This study examines the electroacoustics of particles dispersed in polymer hydrogels, with the particle size either less than or greater than the gel mesh size. When the particles are smaller than the gel mesh size, their acoustic vibration is resisted by only the background water medium, and the measured dynamic electrophoretic mobility, μ(d) (obtained in terms of colloid vibration current, CVI), is the same as that in water. For the case of particles larger than the gel mesh size, μ(d) is decreased due to trapping, and the net decrease depends on the viscoelastic properties of the gel. The gel mesh size was varied by varying its cross-link density, with the latter being characterized as the storage modulus, G'. The dependence of mobility on G', for systems of a given particle size, and on particle size, for gels of a given G', are investigated. The measured mobility remains constant as G' is increased (i.e., mesh size is decreased) up to a value of approximately 300 Pa, beyond which it decreases. In the second set of measurements, the trapped particle size was increased in a gel medium of constant mesh size, with G' being approximately 100 Pa. In this case, the measured μ(d) is found to be effectively constant over the particle size range studied (14-120 nm); that is, it is independent of the degree of trapping as expressed by the ratio of the particle size to the mesh size. 相似文献

Iron doped semiconducting nanoparticles Sn1−xFexO2 with x=0, 0.001, 0.002, 0.003, 0.004, 0.01 and 0.03 were prepared by a sol-gel method. The X-ray diffraction, Transmission Electron Microscopy measurements confirm the rutile structure with no impurity phase. The three characteristic lines of electron spin resonance (ESR) are observed in the doped samples for all compositions, which is a clear evidence for rhombic Fe3+ in rutile phase. The line width of ESR increases with increase in Fe concentration due to induced disorder. The spin-pumping effect is observed at temperatures below 250 K for the samples with x=0.01 and 0.03. However, based on the Curie-Weiss susceptibility, iron is in paramagnetic state and is subject to weak antiferromagnetic interaction. Blue shift in the optical band gap is observed with increase in the Fe content. 相似文献

A new system combining a soft plasma ionization (SPI) source with a time-of-flight mass spectrometer (TOFMS) has been successfully developed and applied to direct and on-line analysis of nanoparticles in smoke generated during combustion of mosquito coils with no sample preparation. The mass spectra of nanoparticles in smoke were examined in conjunction with the effects of species, pressure and current of the SPI discharge on fragmentation. The results indicated that a maximum mass of m/z 1576 was detectable when the following optima SPI conditions were satisfied: a He gas pressure of 1000 Pa with an air pressure of 1600 Pa and a discharge current of 110 mA. Furthermore, considering the results for emission spectra we suppose an ionization mechanism of SPI in which excitation and ionization of nitrogen molecule is promoted by the presence of He gas, leading to promote the smoke sample ionization. The mass spectrum of nanoparticles showed specific patterns of a peak interval of 74 which were assigned to triacetylene (1,3,5-hexatriyne). The most abundant peak in the mass spectrum, at m/z 452, was assigned to triacontanoic acid. 相似文献

Resolution of racemic glycidyl (o, m, p)-methylphenyl ethers by using a newly isolated Botryosphaeria dothidea ZJUZQ007 with epoxide hydrolase activity affords enantiopure epoxides with enantiomeric excesses (e.e.s) of 91–99% and enantiomeric ratios (E) of 18.1 to 48.6. The (R)-enantiomer was obtained from rac-glycidyl (o or m)-methylphenyl ethers whereas the (S)-epoxides was obtained from glycidyl p-methylphenyl ether. Electrochemical detection of ultratrace nitroaromatic explosives using ordered mesoporous carbon 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
A sensitive electrochemical sensor has been fabricated to detect ultratrace nitroaromatic explosives using ordered mesoporus carbon (OMC). OMC was synthesized and characterized by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and nitrogen adsorption/desorption measurements. Glassy carbon electrodes functionalized with OMC show high sensitivity of 62.7 μA cm−2 per ppb towards 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT). By comparison with other materials such as carbon nanotubes and ordered mesoporous silica, it is found that the high performance of OMC toward sensing TNT is attributed to its large specific surface area and fast electron transfer capability. As low as 0.2 ppb TNT, 1 ppb 2,4-dinitrotoluene and 1 ppb 1,3-dinitrobenzene can be detected on OMC based electrodes. This work renders new opportunities to detect ultratrace explosives for applications of environment protections and home securities against chemical warfare agents. 相似文献

The paper is focused on the powerful prediction ability of the quantitative DNA sieving model in DNA separations by capillary electrophoresis, which was proposed by us previously. First, the DNA resolution can be predicted by the theory. The model predicts that the most difficult and easiest separation will be 184bp/192bp and 234bp/267bp respectively, which is consist with experimental results. Furthermore, the average relative differences of predicted and experimental resolution values (R(S)) for ssDNA 184b/192b or dsDNA 184bp/192bp were all smaller than 2.8% if the diffuse parameter D considered was 8×10(-5) cm(2)/s. Secondly, the optimum polymer concentrations for DNA separation were also calculated by the model, and the results show that polymer concentration should be as high as possible in DNA separation. Thirdly, the sieving ability of polymer will be predicted by the model. Polymer with smaller k, a polymer parameter calculated by the model, is prior to use as DNA sieving media. 相似文献

建立了亲水作用色谱(HILIC)测定组织中全基因组DNA甲基化水平的方法。采用苯酚-氯仿提取组织中的DNA,提取的DNA用88%甲酸在140 ℃下裂解,经N2吹干后,加乙腈-水(9:1, v/v)溶解,用Waters BEH HILIC柱进行分离,在277 nm波长下检测胞嘧啶(Cyt)及5-甲基胞嘧啶(5-mCyt)含量。结果表明,以乙腈-10 mmol/L甲酸铵溶液(94:6, v/v)为流动相,流速为0.5 mL/min, Cyt与5-mCyt分离较好,保留时间分别为2.6与3.1 min。胞嘧啶的线性范围为1~900 μmol/L,相关系数为0.9999; 5-甲基胞嘧啶的线性范围为1~64 μmol/L,相关系数为0.9998。胞嘧啶和5-甲基胞嘧啶的检出限为54 nmol/L(柱中为0.54 pmol),定量限为250 nmol/L(柱中为2.5 pmol);在5~900 μmol/L的添加水平下,胞嘧啶和5-甲基胞嘧啶的平均加标回收率为94.7%~100.5%,相对标准偏差小于1.48%。用该方法检测了结肠癌组织中DNA甲基化水平,结果显示该癌组织中全基因组的DNA甲基化均值为4.0%。该方法快速、简单,稳定性好,灵敏度较高,能满足全基因组DNA甲基化的检测要求。 相似文献
