Under the condition of nearly equilibrium concentration of vacancies, time dependence of the amount of isothermal transformation given byy=R/R
f was investigated whereR
f is the total structural change of resistivity on completion of the whole process andR is the measured resistivity change. The investigation was done on the 21·8 at.% (40·3wt.%) Zn alloy under the condition of relatively low supersaturation of a few degrees centigrade below the metastable
R
solvus line. The total transformation involves four kinetic stages: the first two stages correspond probably to diffusion-controlled growth of the
R
particles from the supersaturated solid solution and to the ripening of these particles till their conversion to the cubic phase takes place. The last two kinetic stages account analogously for the particles growth and ripening. Both
R
and phases were identified by the transmission electron microscopy. When separating the individual stages, the approximation byy=1–exp [–(mt)
n] of the amount of transformationy was used. The approximation allowed to get the starting values of both the time and the change of the structural part of the electrical resistance for individual stages and also to derive the parametersm
i, ni which had to be redetermined for the individual separated stages. These data made it possible to synthetize the experimental curves ofR andy vs. time for the total transformation.It is a pleasure to thank Doc. The physical content of the three more natural models ofGL(4) gravity is analyzed, for the case of weak fields. The first model we deal with is the linearized version of Yang's onetensor-field gravity. It is shown that this is a scalar-tensor theory, with its scalar part contained in the symmetric tensorh
, instead of appearing explicitly, externally to the symmetric tensorh
, as happens in Brans-Dicke type of scalar-tensor theories. The second and the third linearized models, which can both be derived from the fourth-order action postulated by Yang, turn out to be two-tensor decoupled systems. In both cases one of the tensors is the symmetric weak metric gravity tensor field. The second tensor appearing in these two models, representing theGL(4)-gauge field, is either a linearized symmetric affinity (in the second model) or a linearized but nonsymmetric affinity (for the third model). It is shown that in these last two cases the affinity contains a helicity-3 propagating field. The connection is also given between the fourth-order system which determines the dynamical structure (for the last two models) of the metric tensor and the third-order Yang model of gravity. Owing to the presence of helicity-3 fields we show that it is better to regard Yang's action as an action for a two-tensor system instead of trying to recover from it a pure gravity (one-tensor-field) action. Absolute line intensities and self-broadening coefficients have been measured at 197° and 294°K for the 201II ← 000 band of 12C16O2 at about 4978cm-1. The vibration-rotation factor (FVR), the purely vibrational transition moment (∣R(O)∣), and the integrated band intensity (Sband) are deduced from the measurements. The results are: FVR(m)=1+(0.24±0.08)x10-4m+(0.55+0.21)x10-4m2, ∣R(O)∣= (4.340±0.008x10-3 debye, Sband=96372±190cm-1km-1atm-1STP. The results for self-broadening coefficients, as well as for individual vibration-rotation lines, are presented in the text. 相似文献

Summary In the present study of fusion between lipid vesicles performed by thermomechanical analysis, isothermal volume variation
has been shown to be a reliable tool to follow these kinetics without introducing perturbing probes. In fact, the fusion process
is accompanied by bilayer strain release which causes an overall volume decrease of the fused vesicles. Volumetric variations
induced by side processes, such as adhesion or ion binding onto the vesicle surface, were accounted for in our measurements.
Moreover, by the same technique we followed segregation effects of the membrane lipid components in mixed vesicles. The systems
examined were neutral and anionic phospholipids containing vesicles. The role of temperature, vesicle size, lipid composition

Summary The main features of the spectral characteristics of the spontaneously emitted Ĉerenkov light in circular and rectangular
wave guides filled with dielectric are discussed. The characteristics of the radiation emitted by an electron beam moving
near and parallel to the surface of a dielectric slab are also analysed. Finally, the relevance of these results to a possible
FEL-Ĉerenkov operation is briefly discussed.
Riassunto In questo lavoro si discutono le caratteristiche dello spettro della radiazione Ĉerenkov, emessa in guide d'onde circolari e rettangolari riempite con dielettrico. Si analizzano inoltre le proprietà della radiazione emessa da un fascio di elettroni in moto in prossimità e parallelamente alla superficie di una ?slab? di dielettrico. Si discute, infine, brevemente, l'importanza di questi risultati per la realizzazione di un possibile FEL-Ĉerenkov.
Резюме Обсуждаются основиые особенности спектральных характеристик спонтанного черенковского излучения в круговых и прямоугольных волноводах, заполненных диэлектриком. Также анализируются характеристики излучения, испущенного электронным пучком, движущимся вблизи и пораллелйно поверхности диэлектрической пластинки. Ratios for target Ar K-shell ionization associated with single and double electron capture, as well as the ratios corresponding to total capture and the projectile K x rays, were determined for 1.8- to 2.2-MeV/u F7 + ,8 + ,9+ projectiles. This work was performed at Western Michigan University with the tandem Van de Graaff accelerator. Coincidences between emitted K-shell X-rays (both target and projectile) and the corresponding charge-changed particles were observed. The F9+ Ar K X-ray coincidence ratios for double to single capture are found to well exceed unity over the limited energy range of the measurements. Possible explanations for this anomalous behavior are discussed. 相似文献
