Co/Pt multilayers with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy exhibit an exchange
bias when covered with an IrMn layer. The exchange bias field, which is
about 7 mT for 3 Co/Pt bilayer repetitions and a Co layer thickness of 5 Å, can be increased up to 16.5 mT by the insertion of a thin Pt layer at
the Co/IrMn interface. The interfacial magnetic anisotropy of the Co/IrMn interface
(KSCo/IrMn =-0.09 mJ/m2) favours in-plane magnetization
and tends to tilt the Co spins away from the film normal. Dynamical
measurements of the magnetization reversal process reveal that both
thermally activated spin reversal in the IrMn layer and domain wall
nucleation in the Co/Pt multilayer influence the interfacial spin structure
and therefore the strength of the perpendicular exchange bias field. 相似文献

Polyaniline deposited on As(2)O(3) surface resulted in a new material, which was characterized by infrared spectoscopy, thermogravimetry, differential scanning calorimetry, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and cyclic voltammetry. The mass percentage of polymer deposited on oxide surface is approximately 13%. The scanning electron microscopy images as well as the X-ray diffraction patterns provided conclusive evidence that the oxide surface is coated by the polymer. The cyclic voltammograms of the polyaniline adsorbed on As(2)O(3) surface showed that the adsorbate exerts remarkable effects on redox processes on this oxide. The pure oxide exhibited two oxidation/reduction peaks at 0.25/-0.06 and 0.47/-0.25 V attributed tentatively to the processes As(2)O(3)(s)+6H(+)+6e(-)=2As(s)+3H(2)O and As(s)+3H(+)+3e(-)=AsH(3)(g), respectively. 2-Methoxyethanol chemical ionization of amines, carboxylic acids and amino acids has been found to produce numerous adduct ions. The most intense adduct ions for amines are [M + H](+) and [M + 77](+), for carboxylic acids [M + 27](+), [M + 59](+) and [M + 77](+), and for amino acids [M + H](+), [M + 13](+), [M + 27](+) and [M + 77](+). Either the adduct ion [M + H](+) or [M + 77](+) was the most abundant ion found for amino acids. The proton affinities of amino acids are noticed to control the formation of the [M + H](+) and [M + 77](+) ions. The magnetic properties of (
La
1-x
Sr
x
)
MnO
3
crystals have been studied. The ac susceptibility has been measured at frequencies ranging from 10 Hz to 1 000 Hz. The x
= 0.25 crystal shows a typical ferromagnetic behaviour with a dimensionless SI susceptibility of 6 below T
c
= 350
K limited by the demagnetizing field. Both x
= 0 and x
= 0.06 crystals show very sharp peaks in and at the Néel points, 139 K and 135 K respectively. This is quite unlike the usual behaviour of an antiferromagnet. Magnetization
measurements on an untwinned single crystal of LaMnO
3
show a weak moment of at 4.2 K which is directed along the c axis. The origin of this canted antiferromagnetic structure is discussed in terms of anisotropy and of Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya
interaction. It is concluded that anistropy is insufficient to explain the canted antiferromagnetism.
