We present evidence for possibly the highest magnetic ordering temperature in any compound without 3d transition elements. Neutron powder diffraction measurements, at both time-of-flight and constant wavelength sources, were performed on two independently prepared SrTcO3 powders. SrTcO3 adopts a distorted perovskite structure with G-type antiferromagnetic ordering and has a moment of 1.87(4)μB per Tc cation at room temperature with an extraordinarily high Néel point close to 750 °C. Electronic structure calculations reveal extensive mixing between the technetium 4d states and oxygen states proximal to the Fermi level. This hybridization leads to a close relationship between magnetic ordering temperature and moment formation in SrTcO3.  相似文献

We report the application of column temperature programs as a tool to examine unusual temperature-induced behaviors of polysaccharide chiral stationary phases (CSPs). Using dihydropyrimidinone (DHP) compounds as probes we observed the heating (10-50 degrees C) and cooling (50-10 degrees C) van't Hoff plots of retention factors and/or selectivities of DHP compounds were not superimposable on AD, IA, and AS-H columns solvated with ethanol (EtOH)/n-hexane (n-Hex) mobile phases. The plots were not superimposable on AD, IB, and AS-H columns solvated with 2-propanol (2-PrOH)/n-Hex mobile phases. The thermally induced path-dependant behaviors were caused by slow equilibration as evidenced by the disappearance of the hysteresis in the second heating to cooling cycle and in a cooling to heating cycle. From the step-temperature program (10-50-10 degrees C), only EtOH solvated AD and AS-H phases showed the change of retention factors and/or selectivities with time while only 2-PrOH solvated AS-H phase showed similar behaviors.  相似文献

In order to understand the differences between the nature of the electron- and the hole-doped compositions of rare earth manganates, properties of single crystals of Nd1−xCaxMnO3 with x=0.6 and 0.4 have been investigated. In the electrical resistivity measurements, the electron-doped (x=0.6) composition shows no effect of magnetic field unlike the hole-doped (x=0.4) composition, but both exhibit similar current-induced changes. Brillouin scattering studies show that the x=0.6 and 0.4 compositions show softening of the modes on cooling the samples towards charge-ordering transitions. The strength of coupling between the eg orbitals and the elastic strain is considerably larger in the hole-doped composition containing a larger population of Mn3+ ions.  相似文献

Crystalline technetium dioxide was prepared and for the first time its crystal structure determined by neutron powder diffraction. In addition, electronic structure calculations using density functional theory were performed to further elucidate the bonding mechanisms in TcO2. The crystal structure determined by Rietveld analysis with the NPD data is of a distorted rutile type, similar to that of MoO2; space group P21/c, a = 5.6891(1), b = 4.7546(1), c = 5.5195(1) A, and beta = 121.453(1) degrees . The NPD analysis also establishes a new neutron scattering length of 6.00(3) fm for 99Tc. Our results clearly show metal-metal bonding between Tc pairs along the edge-sharing chains of TcO6 octahedra. The Tc-Tc bond was found to be 2.622(1) A from NPD profile analysis and 2.59 A from first-principles DFT calculations. The bond is somewhat longer than expected from earlier predictions, suggesting that the nature of the Tc-Tc interaction is weaker than anticipated for the Tc(IV) cation with three outer electrons. The NPD results supported by the DFT calculations suggest that the filling of antibonding orbitals and the influence of the crystal field stabilization of the d3 Tc cations lead to more regular TcO6 octahedra and diminish the metal-metal bond strength compared with closely related oxides such MoO2 and WO2.  相似文献

5-Substituted 6,7-dihydrodibenz[c,e]azepines, a class of secondary amine incorporating a centre-axis chirality relay, are accessible from 1-substituted N-(2-bromobenzyl)-1-phenylmethanamines via N-acylation and ring-closing intramolecular direct arylation. The ring closure proceeds with high atropodiastereoselectivity due to strain effects that are induced by trigonalisation of the nitrogen atom, as predicted using molecular mechanics calculations.  相似文献
