Temperature- and field-dependent measurements of the Hall effect of pure and 4% Rh-doped URu2Si2 reveal low density (0.03 hole/U) high mobility carriers to be unique to the "hidden order" phase and consistent with an itinerant density-wave order parameter. The Fermi surface undergoes a series of abrupt changes as the magnetic field is increased. When combined with existing de Haas-van Alphen data, the Hall data expose a strong interplay between the stability of the "hidden order," the degree of polarization of the Fermi liquid, and the Fermi surface topology.  相似文献

In the present work, porous 3D CdO‐microstructured electrode obtained by pyrolysis of 3D CdCO3 microstructures is self‐sensitized with CdSe using an ion exchange reaction. After sensitization, an interfacial treatment of the CdO–CdSe interface is performed by depositing a thin film of PEDOT using a photoinduce polymerization route. The microstructured electrode before and after interfacial treatment is characterized using field‐emission scanning microscope, energy dispersive X‐ray analyzer, contact angle measurement, UV–Visible absorption spectrophotometer and X‐ray photoelectron spectrometer. After constructing a liquid junction solar cell with a Pt counter electrode, the photovoltaic performance and interfacial charge transfer kinetics across the CdO–CdSe interface before and after PEDOT treatment are investigated. The results exhibit an improved interfacial charge‐transfer resistance after the PEDOT treatment, which leads to enhance the short‐circuit current by 15.81% and the power conversion efficiency by 19.82%.  相似文献

Preparation of proteins from salt‐gland‐rich tissues of mangrove plant is necessary for a systematic study of proteins involved in the plant's unique desalination mechanism. Extraction of high‐quality proteins from the leaves of mangrove tree species, however, is difficult due to the presence of high levels of endogenous phenolic compounds. In our study, preparation of proteins from only a part of the leaf tissues (i.e. salt gland‐rich epidermal layers) was required, rendering extraction even more challenging. By comparing several extraction methods, we developed a reliable procedure for obtaining proteins from salt gland‐rich tissues of the mangrove species Avicennia officinalis. Protein extraction was markedly improved using a phenol‐based extraction method. Greater resolution 1D protein gel profiles could be obtained. More promising proteome profiles could be obtained through 1D‐LC‐MS/MS. The number of proteins detected was twice as much as compared to TUTS extraction method. Focusing on proteins that were solely present in each extraction method, phenol‐based extracts contained nearly ten times more proteins than those in the extracts without using phenol. The approach could thus be applied for downstream high‐throughput proteomic analyses involving LC‐MS/MS or equivalent. CeF3 and CeF3:Tb3+ nanocrystals were successfully synthesized through a facile and effective polyol-mediated route with ethylene glycol (EG) as solvent. Various experimental techniques including X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), and photoluminescence (PL) spectra as well as decay dynamics were used to characterize the samples. The results indicated that the content of NH4F and reactant concentrations were key factors in the product shape and size. Excessive NH4F was necessary for the formation of hexagonal nanoplates. The specific morphology of product can be controlled by changing the NH4F content and reactant concentrations. In addition, Tb3+ doped-CeF3 sample shows strong green emission centered at 544 nm corresponding to the 5D4-7F5 transition of Tb3+. Due to the decrease of nonradiative decay rate, the lifetime of 5D4 level of Tb3+ become longer gradually upon increasing the size of product.  相似文献

To evaluate a suitable electrode material for the efficient green energy generation of a bio-fuel cell, carbonaceous based carbon cloth, carbon paper, and carbon felt electrodes were investigated under different mediators. The larger surface area, low resistance, and open network of interwoven fibers of the carbon felt electrode facilitated higher electron transfer from the microbial organisms to the electrode surface than that of other carbonaceous electrodes. Carbon paper electrode exhibited lower fuel cell performances due to its lower roughness and high tortuous nature. The green power generation experiments were also carried out under different mediators such as 2-hydroxy-l,4-naphthoquinone and thionin. The electrons mitigation and power generation was augmented by 2-hydroxy-l,4-naphthoquinone than thionin due to its high solubility, stability, and minimal adsorption characteristic to the electrodes. By the combined efforts of extended electrons generation and transportation, bio-fuel cell performances were extended and endorsed its doable applications in bio-fuel cells.  相似文献
