Abstract

Bonding energies and volume misfits for alloying elements and vacancies in multicomponent Al–Mg–Si alloys have been calculated using density functional theory (DFT). A detailed atomic scale analysis has been done for characteristic precipitate structures, using high-angle annular dark-field scanning transmission electron microscopy. Two new stacking configurations of the important strengthening phase β′′ were discovered in the Ge-added alloy. All three stacking variations were found to be energetically favourable to form from DFT calculations. The second stacking configuration, β2′′, contains vacated columns in its unit cell, consequently requiring less solute to create the same volume fraction of precipitate needles. DFT suggests a lower formation enthalpy per atom for β2′′ when Si is exchanged with Ge. In the alloy containing Ag additions, a new Q’/C-like local configuration containing Ag instead of Cu was discovered, also this phase was deemed energetically favourable from DFT.  相似文献

Alternation in the duration of consecutive cardiac action potentials (electrical alternans) may precipitate conduction block and the onset of arrhythmias. Consequently, suppression of alternans using properly timed premature stimuli may be antiarrhythmic. To determine the extent to which alternans control can be achieved in cardiac tissue, isolated canine Purkinje fibers were paced from one end using a feedback control method. Spatially uniform control of alternans was possible when alternans amplitude was small. However, control became attenuated spatially as alternans amplitude increased. The amplitude variation along the cable was well described by a theoretically expected standing wave profile that corresponds to the first quantized mode of the one-dimensional Helmholtz equation. These results confirm the wavelike nature of alternans and may have important implications for their control using electrical stimuli.  相似文献

A new, efficient and general method for preparation of N-substituted-pyridazinones using ultrasound irradiation is reported. Under ultrasound the reaction time decreases substantially, the yields are high and the reaction conditions are mild. It was noticed that substituents at the 3-(6)-position of pyridazone heterocycle have a substantial influence on the reactivity, while the effect of the substituents at the 1-(2)-position seems to be of minor importance. A comparative study of the reactions performed under ultrasound conditions versus at room temperature has been done.  相似文献

The thermal behavior of CoxFe3?xO4/SiO2 nanocomposites obtained by direct synthesis starting from nonahydrate ferric nitrate and hexahydrate cobalt nitrate in different ratios with and without the addition of 1,4-butanediol was studied. For the synthesis of CoxFe3?xO4 (x = 0.5–2.5) dispersed in the silica matrix a wide Co/Fe molar ratio was used. The decomposition processes, formation of crystalline phases, gases evolvement and mass changes during gels annealing at different temperatures were assessed by thermal analysis. The absence of succinate precursor and a low mass loss were observed in the case of the gel obtained in the absence of 1,4-butanediol. In case of gels obtained using a stoichiometric ratio of Co/Fe, no clear delimitation between Co and Fe succinates was observed, while for samples with a Fe or Co excess, the formation of the two succinates was observed. The evolution of the crystalline phase after annealing (673, 973 and 1273 K) investigated by X-ray diffraction analysis and Fourier transformed infrared spectrometry revealed that in samples with Fe excess, stoichiometric Fe/Co ratio or low Co excess, the cobalt ferrite (CoFe2O4) was obtained as a single phase, while in samples with higher cobalt excess, olivine (Co2SiO4) as a main phase, cobalt oxide and CoFe2O4 as secondary phases were obtained after annealing at 1273 K. The SEM images confirmed the nanoparticles embedding in the silica matrix, while the TEM and X-ray diffraction data showed that the obtained nanoparticles’ size was below 10 nm in most samples.  相似文献

Cleavage of the Se-Se bond in [2-{O(CH(2)CH(2))(2)NCH(2)}C(6)H(4)](2)Se(2) (1) and [2-{MeN(CH(2)CH(2))(2)NCH(2)}C(6)H(4)](2)Se(2) (2) by treatment with SO(2)Cl(2), bromine or iodine (1 : 1 molar ratio) yielded [2-{O(CH(2)CH(2))(2)NCH(2)}C(6)H(4)]SeX [X = Cl (3), Br (4), I (5)] and [2-{MeN(CH(2)CH(2))(2)NCH(2)}C(6)H(4)]SeI (6). The compounds were characterized in solution by NMR spectroscopy (1H, 13C, 15N, 77Se, 2D experiments). The solid-state molecular structures of 1-3, 4.HBr, 5 and 6 were established by single crystal X-ray diffraction. In all cases T-shaped coordination geometries, i.e. (C,N)SeSe (1, 2), (C,N)SeX (3, 5, 6; X = halogen) or CSeBr(2) (4.HBr), were found.
