一维云粒子激光探测仪研制及探测数据分析

阐述基于Mie散射理论和激光技术而研制的云粒子探测仪的相关问题。利用m量级的小孔光阑模拟感应区域的散射光,并对系统的探测敏感区域面积进行测定;通过使用不同直径的标准粒子对系统进行标定,得到可靠的响应曲线,用于定量测量云粒子尺度谱及粒子数密度。在进行了一系列实验室内的实验之后,将仪器装载在飞机上进行穿云飞行测量实验,表明了该仪器在飞行过程中工作正常、稳定,并且能够即时地显示采样区内云粒子尺度谱分布和数浓度;通过分析探测得到的数据,并与云粒子谱分布进行比较,确认了探测数据有效可靠,反映了该仪器具有良好的测云能力。     

Current and shot noise in two capacitively coupled single electron transistors with an atomic sized spacer

The currents and their fluctuations in two capacitively coupled single electron transistors are determined in the limit of sequential tunnelling. Our considerations are restricted to the case when the islands (dots) of the transistors are atomic-sized, which means each of them has only one single electronic level available for the tunnelling processes. The Coulomb interactions of accumulated charges on the both single electron transistors lead to the effect of the negative differential resistance. An enhancement of the current shot-noise was also found. Spectral decomposition analysis indicated the two main contributions to the shot-noise: low- and high-frequency fluctuations. It was found that the low frequency fluctuations (polarization noise) are responsible for a strong enhancement of the current noise. Measurement of the W boson mass with the D0 detector

We present a measurement of the W boson mass using data corresponding to 4.3 fb(-1) of integrated luminosity collected with the D0 detector during Run II at the Fermilab Tevatron pp collider. With a sample of 1,677,394 W → eν candidate events, we measure M(W) = 80.367 ± 0.026 GeV. This result is combined with an earlier D0 result determined using an independent Run II data sample, corresponding to 1 fb(-1) of integrated luminosity, to yield M(W) = 80.375 ± 0.023 GeV.     

Entanglement in a three spin system controlled by electric and magnetic fields

We study the effect of electric field and magnetic flux on spin entanglement in an artificial triangular molecule built of coherently coupled quantum dots. In a subspace of doublet states an explicit relation of concurrence with spin correlation functions and chirality is presented. The electric field modifies superexchange correlations and shifts many-electron levels (the Stark effect), as well as changing spin correlations. For some specific orientation of the electric field one can observe monogamy, for which one of the spins is separated from two others. Moreover, the Stark effect manifests itself in a different spin entanglement for small and strong electric fields. The role of magnetic flux is opposite: it leads to circulation of spin supercurrents and spin delocalization.

Frequency-upconverted organic crystal

The fluorescent characteristics of Troger's base have been investigated experimentally. A one-photon-induced fluorescent spectrum was observed, and the peak wavelength was at 337 nm with a full width at half-maximum of ~85nm . The violet radiation of the Troger's base crystal could result from the pi(*) -pi transition of the benzenoid pi bond. Two-photon-pumped frequency-upconverted fluorescence was obtained, which is a wideband emission with the main peak wavelength at 337 nm and a subordinate peak. Donor groups and acceptor groups of electrons in the aromatic rings strengthen the two-photon-pumped frequency-upconverted fluorescence.     

Bounds on an anomalous dijet resonance in W+jets production in pp collisions at √s = 1.96 TeV

We present a study of the dijet invariant mass spectrum in events with two jets produced in association with a W boson in data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.3 fb(-1) collected with the D0 detector at √s = 1.96 TeV. We find no evidence for anomalous resonant dijet production and derive upper limits on the production cross section of an anomalous dijet resonance recently reported by the CDF Collaboration, investigating the range of dijet invariant mass from 110 to 170 GeV/c(2). The probability of the D0 data being consistent with the presence of a dijet resonance with 4 pb production cross section at 145 GeV/c(2) is 8×10(-6).     

Atomistic simulations of mechanical properties of graphene nanoribbons

The mechanical behavior of graphene nanoribbons (GNRs) was investigated by molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. The simulation results showed that GNRs behave nonlinear elastically under tensile loads. When the strain exceeds 18%, the stress stiffening causes an increase in the Young's modulus. The width of a GNR has slight effects on the Young modulus and fracture strength. The maximum strain at which fracture occurs can reach 30.26% with an intrinsic strength of about 0.175 TPa. The excellent flexibility is attributed to the elongation of the CC bonds and the variations of the bond angles.     

RCCo_3(CO)_9的电化学和RCCo_3(CO)_9~-的ESR谱研究

本文对三种RCCo_3(CO)_9及相应的自由基进行了电化学和ESR谱研究.电化学研究表明,RCCo_3(CO)_9被还原为自由基的难易与R的性质有关,RCCo_3(CO)_9在室温下可以稳定存在.在对分子轨道对称性分析的基础上对簇合物自由基的ESR谱进行了讨论.确定了超精细偶合常数的符号和未成对电子占据轨道的性质,计算了Co的3d轨道和4s轨道的自旋密度.
