Redetermination of (6R,7S,9S,11S)‐(–)‐sparteinium monoperchlorate

The structure of the title compound, C₁₅H₂₇N₂⁺·ClO₄^?, consists of a monoprotonated sparteinium cation and a perchlorate anion. The two tertiary N atoms of the cation, one perchlorate O atom and a H atom form a bifurcated hydrogen bond, the four hydrogen‐bonding atoms being nearly in the same plane.     

Calculation of vertical ionization potentials of difluoramine by perturbation corrections to koopmans' theorem

The vertical ionization potentials of difluoramine are calculated by perturbation corrections to Koopmans' theorem. The calculation shows that difluoraimine has three overlapping bands between 15 and 16 eV. The calculated results compare well with the experimental values. The photoelectron spectrum of difluoramine is compared with that of OF₂ and CH₂F₂.     

Theoretical Study on the Structures and Stability of Isomers and Complex of[Si,C,O,O] Sytem

A detailed singlet potential energy surface(PES) of [Si,C,O,O] system including a van der Waals (vdW) comples SiO……CO2,eight isomers,and twelve transiton states is investigated by MP2 and QCISD(T) (single-point)methods.At the final QCISD(T)/6-311 G(2df)//MP2/6-311G(d) level with zero-point energy included,the complex SiO……CO is found to be thermodynamically and kinetically the most stable species.Although eight ismoers are located as local energy minima,they are rather unstable toward isomerization to the dissociation fragments or comples.For the reaction of silocon atoms with carbon dioxide,two competitive reaction channels are found,and the primary pathway,which leads to the products of SiO and CO fragments,is the direct oxygen-abstraction process from carbon dioxide by silicon atom with a41.16 kJ/mol reaction barrier height.Our predications are in good agreement with previous experimental and theoretical studies.

Functionalized Self-Assembled Monolayers on Gold as Binding Matrices for the Screening of Antibody-Antigen Interactions

Two different types of -substituted alkanethiol/disulfide compounds have been used to prepare monolayer architectures on gold serving as platforms for the immobilization of receptor probe molecules – antibodies. These are: (i) carboxylic acid alkanethiols post-reacted with amino biotin to generate streptavidin surfaces, and (ii) N-hydroxysuccinimide-terminated disulfide surfaces. The properties of the monolayers, with and without attached receptor probe molecules, were analysed using infrared spectroscopy, ellipsometry, fluorescence scanning and atomic force microscopy. Several experimental parameters, such as condensation reagents, additives, probe and target concentrations and immobilization time, were systematically varied to determine the dynamic range and to optimize the sensitivity and signal-to-noise ratio of the biochip platforms. Fluorescence screening using Cy5-labelled antigens finally demonstrated that both surfaces could be successfully employed to immobilize the antibodies.
