Geometrical parameters, vibrational frequencies and relative electronic energies of the X1A1, ?3B1 and A1B1 states of GeCl2 have been calculated at the CCSD(T) and/or CASSCF/MRCI level with basis sets of up to aug-cc-pV5Z quality. Core electron correlation and relativistic contributions were also investigated. RCCSD(T)/ aug-cc-pVQZ potential energy functions (PEFs) of the X1A1 and ?3B, states, and a CASSCF/MRCl/aug-cc-pVQZ PEF of the A1B1 state of GeCl2 are reported. Anharmonic vibrational wavefunctions of these electronic states of GeCl2, obtained variationally using the computed PEFs, are employed to calculate the Franck-Condon factors (FCFs) of the ?-X and A-X transitions of GeCl2. Simulated absorption spectra of these transitions based on the computed FCFs are compared with the corresponding experimental laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) spectra of Karolczak et al. [J. Chem. Phys. 1993, 98, 60-70]. Excellent agreement is obtained between the simulated absorption spectrum and observed LIF spectrum of the ?-X transition of GeCl2, which confirms the molecular carrier, the electronic states involved and the vibrational assignments of the LIF spectrum. However, comparison between the simulated absorption spectrum and experimental LIF spectrum of the A-X transition of GeCl2 leads to a revision of vibrational assignments of the LIF spectrum and suggests that the X1A1 state of GeCl2 was prepared in the experimental work, with a non-Boltzmann vibrational population distribution. The X(0,0,1) level is populated over 4000 times more than expected from a Boltzmann distribution at 60 K, which is appropriate for the relative population of the other low-lying vibrational levels, such as the X(1,0,0) and X(0,1,0) levels.  相似文献

In this article, we will first introduce the squash inhibitor, a well established family of highly potent canonical serine proteinase inhibitors isolated from Cucurbitaceae. The squash inhibitors were among the first discovered proteins with the typical knottin fold shared by numerous peptides extracted from plants, animals and fungi. Knottins contain three knotted disulfide bridges, two of them arranged as a Cystine-Stabilized Beta-sheet motif. In contrast to cyclotides for which no natural linear homolog is known, most squash inhibitors are linear. However, Momordica cochinchinensis Trypsin Inhibitor-I and (MCoTI-I and -II), 34-residue squash inhibitors isolated from seeds of a common Cucurbitaceae from Vietnam, were recently shown to be macrocyclic. In these circular squash inhibitors, a short peptide linker connects residues that correspond to the N- and C-termini in homologous linear squash inhibitors. In this review we present the isolation, characterization, chemical synthesis, and activity of these macrocyclic knottins. The solution structure of MCoTI-II will be compared with topologically similar cyclotides, homologous linear squash inhibitors and other knottins, and potential applications of such scaffolds will be discussed.  相似文献

D-Labelling permits differentiation between three plausible mechanistic pathways in the novel transformation of vinylaziridine 1 with β-nitrostyrene 4 to nitro enamino olefin 5. The results are consistent with a retro-ene reaction proceeding under mild conditions (80°). Choice of proper substituents can guide the reaction toward formation of azepines or substituted enamines.  相似文献

A novel crosslinked chitosan (CCTS) has been synthesized by the reaction of water-soluble chitosan with epoxy chloropropane. In the presence of the chelating EDTA and in the pH range between 4–10, CCTS selectively adsorbed trace inorganic Hg in water samples with enrichment factors of 100. Inorganic Hg could be directly reduced using KBH4 without preceding elution and determined by CVAAS. Accordingly, the total mercury could be determined after all species of mercury in water samples were transformed into Hg2+. The detection limit (3σ) for mercury was 12 ng L–1 and the relative standard deviation less than 5% at the 50 ng L–1 level. Beer’s law was obeyed over the range 30–400 ng L–1 of mercury and the preconcentration method was applied to environmental water samples with the recoveries between 92–96%.  相似文献

Molecular dynamics simulations have been applied to unbind biological ligands from their receptors [1–5]. Conformation changes are observed in the biomolecules during unbinding, but there exists no systematic method to detect these conformation changes. In this work, we have used `essential dynamics' (ED) [6–7] and projection to latent structures (PLS) [8] to investigate the conformation changes of the bovine serum retinol-binding protein when retinol unbinds from its receptor site. The results of these analyses characterise a large proportion of the movements that occur during unbinding. We find that the loop regions of retinol-binding protein exhibit the largest movements during unbinding. The sudden changes in unbinding speed during the unbinding process appear not to be caused by sudden changes in protein structure.  相似文献
