is expanded in a Fourier series along the flow direction. The expansion coefficients are obtained using the finite‐difference method. This approach is valid for simple and complex cavities as illustrated for the cases of a flat plate and a curved plate. Only a few modes are needed to secure convergence in general. It is found that the flow behaviour is strongly influenced by the shape of the initial fluid domain, the shape of the cavity, cavity thickness, and the inlet flow. Magnetotransport through quantum dot structures is investigated numerically via a scattering matrix technique. The results for two typical structures show that the magnetoconductance is strongly dependent on the quantum dot geometry. For the symmetric quantum dot structure, it is found that the magnetoconductance profiles exhibit irregular structures and the magnetic field plays a similar role to that of disorder in the electron transport. For the T-shaped quantum dot structure, the oscillations in the conductance are found to be completely suppressed and the quantized conductance plateaus are recovered in a strong magnetic field, which is attributed to the asymmetry of the structure geometry with respect to the right- and left-moving edge states. 相似文献

A series of poly(aryl ether)s were successfully prepared via aromatic nucleophilic substitution reaction from various bisphenols and a novel bipolar aryl difluoride monomer containing electron‐donor triphenylamine and electron‐acceptor 1,2,4‐triazole moieties. The poly(aryl ether)s exhibited excellent solubility in organic solvents such as dimethylformamide, chloroform, and tetrahydrofuran at room temperature. The poly(aryl ether)s showed high thermal stability with Td10 higher than 500 °C and glass transition temperatures (Tg) higher than 187 °C. The thin films of the poly(aryl ether)s indicated bistable resistive switching behavior with ON/OFF current ratios as high as 103. The switching on and switching off bias voltages of the poly(aryl ether)s were affected by the bisphenol moiety. The good resistive switching behavior of the poly(aryl ether)s made them promising candidates for future nonvolatile memory applications. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
