The transition of the level density parameter a off from the low excitation energy value a off=A/8 MeV−1 to the Fermi gas value a FGA/15 MeV−1 was discovered a few years ago studying particle spectra evaporated from hot compound systems of A∼ 160. A number of experiments have been recently performed to confirm the earlier findings and extend the investigation to other mass regions and to higher excitation energies. Furthermore, precision coincidence experiments have been done in the lead region in which evaporation residues are tagged by low energy gammarays. Those experiments open the possibility of a detailed study of the level densities in nuclei where the shell effects are important.  相似文献

Capillary Sodium dodlecyl sulfate (SDS)-DALT an (abbreviation for Dalton) electrophoresis was applied to analysis of proteins in single HT29 human colon adenocarcinoma cells. A vacuum pulse was employed to introduce a single cell into the coated capillary. Once the cell was lysed, proteins were denatured with SDS, fluorescantly labeled with 3-(2-furoyl)-quinoline-2-carboxaldehyde (FQ), and then separated by using 8% pullulan as the sieving matrix. This method offers a few advantages for single-cell protein analysis. First, it provides reproducible separation of single-cell proteins according to their size. Based on comparison with the migration time of standard proteins, most components from a single HT29 cancer cell have molecular masses within the range of 10-100 kDa. Second, as a one-dimensional separation method, it gives fairly good resolution for proteins. Typically, around 30 protein components of a single HT29 cell were resolved, indicating that this method has similar peak capacity to SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE). Third, this method shows high detection sensitivity and wide dynamic range, which is important because of the wide range of protein expression in living systems. Detection limits for standard proteins ranged from 10(-10) to 10(-11) M. Finally, this method provides much higher speed than classical gel electrophoresis methods, and it provides automated anlysis of cellular proteins at the single-cell level; the separation is complete in 30 min and the entire analysis takes approximately 45 min.  相似文献

Quantum yields for photochemical ring opening of six alkylcyclobutenes have been measured in hexane solution using 228-nm excitation, which selectively populates the lowest pi,R(3s) excited singlet states of these molecules and has been shown previously to lead to ring opening with clean conrotatory stereochemistry. The compounds studied in this work-1,2-dimethylcyclobutene (1), cis- and trans-1,2,3,4-tetramethylcyclobutene (cis- and trans-5), hexamethylcyclobutene (8), and cis- and trans-tricyclo[6.4.0.0(2,7)]dodec-1(2)-ene (cis- and trans-9)-were selected so as to span a broad range in molecular weight and as broad a range as possible in Arrhenius parameters for thermal (ground-state) ring opening. RRKM calculations have been carried out to provide estimates of the rate constants for ground-state ring opening of each of the compounds over a range of thermal energies from 20 000 to 49 000 cm(-1). These have been used to estimate upper limits for the quantum yields of ring opening via a hot ground-state mechanism, assuming a value of k(deact) = 10(11) s(-1) for the rate constant for collisional deactivation by the solvent, that internal conversion to the ground state from the lowest Rydberg state occurs with close to unit efficiency, and that ergodic behavior is followed. The calculated quantum yields are significantly lower than the experimental values in all cases but one (1). This suggests that the Rydberg-derived ring opening of alkylcyclobutenes is a true excited-state process and rules out the hot ground-state mechanism for the reaction.  相似文献

An artificial viscosity, originally designed for Eulerian schemes, is adapted for use in arbitrary Lagrangian–Eulerian simulations. Changes to the Eulerian model (dubbed ‘hyperviscosity’) are discussed, which enable it to work within a Lagrangian framework. New features include a velocity-weighted grid scale and a generalised filtering procedure, applicable to either structured or unstructured grids. The model employs an artificial shear viscosity for treating small-scale vorticity and an artificial bulk viscosity for shock capturing. The model is based on the Navier–Stokes form of the viscous stress tensor, including the diagonal rate-of-expansion tensor. A second-order version of the model is presented, in which Laplacian operators act on the velocity divergence and the grid-weighted strain-rate magnitude to ensure that the velocity field remains smooth at the grid scale. Unlike sound-speed-based artificial viscosities, the hyperviscosity model is compatible with the low Mach number limit. The new model outperforms a commonly used Lagrangian artificial viscosity on a variety of test problems.  相似文献

In the past two years, papers have appeared in the literature which demonstrate that matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight (MALDI-TOF) mass spectra can be obtained from matrix-analyte preparations which have been produced by grinding the two materials together until a powder of small particle size is obtained. In the present study that methodology was modified and applied to an insoluble polyimide oligomer, poly(4,4'-oxydiphenylenepyromellitimide) (POPM). Two matrix materials were employed in this analysis, 1,8 dihydroxyanthrone (dithranol) and 3-aminoquinoline, with and without an additional cationizing agent. The spectra obtained by this method are shown to be sensitive to the matrix employed in the analysis as well as the quantity of cationizing agent combined with the matrix.  相似文献

[reaction: see text] The first stereospecific total synthesis of the sarpagine indole alkaloids (E)16-epiaffinisine (1), (E)16-epinormacusine B (2), and dehydro-16-epiaffinisine (4) has been completed; this method has also resulted in the synthesis of dehydro-16-epinormacusine B (5). The formation of the required ether in both 4 and 5 was realized with complete control from the top face on treatment of the corresponding alcohols with DDQ/THF in 98% and 95% yields, respectively.  相似文献

The new concept of supported ionic liquid catalysis involves the surface of a support material that is modified with a monolayer of covalently attached ionic liquid fragments. Treatment of this surface with additional ionic liquid results in the formation of a multiple layer of free ionic liquid on the support. These layers serve as the reaction phase in which a homogeneous hydroformylation catalyst was dissolved. Supported ionic liquid catalysis combines the advantages of ionic liquid media with solid support materials which enables the application of fixed-bed technology and the usage of significantly reduced amounts of the ionic liquid. The concept of supported ionic liquid catalysis has successfully been used for hydroformylation reactions and can be further expanded into other areas of catalysis.  相似文献

In the two previous parts of this group of papers, the results of measurements of the sound transmission properties of each of the two components of a domestic roofing system were presented and discussed. In this third and final part, the effect on the transmission properties of combining the roof and ceiling components will be investigated and discussed. Quantitative laboratory PH3 absorption spectra were obtained in the 800–1350 cm-1 region, at ~0.05 cm-1 resolution, with gas amounts corresponding to observed PH3 absorptions in the atmosphere of Jupiter. A compilation of spectral line positions, intensities and ground state energies has been generated for the v2 and v4 bands of PH3.
