The work presented here uses photofragment translational spectroscopy to investigate the primary and secondary dissociation channels of acryloyl chloride (CH2==CHCOCl) excited at 193 nm. Three primary channels were observed. Two C-Cl fission channels occur, one producing fragments with high kinetic recoil energies and the other producing fragments with low translational energies. These channels produced nascent CH2CHCO radicals with internal energies ranging from 23 to 66 kcal/mol for the high-translational-energy channel and from 50 to 68 kcal/mol for the low-translational-energy channel. We found that all nascent CH2CHCO radicals were unstable to CH2CH + CO formation, in agreement with the G3//B3LYP barrier height of 22.4 kcal/mol to within experimental and computational uncertainties. The third primary channel is HCl elimination. All of the nascent CH2CCO coproducts were found to have enough internal energy to dissociate, producing CH2C: + CO, in qualitative agreement with the G3//B3LYP barrier of 39.5 kcal/mol. We derive from the experimental results an upper limit of 23 +/- 3 kcal/mol for the zero-point-corrected barrier to the unimolecular dissociation of the CH2CHCO radical to form CH2CH + CO.  相似文献

A Grimm-type glow discharge lamp was found to have emission lines which are narrow enough to allow the advantageous use of resonance detection. Design of a cathodic sputtering cell which has an exchangeable cathode is described. The fluorescence signal from this lamp was detected electronically by either a synchronous (lock-in) detection system or a dual-gated integration (boxcar) system. It was found that the dual-gated system improved detection limits by a factor of 50 over the synchronous detection system. Calibration curves for copper in aluminium and silver in gold were found to be linear from the detection limit (about 1 ppm for both elements) up to approximately 20% in the case of copper in aluminium, and 5% silver in gold. Reproducibility of signal measurements was 1%.  相似文献

μ,μ′-(1,3-Dithiolatocyclohepta-4,6-diene)hexacarbonyldiiron(I) was prepared by the reaction of 2,3,4-trithiabicyclo[4,3,1]deca-6,8-diene with Fe2(CO)9. The carbonyls undergo rapid site exchange within each Fe(CO)3 group but there is no exchange of carbonyls between the two different Fe(CO)3 moieties. The novel bicyclic nature of the bridging ligand results in a short iron—iron bond distance and a long sulfur—sulfur distance as compared to other members of this class.  相似文献

The thermal addition of N-carbobenzyloxyisoindole (N-Z isoindole) 11a, generated by the reaction of 3,6-di(2-pyridyl)-s-tetrazine 9 with N-Z 7-azabenzonorbornadiene 8a, onto dimethyl tricyclo[4.2.1.02.5]nona-3,7-diene-3,4-dicarboxylate 17 occurred site selectively at the cyclobutene -bond to form a stereoisomeric mixture of 1 : 1-adducts 18 and 19, in which the bent-frame isomer 19 was dominant (ratio 5 : 1). In contrast, N-benzyl tetrafluoroisoindole 11c reacted with 17 only under high-pressure conditions (14 kbar, RT, 4 days) to afford 1 : 1-adducts at the cyclobutene site, in which the extended-frame isomer 18c was dominant and the accompanying bent-frame product 19c reverted to starting materials soon after isolation. These same stereoselectivities were used to prepare "windscreen wiper" compound 28c having two mobile N-benzyl substituents attached to a rigid scaffold by the reaction of N-benzyl tetrafluoroisoindole 11c with tetramethyl tetracyclo[4.4.1.0.2,5.07.10]undeca-3,8-diene-3,4,7,8-tetracarboxylate 23. Cavity bis-(cyclobutene-1,2-diester) 6 reacted with N-benzyl tetrafluoroisoindole 11c twice over to produce cavity structure 36 with two O- and two N-benzyl bridges on the inner face, whereas the narrower cavity bis-alkene 32 stopped at the 1 : 1-addition stage. The dynamics of the Z-group in the dual adducts 26a28a are discussed briefly and key adducts and cavity systems have been structurally evaluated by X-ray crystallography, VT NMR, and molecular modeling.  相似文献

Fully oxidized cytochrome bo3 from Escherichia coli has been studied in its oxidized and several ligand-bound forms using electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and magnetic circular dichroism (MCD) spectroscopies. In each form, the spin-coupled high-spin Fe(III) heme o3 and CuB(II) ion at the active site give rise to similar fast-relaxing broad features in the dual-mode X-band EPR spectra. Simulations of dual-mode spectra are presented which show that this EPR can arise only from a dinuclear site in which the metal ions are weakly coupled by an anisotropic exchange interaction of J 1 cm-1. A variable-temperature and magnetic field (VTVF) MCD study is also presented for the cytochrome bo3 fluoride and azide derivatives. New methods are used to extract the contribution to the MCD of the spin-coupled active site in the presence of strong transitions from low-spin Fe(III) heme b. Analysis of the MCD data, independent of the EPR study, also shows that the spin-coupling within the active site is weak with J approximately 1 cm-1. These conclusions overturn a long-held view that such EPR signals in bovine cytochrome c oxidase arise from an S' = 2 ground state resulting from strong exchange coupling (J > 10(2) cm-1) within the active site.  相似文献

Eight independent cell lines accumulated ammonia in culture to concentrations between 1.3 and 2.9 mM. The growth inhibition of such concentrations of ammonium chloride when added to culture medium was variable. The cell lines tested could be divided into 3 groups depending on their growth response to 2 mM added NH4Cl. In the first group (293, HDF, Vero, and PQXB1/2) little (less than 14%) or no growth inhibition occurred. In the second group (McCoy and MDCK) a reduction in final cell yield of 50-60% was observed. The third group (HeLa and BHK) was most sensitive to the effects of NH4Cl with growth inhibition (greater than 75%) compared to controls. The growth inhibitory effect of added lactate up to 20 mM was negligible (less than 10%) for 3 cell lines, although one cell line (PQXB1/2) showed greater sensitivity. The interactive effects of ammonia and lactate were determined in a matrix experiment. At lactate (greater than 12 mM) and ammonia (1-4 mM), the growth inhibitory effects of the two components were synergistic. However, at low concentrations of lactate (less than 12 mM) the toxic effect of ammonia was reduced. A proposed mechanism for the sparing effect of lactate on ammonia toxicity is discussed. This may have importance in developing strategies for the optimal growth of ammonia-sensitive cell lines.  相似文献

Halogenated natural products are frequently reported metabolites in marine seaweeds. These compounds span a range from halogenated indoles, terpenes, acetogenins, phenols, etc., to volatile halogenated hydrocarbons that are produced on a very large scale. In many cases these halogenated marine metabolites possess biological activities of pharmacological interest. Given the abundance of halogenated marine natural products found in marine organisms and their potentially important biological activities, the biogenesis of these compounds has intrigued marine natural product chemists for decades. Over a quarter of a century ago, a possible role for haloperoxidase enzymes was first suggested in the biogenesis of certain halogenated marine natural products, although this was long before haloperoxidases were discovered in marine organisms. Since that time, FeHeme- and Vanadium-haloperoxidases (V-HPO) have been discovered in many marine organisms. The structure and catalytic activity of vanadium haloperoxidases is reviewed herein, including the importance of V-HPO-catalyzed bromination and cyclization of terpene substrates.  相似文献
