Suspended particulate matter in Elbe river water near Hamburg has been separated into different fractions by pouring the samples into special sedimentation tubes called Atterberg cylinders. The fractions are obtained by decanting the water after different settling periods, and by filtrating the decanted part. The analysis is done by neutron activation in the absolute mode, after irradiation periods of 5 min and 3 days. Abstract When isolated mitochondria are irradiated in the presence of 50 μg/ml hematoporphyrin or hematoporphyrin derivative in the respiratory medium, the irradiation is at least twenty-fold less effective in impairing the Ca2+ pump in the absence of oxygen than in its presence. This result suggests that photosensitization by non oxygen-depending pathways has few or no effects on cell membranes, a result somewhat at variance with those observed with liposomes. 相似文献

In this paper we describe a disposable sodium sensor in double matrix membrane technology. This sensor is prepared from filter paper with an evaporated silver conducting line on one side. For insulation the sensor is laminated with a pre-perforated heat-sealing film. A defined volume of an ion-sensitive polymer matrix membrane cocktail is filled into one hole. So an ion-sensitive coated film sensor in double matrix membrane technology is produced. The double matrix membrane is formed by the polymer matrix membrane and by the additional filter paper matrix. The response behaviour of the sodium electrode is comparable with conventional macro ion-selective electrodes. By this technology a mass production of low cost sensors is possible. 相似文献

A study of the ternary polymer systems dimethyl formamide-ethyl acetate-polystyrene, chloroform-1,4 dioxane-polystyrene and tetrahydrofuran-chloroform-polystyrene was carried out by viscosity and light scattering at 298 K. A good correlation has been found between the excess intrinsic viscosity, unperturbed polymer dimensions, second virial coefficient and the excess Gibbs free energy by using a ternary interaction parameter, dependent on molecular weight. The design and synthesis of molecules containing both a substrate-binding cavity and a nearby catalytically active metal center is a useful approach to the development of synthetic systems that function according to the principles of enzymes. To this end the receptor molecule 2a, derived from diphenylglycoluril, was functionalized with triaryl phosphite ligands to give the receptor ligand 2d. Exchange reactions of 2d with (diketonate)Rh(CO)(2), (diketone = acetylacetone, dibenzoylmethane, or dipivaloylmethane) led to the formation of the metallohosts 3a-c, respectively. The properties and conformational behavior of these metal complexes were studied by NMR techniques. Reaction of compounds 3 with H(2) in the presence of a small excess of additional triphenyl phosphite yields the rhodium(I) hydride complex 5. The metallohosts are capable of binding dihydroxybenzene guests in their cavities by hydrogen bonding and pi-pi stacking interactions. On binding a substrate the conformational behavior of hosts 3a-c was affected considerably. 相似文献

Summary An isotope dilution method for the determination of rare earth impurities in uranium has been developed and Ce, Nd, Sm, Eu and Gd have been determined in uranium oxide samples. The method involves isotopic dilution with enriched isotopes of the rare earths being measured, followed by the separation of rare earths from uranium. A mass spectrometer with thermionic source was used to determine the relative isotopic abundances in each of these rare earths. All these five elements were analysed selectively by preferential evaporation technique. Trace concentrations down to parts per billion range can be measured with good sensitivity and accuracy.

Zusammenfassung Eine Isotopenverdünnungsmethode wurde ausgearbeitet zur Bestimmung von Ce, Nd, Sm, Eu und Gd in Uranoxidproben. Das Verfahren umfaßt isotopische Verdünnung mit angereicherten Isotopen der zu bestimmenden Elemente und nachfolgende Abtrennung der Seltenen Erden von Uran. Die relativen Isotopenhäufigkeiten wurden mit Hilfe eines Massenspektrometers mit thermischer Ionenquelle bestimmt. Alle fünf Elemente wurden durch selektive Verdampfung analysiert. Spurenkonzentrationen bis herab zum ppb-Bereich konnten mit guter Empfindlichkeit und Genauigkeit erfaßt werden.相似文献
