Photoionization of Xe4+ to Xe7+ ions was studied by combining an electron cyclotron resonance ion source with synchrotron radiation. Multiconfiguration Dirac-Fock calculations were performed to interpret the data. Many autoionization lines were measured and identified, resulting from excitation of a 4d electron into nf and np orbitals followed by Auger decay of the excited states. The analysis of synthetic polymers represents today an important part of polymer science to determine their physical properties and to optimize the performance of polymeric materials for block copolymers as well as blend systems. The characterization can easily and rapidly be performed by mass spectrometry. In particular, the film formation of a synthetic polymer is of interest in material research and quality control, which can be determined by employing mass spectrometric imaging (MSI) using secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) or matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) mass spectrometry. MALDI-MSI has been rapidly improved for the analysis of tissue cross-sections due to its soft ionization and accessible m/z range, which both also play an important role in polymer science. On the other hand, SIMS-MSI enables a sub-micrometer molecular spatial resolution, which is limited in MALDI-MSI due to the spatial resolution capabilities of the laser desorption process. The aim of the present contribution is to summarize recent advances in both imaging techniques for the analysis of synthetic polymers and to highlight their capabilities to correlate several imaging modalities in future applications. 相似文献

The detailed characterization of macromolecules plays an important role for synthetic chemists to define and specify the structure and properties of the successfully synthesized polymers. The search for new characterization techniques for polymers is essential for the continuation of the development of improved synthesis methods. The application of tandem mass spectrometry for the detailed characterization of synthetic polymers using the soft ionization techniques matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry (MALDI‐MS) and electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI‐MS), which became the basic tools in proteomics, has greatly been increased in recent years and is summarized in this perspective. Examples of a variety of homopolymers, such as poly(methyl methacrylate), poly(ethylene glycol), as well as copolymers, e.g. copolyesters, are given. The advanced mass spectrometric techniques described in this review will presumably become one of the basic tools in polymer chemistry in the near future. The non-metal K-absorption edge of TiCx (1.0 ≥ x ≥ 0.6) TiNx (1.0 ≥ x ≥ 0.8) and VNx (1.0 ≥ x ≥ 0.8) have been measured by high resolution electron-energy-loss spectroscopy. The spectra are interpreted in terms of existing band-structure calculations. Changes of the unoccupied density of states due to non-metal vacancies are observed. 相似文献

We report on a Mössbauer study of the transferred hyperfine fields at the 151Eu nuclei in the Eu1?xSrx series of mixed compounds. The totally transferred hyperfine field amount ?(5.3 ± 0.3) T corresponding to saturation values for the hyperfine field of ?(33.4 ± 0.2) T for x = 0 and ?(28.1 ± 0.2) T extrapolated for x = 1. Our results strongly support fairly long range magnetic interactions instead of the generally accepted model covering only nearest and next nearest neighbour interactions. 相似文献

A preconcentration technique is described for silver, which allows the precise and accurate determination of silver in sea water at nanogram per liter levels. Silver is co-precipitated with cobalt(II) pyrrolidinedithiocarbamate from 200-ml samples. The precipitate is dissolved in concentrated nitric acid and silver is quantified by Zeeman graphite-furnace atomic absorption spectrometry, with acid phosphate matrix modification. The detection limit is 0.1 ng l?. The method is simple and rapid, and also allows the simultaneous extraction of lead, copper, cadmium, and nickel. 相似文献

We study the surprisingly complicated asymptotic character ofa simple first-order differential equation, which involves aterm with a low exponent of the dependent variable.
