A connection which is both Einstein and semisymmetric is called anES connection, and a generalizedn-dimensional Riemannian manifold on which the differential geometric structure is imposed by a unified field tensorg through anES connection is called ann-dimensionalES manifold and denoted byESX n . We investigate some necessary and sufficient conditions for submanifolds ofESX n to be also Einstein and derive the generalized fundamental equations on various submanifolds ofESX n , such as generalized Gauss formulas, generalized Weingarten equations, and generalized Gauss-Codazzi equations. The antibacterial activity of water-soluble chitosan derivatives prepared by Maillard reactions against Staphylococcus aureus, Listeria monocytogenes, Bacillus cereus, Escherichia coli, Shigella dysenteriae, and Salmonella typhimurium was examined. Relatively high antibacterial activity against various microorganisms was noted for the chitosan-glucosamine derivative as compared to the acid-soluble chitosan. In addition, it was found that the susceptibility of the test organisms to the water-soluble chitosan derivative was higher in deionized water than in saline solution. Metal ions were also found to reduce the antibacterial activity of the water-soluble chitosan derivative on S. aureus. The marked increase in glucose level, protein content and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) activity was observed in the cell supernatant of S. aureus exposed to the water-soluble chitosan derivative in deionized water. The results suggest that the water-soluble chitosan produced by Maillard reaction may be a promising commercial substitute for acid-soluble chitosan.  相似文献

We present calculations for the mechanism and the barrier heights of tautomerization of adenine. We find various pathways for the 9(H) <--> 7(H) and 9(H) <--> 3(H) tautomerization. One mechanism for the 9(H) --> 7(H) tautomerization involves an sp(3)- or carbene-type intermediate, whereas the other proceeds via imine intermediates. Tautomerization from the 9(H) tautomer to 7(H) or 3(H) is predicted to occur with a very large activation barrier (60-70 kcal/mol), indicating that the processes may not occur readily in the gas phase. Interactions with the water molecule(s) are found to lower the barrier tremendously. We suggest that dramatic lowering of the 9(H) --> 3(H) and 9(H) --> 7(H) barriers by microsolvating water molecules may facilitate the formation and observation of the 7(H) and 3(H) tautomers in the solution phase.  相似文献

We have recorded extremely weak absorption in the overtone band 5-0 of 12C16O X 1sigma+ near 0.96 microm with cavity ringdown spectroscopy; the light source was a Raman-shifted dye laser pumped with a frequency-doubled Nd:YAG laser. This band shows lines in branch P to be much more intense than corresponding lines in branch R, in contrast to all lower overtone bands v-0 (v = 1-4). This reversal in relative intensity is explained quantitatively in terms of a radial function for the electric dipolar moment of CO. We have estimated absorption line strengths for P3-P18 in band 5-0 of 12C16O; these strengths are consistent with a pure vibrational matrix element <5/p(x)/0> = (3.6 +/- 0.3) x 10(-36) C m of the electric dipolar moment p(x), a Herman-Wallis coefficient C0(5) of about -0.1, and a band strength of (5.1 +/- 1.3) x 10(-29) m at 293 K.  相似文献

An electrochemical cell coupled with disposable screen-printed electrodes (SPEs) that is specifically designed for use in flow injection analysis (FIA) is described in this study. The cell is made of foldable polyoxymethylene (acetal) thick platelets with the bottom portion consisting of a cavity track to drag the SPEs in position and the top portion having predrilled T-like holes to arrange the Ag/AgCl reference electrode and stainless steel inlet & outlet. An "O ring" is suitably fixed on the top of the working electrode to form a thin-layer space where the electrochemical reaction can take place. Hydrodynamic characterization was validated by using a benchmark hexacyanoferrate redox couple. The results of practical analysis of glucose in human plasma clearly demonstrate the characteristics and applicability of the proposed wall-jet electrochemical cell in FIA.  相似文献

Through an estrogenic activity bioassay-guided fractionation of the 70% ethanolic extract of Cassia tora seeds two new phenolic triglucosides, torachrysone 8-O-[beta-D-glucopyranosyl(1-->3)-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl(1-->6)-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside] (1) and toralactone 9-O-[beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->3)-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->6)-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside] (2), along with seven known compounds were isolated. The structures of the new compounds were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic and chemical evidence. The estrogenic activity of the fractions and the isolated compounds were investigated using the estrogen-dependent proliferation of MCF-7 cells. In addition, the yeast two hybrid assay expressing estrogen receptor alpha (ERalpha) and beta (ERbeta) and the ERalpha competitor screening assay (ligand binding screen) were used to verify the binding affinities of the isolated compounds to ER. Furthermore, a naringinase pre-treatment of the 70% alcoholic extract of Cassia tora seeds resulted in a significant increase in its estrogenic activity. From the naringinase pre-treated extract six compounds were isolated, among which 6-hydroxymusizin and aurantio-obtusin showed the most potent estrogenic activity, while torachrysone, rubrofusarin and toralactone showed a significant anti-estrogenic activity. Finally, the structure requirements responsible for the estrogenic activity of the isolated compounds were studied by investigating the activity of several synthetic compounds and chemically modifying the isolated compounds. The basic nucleus 1,3,8-trihyroxynaphthalene (T(3)HN) was found to play a principal role in the binding affinity of these compounds to ER.  相似文献
