In chemical analyses performed by laboratories, one faces the problem of determining the concentration of a chemical element in a sample. In practice, one deals with the problem using the so‐called linear calibration model, which considers that the errors associated with the independent variables are negligible compared with the former variable. In this work, a new linear calibration model is proposed assuming that the independent variables are subject to heteroscedastic measurement errors. A simulation study is carried out in order to verify some properties of the estimators derived for the new model and it is also considered the usual calibration model to compare it with the new approach. In this work we present a method for determining the optical parameters of turbid media, namely its absorption coefficient (μa) and its reduced scattering coefficient . It is based on the measurement of CW transmittance profiles and analysis of the experimental data by a theoretical model based on the diffusion approximation (DA) of the radiative transfer equation (RTE). The method developed has been investigated with solid polymer probes but it could be applied for liquid materials as well. Experimental results are presented and compared to those of other authors together with a discussion about the accuracy of measurements. In addition, measurements using integrating spheres as well as Monte Carlo simulations are also presented to validate these results.  相似文献

制备了甘氨酸-壳聚糖复合膜修饰玻碳电极(Gly-CTS/GCE),研究了抗坏血酸(AA)和尿酸(UA)在该修饰电极上的电化学行为。结果表明在pH=5.59的磷酸盐缓冲溶液中,AA、UA在Gly-CTS/GCE上均产生灵敏的不可逆氧化峰,其峰电流与浓度在一定范围内呈良好的线性关系。对AA和UA混合溶液平行测定7次,相对标准偏差分别为4.6%、2.9%,表明该电极重现性和稳定性良好。AA、UA在Gly-CTS/GCE电极上的氧化峰峰电位相差340mV,据此可实现对二者的同时检测,并可应用于实际样品测定。  相似文献

The high repetition rate capability of a discharge pumped XeCl laser with static fill has been studied by double pulse experiments. By suitably selecting the laser parameters (energy deposition, gas mixture composition, filling pressure), following an analytical model of the discharge induced thermal effects, laser action from the second pulse for delays as short as 5 ms with an energy of 12.5 mJ has been achieved.  相似文献

Photocatalytic coatings for environmental applications   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
A series of nano- and micronparticle-grade anatase and rutile titanium dioxide pigments have been prepared with various densities of surface treatments, particle size and surface area. Their photocatalytic activites have been determined in a series of paint films by FTIR, chalking, color, gloss change and weight loss after artifical weathering. The pigments have also been examined by rapid assessment methodologies using photodielectric microwave spectroscopy, 2-propanol oxidation and hydroxyl analysis. The microwave response under light and dark cycles provides an extended timescale probe of charge-carrier dynamics in the pigments. Pigment particle size, surface area and properties clearly play an important role in dispersion and any polymer-pigment interactions. Photooxidation studies on several types of paint films show a clear demarcation between nanoparticle- and pigmentary-grade titanium dioxide, with the former being more active because of their greater degree of catalytic surface activity. The photosensitivity of titanium dioxide is considered to arise from localized sites on the crystal surface (i.e. acidic OH), and occupation of these sites by surface treatments inhibits photoreduction of the pigment by ultraviolet radiation; hence, the destructive oxidation of the binder is inhibited. Coatings containing 2-5% by weight alumina or alumina and silica are satisfactory for general-purpose paints. If greater resistance to weathering is desired, the pigments are coated more heavily to about 7-10% weight. The coating can consist of a combination of several materials, e.g. alumina, silica, zirconia, aluminum phosphates of other metals. For example, the presence of hydrous alumina particles lowers van der Waals forces between pigments particles by several orders of magnitude, decreasing particle-particle attractions. Hydrous aluminum oxide phases appear to improve dispersibility more effectively than most of the other hydroxides and oxides. Coated nanoparticles are shown to exhibit effective light stabilization in various water- and oil-based paint media in comparison with conventional organic stabilizers. Hindered piperidine stabilizers are shown to provide no additional benefits in this regard, often exhibiting strong antagonism. The use of photocatalytic titania nanoparticles in the development of self-cleaning paints and microbiological surfaces is also demonstrated in this study. In the former case, surface erosion is shown to be controlled by varying the ratio of admixture of durable pigmentary-grade rutile (heavily coated) and a catalytic-grade anatase nanoparticle. For environmental applications in the development of coatings for destroying atmospheric pollutants such as nitrogen oxide gases (NO(X)), stable substrates are developed with photocatalytic nanoparticle-grade anatase. In this study, porosity of the coatings through calcium carbonate doping is shown to be crucial in the control of the effective destruction of atmospheric NO(X) gases. For the development of microbiological substrates for the destruction of harmful bacteria, effective nanoparticle anatase titania is shown to be important, with hydrated high surface area particles giving the greatest activity.  相似文献

Surface characterization of poly(ester)s containing germanium (Ge) or silicon (Si) in the main chain was studied. Surface pressure‐area isotherms (π‐A) at the air/water interface were obtained by monolayer compression at constant temperature. The molecular areas from the pressure‐area isotherms were estimated for all polymers. At low surface concentrations poly(ester)s the characterization of monolayers was carried out according to the variation of the surface pressure as a function of the surface concentration; the behavior observed was described by the virial expansion development. In the semidilute region, the surface pressure variation was expressed according to the scaling laws as a power function of the surface concentration. It was found that the chemical structure of the poly(ester)s studied influences the type of the isotherms. The morphology of the monolayers was observed by Brewster angle microscopy (BAM). The molecular mechanics approach was used to obtain predictions about the local interaction energies between segments and to explain the minimum area values at the collapse point.  相似文献

The first synthetic approach to hitherto unknown 3‐aryl‐5‐dichloromethyl‐Δ2‐1,2,4‐oxadiazolines, of synthetic and biological interest, has been developed involving high‐yield reactions between N‐(2,2‐dichlorovinyl)benzimidoyl chlorides and hydroxylamine. The molecular structure of one member of this new family of compounds—5‐dichloromethyl‐3‐(4‐fluorophenyl)‐1,2,4‐oxadiazoline—has been determined by X‐ray crystallography. Density functional theory calculations supporting the proposed reaction pathway for the formation of these products have been carried out.  相似文献

Biotechnology has recently celebrated 30 years both as a science and as a multi-billion dollar industry. One application of biotechnology is to use human genetic information to discover, develop, manufacture, and commercialize biotherapeutics. Recombinant proteins can be produced in large quantities at high purity. High-throughput proteomic analysis is at the heart of the biotechnology research and development process, and the industry is constantly striving to streamline and automate the analytical processes involved. Microwave-assisted proteomics has recently emerged as a tool for increasing the bio-catalysis of several processes including tryptic digestions lipase selectivities, identification of metal-catalyzed oxidation sites on proteins, identification of protein N- and C-termini and enzyme catalyzed N-linked deglycosylation. Here, we explore the above mentioned methods, and describe our experiences evaluating microwave-technology for other common proteomic protocols including: removal of N-terminal pyroglutamyl for antibody characterization, beta elimination and Michael addition for identification of phosphorylation sites on recombinant proteins and enzyme mediated O-linked deglycosylation.  相似文献
