The microwave and millimeter wave spectra of HNCS in the three bending excited states, v4 = 1, v5 = 1, and v6 = 1, have been measured. The qR0, qR1, and qR2 branches for each of these three states and the qR3 branch for the lowest excited state have been assigned. Effective rotational and centrifugal distortion constants have been determined for each vibrational and Ka-rotational sub-state. Two local resonances, caused by the Coriolis induced asymmetry interaction and a b-type Coriolis resonance, allow unambiguous confirmation of the assignment of the state v6 = 1, the first excited state of the out-of-plane vibration.  相似文献

The Doppler-limited rotational spectrum of the NH radical in its electronic (X) and vibrational ground state has been measured using the frequency stabilized Cologne side-band spectrometer in the frequency region near 2 THz. The nitrogen 14N nuclear hyperfine patterns have been observed accompanying the resolved fine (JJ″) structure of the N=2←1 rotational transition. The observed peak frequencies were analyzed in detail together with the previously measured hyperfine frequencies of the N=1←0 rotational transition and with combination differences obtained from the high-resolution electronic spectra to derive precise rotational, centrifugal distortion, fine, and hyperfine parameters. In the numerical analysis the essential attention has been paid to partly resolved and unresolved hyperfine structures. The peak positions of the partly or fully overlapped lines were analyzed with the help of a profile simulation with estimated half-widths and calculated relative intensities and in this manner the least square fit of the unresolved and partly resolved lines was significantly improved. The NH radical is an extremely important species in nitrogen chemical reaction networks in the interstellar medium and atmospheric chemistry.  相似文献

An experimental investigation into the sound-producing characteristics of moderately and highly underexpanded supersonic impinging jets exhausting from a round convergent nozzle is presented. The production of large plate tones by impingement on a square plate with a side dimension equal to 12 nozzle exit diameters is studied using random and phase-locked shadowgraph photography. Discrete frequency sound is produced in the near-wall region of the jet when a Mach disk occurs upstream of the standoff shock wave. Tones cease when the plate distance is approximately 2.2 free-jet cell lengths and the first and second shock waves are located in the free-jet positions. The production of impulsive sound appears to be associated with the collapse of the standoff shock wave during a portion of the oscillation cycle. Results from unsteady plate-pressure measurements indicate that plane-wave motion occurs in the impingement region and a secondary pressure maximum is observed on the plate adjacent to the flow region where sound appears to originate.  相似文献

Water vapor infrared spectra have been recorded at room temperature in the range 4200-6250 cm−1 at resolutions (FWHM) between 0.0053 and 0.0080 cm−1. The use of a White-type multireflection cell made large pressure × pathlength products possible up to 31.27 mbar×288.5 m. The high signal-to-noise ratio allowed us to observe lines with intensities as small as 10−26 cm−1/molecule cm−2 at T=296 K. Among about 5100 recorded water lines, about half of which are reported for the first time, 2351 lines have been assigned to the second triad of H216O (bands ν12, ν23, and 3ν2). This has allowed the determination of line positions and corresponding upper rovibrational states with considerably improved accuracy. The assignments of certain highly excited states have been confirmed by the analysis of flame spectra and hot emission spectra. New values of effective Hamiltonian parameters for the upper states {(110), (030), (011)} have been determined. The generating function model was used in the data reduction to account for the anomalously strong centrifugal distortion of the rovibrational levels and resonance interactions. The RMS standard deviation of the least-squares fit of the assigned H2O data was 5×10−3 cm−1 for line positions and 7×10−3 cm−1 for energy levels up to Jmax=20 and Ka(max)=13. Particular attention was paid to water lines in the transparency window 4200-5000 cm−1, in which existing databases are not sufficient. In this region, 1395 lines of four isotopic species of water have been recorded and over 900 accurate line positions of nine bands of H216O (ν1, ν3, 2ν2, ν12, ν23, 3ν2, 4ν2−ν2, 2ν23−ν2, ν1+2ν2−ν2) are reported in this range. A comparison of laboratory spectra with long path atmospheric spectra (20 km slant path in the mountains) in this region shows that many lines missing from available spectroscopic compilations (or considerably shifted compared to observations) are important for a proper interpretation of atmospheric observations. A comparison of the observed data with the best available predictions from the molecular electronic potential energy surface is discussed.  相似文献

We investigate the minimal antichains (in what is essentially Nash-Williams' sense) in a well-founded quasi-order. We prove the following finiteness theorem: If Q is a well-founded quasi-order and k a fixed natural number, then there is a finite set Λk of minimal antichains of Q with the property that for any ideal I of Q obtained by excluding at most k elements of Q, I is well-quasi-ordered if and only if its intersection with each antichain in Λk is finite. When applied in a suitably sharpened form to an algorithmic problem arising in model theory, this yields a strengthening of the main result of [18].  相似文献

This study investigates grades 5 and 6 science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) teachers' planned and actualized engineering design‐based instruction, the instruments used to characterize their efforts, and the implications this work has for teachers' implementations of an integrated approach to STEM education. Participants included 23 STEM teachers from six schools (three rural, two suburban, and one urban). Data were gathered via lesson implementation plans and classroom observations. Teachers demonstrated strength in planning for standards‐ and engineering design‐based lessons, incorporating engineering practices within their respective implementation plans, and aligning their plans with content and design process standards. Missing from their plans was attention to science concepts and their placement, use, and application within a design task. Classroom observations indicated that the teacher participants gave priority to “front loading,” the design process by concentrating more of their instructional time on problem identification and planning and less time on testing designs, communicating performance results, and redesigning. Measures utilized in this study provided insight into the content of teachers' planning and subsequent instruction and suggest potential for capturing content planning in the context of classrooms in which teachers are attempting to integrate novel curriculum, such as the new standards for engineering practices.  相似文献

Chelex-100, Dowex 50W-x8 and Dowex MAC-3 exchange resins were investigated for separation and pre-concentration of trace amounts of Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Pb, Ti and Zn in alcohols with respect to retention and desorption characteristics. Dowex 50W-x8 was found to be the best sorbent with percentages recoveries >95%. In addition, Chelex-100 appeared to be suitable for the pre-concentration of Cu, Fe and Zn, whereas Dowex MAC-3 was selective for Cu and Fe. Therefore, Dowex 50W-x8 was used for further investigations. The relative standard deviations <4% (n = 20), limits of detection and quantification were 0.1–1.2 μg L−1 and 0.3–1.5 μg L−1, respectively. The SPE method was validated against a certified reference material and the results were in agreement with certified values. The accuracy of the optimized method was verified by the recovery test in the spiked alcohol samples. The accuracy and spike recovery test for different metal ions were in the range 98–102% and 95–105%, respectively. The optimized method was applied to the separation and pre-concentration of metal ions in different commercial alcohol samples.  相似文献

Consider a manufacturing process in which a group of machines (or people) perform a single operation on a number of different parts. The processing time depends on both the part and the machine. In addition, each machine requires significant setup time between processing different part types. The problem consists of obtaining a feasible allocation of parts to machines such that the makespan (i.e. greatest machine workload) is minimized. We present two equivalent 0–1 models. The first model arises by considering the assignment of individual parts to machines. It is amenable to Lagrangian decomposition techniques. The second model is more hierarchical in nature; it considers the two options of assigning an entire part type to a single machine, or of splitting the type across machines. The second model is more amenable than the first to branch-and-bound techniques. We report about our computational experience for finding lower bounds of the optimal solution by appending violated cuts and, ultimately, obtaining the optimal solution of real-life problems.  相似文献
