Blue InGaN/GaN multiple quantum well (MQW) light-emitting diodes (LEDs) are simulated by the APSYS software with a non-local quantum well transport model which is used to describe the phenomenon that carriers can fly over the quantum wells directly. The simulation results based on this model are in good agreement with the experiment and show its significant influence on the output power, carrier transport, peak wavelength and current crowding effect of the InGaN/GaN MQW LEDs, indicating that the non-local quantum well transport plays an important role in these devices. 相似文献

The characteristics of plasma produced by plane polarized m=±1 and m=±2 mode helicon waves were investigated for the first time. Plane polarized m=±1 and m=±2 mode helicon waves were mainly excited using a Nagoya type III antenna and a quadrupole antenna, respectively. Two-dimensional cross-field measurements of ArII optical emission induced by hot electrons were made to investigate the RF power deposition. The components of the wave magnetic field measured with a magnetic probe were compared with the field profiles computed for the m=±1 and m=±2 modes. Two and four high intensity plasma columns were observed for the m=±1 and m=±2modes, respectively. These columns were located at the regions between the antenna legs. This study proposes a beam shaper for converting a circle beam profile generated with a Gaussian intensity distribution by an 808 nm diode laser into a line beam profile for silicon surface treatment applications. To produce a hand-held and low-cost device with a large spot-size laser, this study uses a portable optical system consisting of a diode laser source, a collimator, a cylindrical lens, and a plano-convex lens to generate an approximately 40 × 3:5mm2 line beam profile at a working distance of 200 mm. In a multi-unit firm, such as a retail chain or a multi-plant manufacturer, we compare the business strategies developed by unit managers with the strategies that maximize corporate profit. The setting is one in which units face different markets and where learning spillovers between two units are enhanced if their strategies are more similar. When there is a small number of units, we find a tendency for managers' strategies to be excessively tailored to their local market. Recently, Li and Chang proposed an approximate model for assortment problems. Although their model is quite promising to find approximately global solution, too many 0–1 variables are required in their solution process. This paper proposes another way for solving the same problem. The proposed method uses iteratively a technique of piecewise linearization of the quadratic objective function. In this paper, effect of Eu3+ doping concentrations on microstructure and photoluminescence of Sr2SiO4 phosphors was investigated. The Sr2?xSiO4:xEu3+ phosphors with x=0.05, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 were synthesized by microwave assisted sintering at 1200 °C for 60 min in air. X-ray powder diffraction analysis confirmed the formation of pure Sr2SiO4 phase without second phase or phases of starting materials irrespective of the adding amount of Eu3+. From scanning electron microscopy image, it is found that with more Eu3+ ions introduced to Sr2SiO4, the shape of the particles is not much different from each other, but the particle size decreases significantly from 1 to 2 μm (when x=0.05) to less than 500 nm (when x=0.3). The emission spectrum was located obviously at 617 nm as the excitation spectrum at λex=395 nm, and it had best emission intensity when x=0.1. 相似文献
