Single phase perovskite CaTiO3 has been synthesized by conventional solid state reaction technique. The ceramic was characterized by XRD at room temperature and its Rietveld refinement inferred orthorhombic crystal structure with the space group Pbnm. The field dependence of dielectric relaxation and conductivity was measured over a wide frequency range from room temperature to 673 K. Analysis of Nyquist plots of CaTiO3 revealed the contribution of many electrically active regions corresponding to bulk mechanism, distribution of grain boundaries and electrode processes. The dc conductivity depicted a semiconductor to metal type transition. Frequency dependence of dielectric constant (ε′) and tangent loss (tan δ) show a dispersive behavior at low frequencies and is explained on basis of Maxwell-Wagner model and Koop's theory. Both conductivity and electric modulus formalisms have been employed to study the relaxation dynamics of charge carriers. The variation of ac conductivity with frequency at different temperatures obeys the universal Jonscher's power law (σac α ωs). The values of exponent ‘s’ lie in the range 0.13 ≤ s ≤ 0.33, which in light of CBH model suggest a large polaron hopping type of conduction mechanism.  相似文献

The variable coefficient modified Korteweg-de Vries (mKdV) equations for incident and reflected solitons are derived and solved to study the reflection of compressive and rarefactive ion acoustic solitons at the critical density in an inhomogeneous negative ion plasma. The polarity of the incident compressive and rarefactive solitons is not altered during the reflection process. Increasing the density gradient reinforces the reflection of both compressive and rarefactive mKdV solitons, whereas enhancement of the unperturbed plasma density weakens the reflection  相似文献

A technique for frequency stabilization of an internal mirror He-Ne laser using phase sensitive detection without cavity length modulation is suggested. The orthogonally plane polarized modes are separated and then convered into two photoelectric signals using two photodetectors. The photoelectric signals are switched alternately so as to generate a square wave, whose amplitude is proportional to the intensity difference between the two orthogonal polarizations. A lock-in amplifier is used to detect this square wave, with the switching frequency as reference. The phase detected signal is used for thermal stabilization of the laser. The frequency stability of 5 × 10−9 was obtained with an integration time of 1 s.  相似文献
