The organoborane‐catalyzed reductive carbocyclization of homoallylic alcohols has been developed by using hydrosilanes as reducing reagents to provide a range of 1,2‐disubstituted arylcyclobutanes. The reaction proceeds in a cis‐selective manner with high efficiency under mild conditions. Mechanistic studies, including deuterium scrambling and Hammett studies, and DFT calculations, suggest a dual ring‐closing pathway.  相似文献

Nonulosonic acids, commonly referred to as sialic acids, are a highly important group of nine-carbon sugars common to all domains of life. They all share biosynthetic and structural features, but otherwise display a remarkable chemical diversity. In humans, sialic acids cover all cells which makes them important for processes such as cellular protection, immunity and brain development. On the other hand, sialic acids and other nonulosonic acids have been associated with pathological processes including cancer and viral infections. In prokaryotes, nonulosonic acids are commonly associated with pathogens, which developed through molecular mimicry a strategy to circumvent the host''s immune response. However, the remarkably large chemical diversity of prokaryotic nonulosonic acids challenges their discovery, and research on molecular characteristics essential for medical applications are often not feasible. Here, we demonstrate a novel, universal large-scale discovery approach that tackles the unmapped diversity of prokaryotic nonulosonic acids. Thereby, we utilize selective chemical labelling combined with a newly established mass spectrometric all-ion-reaction scanning approach to identify nonulosonic acids and other ulosonic acid-like sugars. In doing so, we provide a first molecular-level comparative study on the frequency and diversity across different phyla. We not only illustrate their surprisingly wide-spread occurrence in non-pathogenic species, but also provide evidence of potential higher carbon variants. Many biomedical studies rely on synthetic routes for sialic acids, which are highly demanding and often of low product yields. Our approach enables large-scale exploration for alternative sources of these highly important compounds.

A selective and sensitive liquid chromatography–mass spectrometric method in ESI (+ve) mode was developed and validated completely in human plasma. Clonidine and IS, carbamazapine, were extracted from human plasma via liquid–liquid extraction with ethyl acetate. Following evaporation under nitrogen, the residue was reconstituted with mobile phase and analyzed using API 4000 LC–MS–MS system. An isocratic program with binary mobile phases (0.1% formic acid in water and acetonitrile) was used to separate interference peaks by a C18 analytical column. Linearity range was 0.49–73.98 ng mL−1. The intra- and inter-day accuracy and precision were within acceptable limits (≤15%). This method was successfully applied to a single dose 25 μg tablets BE study of clonidine in healthy male volunteers.

Cu4Mo6Se8 has been synthesized by intercalation of Cu into Cu2Mo6Se8 at room temperature, and its crystal structure has been determined. This compound crystallizes in the triclinic space group P, with a = 6.7609(8) A, b = 6.8122(7) A, c = 7.9355(10) A, alpha = 70.739(4) degrees , beta = 72.669(4) degrees , gamma = 84.555(5) degrees , and Z = 1. Instead of residing in the voids between corners or edges of Mo6Se8 clusters as in the classic R Chevrel structure, the Cu atoms in Cu4Mo6Se8 fully occupy four sites between faces of two adjacent Mo6Se8 clusters. Thus, two of the six Mo atoms in each cluster do not have capping Se atoms from neighboring clusters. This represents a new triclinic structure type for Chevrel phases. In addition to the synthesis and crystal structure, we present and discuss results from electronic structure calculations using both extended Hückel and density functional theory. These calculations predict Cu4Mo6Se8 to be metallic. We also report results from Cu intercalation into Chevrel phase sulfides and tellurides. Preliminary experiments suggest that a telluride analogue of Cu4Mo6Se8 exists.  相似文献

A mild and robust direct C? H functionalization strategy has been applied to the synthesis of axially chiral biaryls. Such an efficient and stereoselective transformation occurs through an original dynamic kinetic resolution pathway enabling the conversion of diastereomeric mixtures of non‐prefunctionalized substrates into atropisomerically pure, highly substituted biaryl scaffolds. The main feature of this transformation is the use of an enantiopure sulfoxide as both chiral auxiliary and traceless directing group. The potential of newly synthesized biaryls as valuable building blocks is further illustrated.  相似文献

We synthesized luminescent coordination polymer glasses composed of d10 metal cyanides and triphenylphosphine through melt-quenching and mechanical milling protocols. Synchrotron X-ray total scattering measurements and solid-state NMR revealed their one-dimensional chain structures and high structural dynamics. Thermodynamic and photoluminescence properties were tunable by the combination of heterometallic ions (Ag+, Au+, and Cu+) in the structures. The glasses are moldable and thermally stable, and over centimeter-sized glass monoliths were fabricated by the hot-press technique. They showed high transparency over 80% from the visible to near-infrared region and strong green emission at room temperature. Furthermore, the glass-to-crystal transformation was demonstrated by laser irradiation through the photothermal effect of the glasses.

This work describes a mild and robust double hydroarylation strategy for the synthesis of symmetrical /unsymmetrical diaryl- and triarylmethanes in excellent yields using Lambert salt (0.2–1.0 mol%). Despite the anticipated challenges associated with controlling selective product formation, unsymmetrical diaryl- and triarylmethanes products are obtained unprecedentedly. A highly efficient gram scale reaction has also been reported (TON for symmetrical product=475 and for unsymmetrical product=390). The synthetic utility of the methodology is demonstrated by the preparation of several unexplored diaryl- and triarylmethane-based biologically relevant molecules, such as arundine, vibrindole A, turbomycin B, and certain anti-inflammatory agents. A total synthesis of an anti-breast-cancer agent is also demonstrated. Control experiments, Hammett analysis, HRMS and GC-MS studies reveal the reaction intermediates and reaction mechanism.  相似文献

An unprecedented, Brookhart's acid-catalyzed temperature-switchable regioselective divergent approach for N-alkylation of arylamines and heterocyclic amines by utilising cyclopropylcarbinols is presented herein. The reaction offers N-alkylated cyclopropyl derivatives and homoallyl amines by employing 2.5 mol% catalyst loading at different temperatures in excellent regioselectivity and yields. This method has shown to be relevant with a wide range of cyclopropylcarbinols, including aliphatic ones. Several control experiments and spectroscopic studies have been performed to gain insight into the reaction mechanism. Further, the synthetic utility of the protocol has also been described.  相似文献
