Aziridines react with trifluoromethyl hypofluorite at ? 40°C to produce mixtures of 1-(aziridine)carbonyl fluoride and 1-fluoroaziridine , the proportions of which depend on steric effects. Several compounds react with starting materials to give 1, 1′-(carbonyl)bisaziridines . Most compounds and all compounds are isolated. The second-order rate constants for the nucleophilic replacement of fluorine by isopropoxide in 5,6,7,8-tetrafluoro- and 6,7,-difluoro-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-9-alkenyl-1,4-methanonaphthalenes and related 9-alkyl systems have been measured. A factor of 6 - 7 separates the most reactive compounds [the 9- (4′-trifluoromethylbenzylidene) derivatives] from the least reactive compounds [the syn-9-isopropyl derivatives] in both the tetrafluoro- and difluoro-series. In the subambient thermal volatilization analysis (TVA) technique, degradation products initially at ?196°C are allowed to warm up to ambient temperature in a controlled manner under vacuum conditions, and volatilization from the sample tube to a trap at ?196°C is monitored by means of a Pirani gauge. The technique is discussed in relation to earlier TVA work in which volatilization from a heated polymer sample was followed. CIDNP studies of these adducts show inversion of polarisation for the adduct on the N-alkyl chain when the nitrogen is bound to a benzylic methylene. A combined solid-phase microextraction-GC-MS analytical technique was used to monitor the formation of metabolites in the biodegradation of biphenyl, which were originally obtained from the solar photodechlorination of Aroclor 1254 by Pseudomonas pseudoalcaligenes KF707 and Burkholderia sp LB400. In both cases, the following metabolites were detected: 2-hydroxybiphenyl (2-OH-BP), 2,3-dihydroxybiphenyl (2,3-di-OH-BP), and benzoic acid, which was detected as its benzoate derivative 1-methylethylbenzoate. A time course study for the formation and disappearance of these metabolites was used to construct a degradation pathway, which in both cases, involved the formation of 2-OH-BP and 2,3-di-OH-BP. 相似文献
