Synthesis and characterization of three new polyamine receptors, composed of a cyclam unit (cyclam=1,4,8,11‐tetraazacyclotetradecane) linked by a 2,6‐dimethylpyridinyl spacer to the linear polyamines 1,4,8,11‐tetraazaundecane ( L1py ), 1,4,7‐triazaheptane ( L2py ), and to a quaternary ammonium group ( L3 py+ ), are reported. All receptors form highly charged polyammonium cations at neutral pH, suitable for anion recognition studies. ATP recognition was analyzed by using potentiometric, calorimetric, 1H and 31P NMR measurements in aqueous solution. All receptors form 1:1 adducts with ATP in aqueous solution, stabilized by charge–charge and hydrogen‐bonding interactions between their ammonium groups and the anionic triphosphate chain of ATP. The binding ability of the three receptors for ATP increases in the order of L3 py+ < L2py < L1py . These adducts are stabilized by largely favourable entropic contributions, probably due to the large desolvation of the host and guest species upon complexation. The sequence observed for the binding affinity is explained in terms of the different ability of the three receptors to wrap around the phosphate chain of ATP.  相似文献

It is well known that ammunition containing depleted uranium (DU) was used by NATO during the Balkan conflict. To evaluate the DU origin (natural uranium enrichment or spent nuclear fuel reprocessing) it is necessary to check the presence of activation products (236U, 239+240Pu, 241Am, 237Np, etc.) in the ammunition.

Every transuranium element (TRU) was separated from the uranium matrix by extraction chromatography with microporous polyethylene (Icorene) supporting suitable stationary phases. Plutonium was separated by tri-n-octylamine (TNOA). 241Am was separated by TNOA and di(2ethylhexylphosphoric) acid (HDEHP). Neptunium also was separated by tri-n-octylamine using different conditions. After elution, the TRU elements were electroplated and counted by alpha spectrometry. The TRU decontamination factors from uranium were higher than 106.

The final chemical yields ranged from 50 to 70%. The detection limit was 1?Bq?kg?1 for 0.10?g ammunition; 239 + 240Pu and 241Am concentrations in two penetrators were 26 and 70?Bq?kg?1 and <1 and 3.4?Bq?kg?1, respectively; the 237Np concentration in one penetrator was 30.1?Bq?kg?1.

The presence of these anthropogenic radionuclides in the penetrators indicates that at least part of the uranium originated from the reprocessing of nuclear fuel, although because of their very low concentrations, the radiotoxicological effect is negligible.  相似文献

Accurate mass balance is an important requirement, especially for mass calibration procedures. It has been observed that with high-resolution apparatus, some volume underestimation, probably due to dead times during channelization, may occur. In this paper, a procedure based on poly(styrene-divinylbenzene) latex standard suspensions is proposed to assess the accuracy of volume measurements. Such a procedure was followed to evaluate the volume measurement accuracy and precision of a Coulter Counter TAII, which is generally considered an accurate counter, and of a Coulter Multisizer II (software 2.1), a high-resolution apparatus. No differences in accuracy and precision were found between the two instruments. Both of them were found suitable for particulate volume measurements provided that an adequate number of replicates is performed.  相似文献

Polymerization of styrene using catalytic systems based on nickel derivatives and methylaluminoxane (MAO) was studied. Among tested catalysts, nickel bis(acetylacetonate) and nickel dichloride show the maximum activity. Bis(phosphine)nickel dichlorides exhibit lower activity, depending on the nature of the phosphine ligand. Polymer yields decrease by lowering the catalyst concentration, by increasing the reaction temperature, or by carrying out the polymerization in a polar donor solvent. Weight average molecular weight of most of the prepared polystyrenes ranges from 9000 to 25,000, with polydispersity indexes of 1.6–3.8. However, polystyrene prepared in dioxane solvent exhibits a small fraction of very high molecular weight (about 140,000). From NMR analysis, the products seem generally to be constituted of two polymers with different steric microstructure: atactic polystyrene and partially isotactic polystyrene (ca. 75–85% meso diads). Catalytic site specificity is correlated with the type of nickel ligand, while the effect of reaction temperature is less defined. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Functionalization of xanthene fluorophores with specific receptor units is an important topic of research aiming for the development of new analytical tools for biological sciences, clinical diagnosis, food and environmental monitoring. Herein, we report a new dihydrorosamine containing two active amino groups, which was functionalized with 3-benzyloxy-1-(3′-carboxypropyl)-2-methyl-4-pyridinone through an amide coupling strategy. Benzylated mono- and di-functionalized dihydrorosamine derivatives (H in position 9 of the xanthene) were obtained, but with modest reaction yields, requiring long and laborious purification procedures. Looking for a more efficient approach, rhodamine 110 was selected to react with the carboxypropyl pyridinone, enabling the isolation of the corresponding mono- and di-functionalized derivatives in amounts that depend on the excess of pyridinone added to the reaction. The structure of all compounds was established by 1H and 13C NMR, MS (ESI) and their absorption and emission properties were evaluated in dichloromethane. The fluorescence behavior of the debenzylated mono-rhodamine 110 derivative in the presence of Fe(III) was studied, making it an interesting fluorogenic dye for future optical sensing applications.  相似文献

The increase in antibiotic resistance and the emergence of new bacterial infections have intensified the research for natural products from plants with associated therapy. This study aimed to verify the antibacterial and antioxidant activity of crude extracts of the genus Plectranthus species, being the first report on the modulation of aminoglycosides antibiotic activity by Plectranthus amboinicus extracts. The chemical composition was obtained by chemical prospecting and High-Performance Liquid Chromatography with diode arrangement detector (HPLC/DAD). The antibacterial activities of the extracts alone or in association with aminoglycosides were analyzed using the microdilution test. The antioxidant activity was evaluated by 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free radical scavenging. The phytochemical prospection allowed the flavonoids, saponins, tannins and triterpenoids to be identified. Quercetin, rutin, gallic acid, chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, catechin, kaempferol, glycosylated kaempferol, quercitrin, and isoquercitrin were identified and quantified. The principal component analysis (PCA) observed the influence of flavonoids and phenolic acids from Plectranthus species on studied activities. Phytochemical tests with the extracts indicated, especially, the presence of flavonoids, confirmed by quantitative analysis by HPLC. The results revealed antibacterial activities, and synergistic effects combined with aminoglycosides, as well as antioxidant potential, especially for P. ornatus species, with IC50 of 32.21 µg/mL. Multivariate analyzes show that the inclusion of data from the antioxidant and antibacterial activity suggests that the antioxidant effect of these species presents a significant contribution to the synergistic effect of phytoconstituents, especially based on the flavonoid contents. The results of this study suggest the antibacterial activity of Plectranthus extracts, as well as their potential in modifying the resistance of the analyzed aminoglycosides.  相似文献

We propose a general parametric local approach for functional C 2 Hermite shape preserving interpolation. The constructed interpolant is a parametric curve which interpolate values, first and second derivatives of a given function and reproduces the behavior of the data. The method is detailed for parametric curves with piecewise cubic components. For the selected space necessary and sufficient conditions are derived to ensure the convexity of the constructed interpolant. Monotonicity is also studied. The approximation order is investigated for both cases. The use of a parametric curves to interpolate data from a function can be considered a disadvantage of the scheme. However, the simple structure of the used curve greatly reduces such a disadvantage.  相似文献

A total of 92 samples of Sicilian lemon oils (Citrus limon (L.) Burm. f.) produced from September 2008 to June 2009, industrially cold-pressed by different extraction techniques (Brown Oil Extractor and Food Machinery Corporation), were analyzed by GC-flame ionization detector (FID) and GC/MS-LRI to investigate the volatile fraction; by RP-HPLC/PDA to determine the non-volatile components and by enantio-GC-FID to determine the enantiomeric ratios of 12 volatile components. This study provides a detailed investigation on the composition of Sicilian lemon essential oils industrially produced during a productive season, with the aim to recognize quality parameters for the characterization of this product. The results obtained are discussed to evaluate seasonal variation, influence of the extraction techniques, and are compared with those obtained for samples produced during different seasons.  相似文献
