The laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) excitation spectra of free base phthalocyanine (Pc), Mg-Pc, and Zn-Pc molecules in superfluid helium droplets at T=0.38 K have been studied. The spectra reveal the rich vibronic structure of the S(1)<--S(0) electronic transitions. The band origins of the transitions consist of zero phonon lines accompanied by phonon wings, which originate from simultaneous electronic excitation of the molecule and excitation of the collective modes of the helium surrounding it. The phonon wings have discrete structures suggesting localization of some helium atoms in the neighborhood of the molecules. Zero phonon lines of Mg-Pc and Zn-Pc molecules are split into three components, which are separated by 0.2-0.4 cm(-1). Possible mechanism of splitting involves static or dynamic Jahn-Teller interaction of metal-phthalocyanine molecules in the twofold degenerate S(1)((1)E(u)) state with the helium shell.  相似文献

Trans-[Cr(NH3)4F2]I·H2O (A) has monoclinic P2l/m (No. 11) space group witha=5.033 (3),b=16.333 (10),c=5.539 (3) Å and =98.47 (3)°,Z=2.Cis-[Cr(NH3)4F2]ClO4 (B) has tetragonal space group I4lmd (No. 109) witha=7.417 (1),c=16.610 (2) Å,Z=4. Cr–F and Cr–N bonding distances are 1.894 (3); 2.087 and 2.083 (5) Å for A and 1.887 (6); 2.062 (5) and 2.051 (7) Å for B. Octahedral angles within the cations are close to 90° for both compounds. Cr–N bondtrans to Cr–F bond in thecis compound is shorter. Structures were refined toR 2 values of 0.072 (A) and 0.058 (B).Trans-[Cr(NH3)4F2]I·H2O has weak N–H–F hydrogen bonds between the cations. None such interactions were found incis-[Cr(NH3)4F2]ClO4.

Die Cr–F- und Cr–N-Abstände sind 1,894 (3); 2,087 (6), 2,083 (5) Å für A und 1,887 (6); 2,062 (5), 2,051 (7) Å für B. Die octaedrischen Bindungswinkel innerhalb der Kationen weichen nicht viel von 90° ab. Der Cr–N-Abstand intrans-Position der Cr–F-Bindung ist kürzer. Die Strukturen wurden bis zu GütefaktorenR 2 0,072 (A) und 0,058 (B) verfeinert. Bei der Verbindung A wurden schwache N–H ... F-Wasserstoff-Bindungen zwischen verschiedenen Kationen beobachtet, während bei der Verbindung B keine Wasserstoff-Bindungen vorhanden sind.

This paper reports on the pH-dependent adsorption of weak the polyelectrolytic diblock copolymer poly(2-vinylpyridine)-block-poly(dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate), (PVP-b-PDMAEMA). Aqueous PVP-b-PDMAEMA solutions have been adsorbed on alkaline pretreated silicon substrates. Altogether two copolymers differing in block ratio and molecular weight were used for the investigations. While the electrical charge of both samples in solution was investigated by electrophoretic measurements, the adsorbed polymer layers were studied with ellipsometry and atomic force microscopy (AFM). Depending on pH the electrical charge of both blocks of the diblock copolymer varied. Three different regimes have been identified. Under acidic conditions at pH<5, both blocks are mainly positively charged. At medium pH between 5 and 8, only the PDMAEMA block is positively charged. At pH>8, both blocks are nearly uncharged and a polymer precipitation occurred in solution. Each of these pH regimes was characterized by a specific adsorption behaviour leading to two adsorption maxima at acidic and alkaline pH values, while at medium pH a plateau in the adsorbed amount was observed. Moreover, the structures of the polyelectrolytes formed on the substrate after adsorption were specific to each of the three pH regimes.  相似文献

A colloidal particle adsorbed at a fluid interface could have an undulated, or irregular contact line in the presence of surface roughness and/or chemical inhomogeneity. The contact-line undulations produce distortions in the surrounding liquid interface, whose overlap engenders capillary interaction between the particles. The convex and concave local deviations of the meniscus shape from planarity can be formally treated as positive and negative "capillary charges," which form "capillary multipoles." Here, we derive theoretical expressions for the interaction between two capillary multipoles of arbitrary order. Depending on the angle of mutual orientation, the interaction energy could exhibit a minimum, or it could represent a monotonic attraction. For undulation amplitudes larger than 5 nm, the interaction energy is typically much greater than the thermal energy kT. As a consequence, a monolayer from capillary multipoles exhibits considerable shear elasticity, and such monolayer is expected to behave as a two-dimensional elastic solid. These theoretical results could be helpful for the understanding of phenomena related to aggregation and ordering of particles adsorbed at a fluid interface, and for the interpretation of rheological properties of particulate monolayers. Related research fields are the particle-stabilized (Pickering) emulsions and the two-dimensional self-assembly of microscopic particles.  相似文献

 A combination of "black box" and "calendar-time" methods for the determination of calibration intervals of an analytical measuring instrument is discussed. Since the methods require information on the distributions of the calibration parameters, such information is described for an atomic absorption spectrophotometer, as an example. The hypotheses on the normal distribution of the calibration parameters are tested using the ω2-criterion and accepted at 0.90–0.95 levels of confidence. Corresponding control charts are designed for indication of warning and action limits of the calibration parameters, and diagnoses of outliers in further calibrations. Control charts indicate also when the calibration should be done according to the full program of the equipment manufacturer. Received: 15 April 2000 / Accepted: 24 July 2000  相似文献

A library consisting of 3766 MS(n) spectra of 1743 compounds, including 3126 MS2 spectra acquired mainly using ion trap (IT) and triple-quadrupole (QqQ) instruments, was composed of numerous collections/sources. Ionization techniques were mainly electrospray ionization and also atmospheric pressure chemical ionization and chemical ionization. The library was tested for the performance in identification of unknowns, and in this context this work is believed to be the largest of all known tests of product-ion mass spectral libraries. The MS2 spectra of the same compounds from different collections were in turn divided into spectra of 'unknown' and reference compounds. For each particular compound, library searches were performed resulting in selection by taking into account the best matches for each spectral collection/source. Within each collection/source, replicate MS2 spectra differed in the collision energy used. Overall, there were up to 950 search results giving the best match factors and their ranks in corresponding hit lists. In general, the correct answers were obtained as the 1st rank in up to 60% of the search results when retrieved with (on average) 2.2 'unknown' and 6.2 reference replicates per compound. With two or more replicates of both 'unknown' and reference spectra (the average numbers of replicates were 4.0 and 7.8, respectively), the fraction of correct answers in the 1st rank increased to 77%. This value is close to the performance of established electron ionization mass spectra libraries (up to 79%) found by other workers. The hypothesis that MS2 spectra better match reference spectra acquired using the same type of tandem mass spectrometer (IT or QqQ) was neither strongly proved nor rejected here. The present work shows that MS2 spectral libraries containing sufficiently numerous different entries for each compound are sufficiently efficient for identification of unknowns and suitable for use with different tandem mass spectrometers.  相似文献

EPR, UV/Vis and FTIR spectroscopy as well as thermal analysis (TA/MS) were applied to study the influence of sulfate species present in the anatase support on the specific nature of VOx species in supported VOx/TiO2 catalysts. Those sulfate species modify the local structure of the supported vanadyl species and lead to the formation of two types of VO2+ sites instead of only one type being formed on sulfate‐free anatase. EPR and FTIR spectroscopic measurements revealed that a part of the VO2+ species are directly bound to the surface sulfate species. By TA/MS it was found that SO2 is released at lower temperature from VOx/TiO2 in comparison to the vanadium‐free support. The direct bonding between sulfate and VOx species stabilizes the latter on the surface of VOx/TiO2 resulting in three effects: 1) a higher V site dispersion in comparison to sulfate‐free TiO2, 2) a better resistance of surface vanadyls against diffusion into the bulk of the support and 3) a much faster reoxidation of reduced V sites than observed on sulfate‐free TiO2.  相似文献

A new method was suggested for estimating the hydrophobic effect of contributions to the Gibbs energies and enthalpies of hydration of hydrocarbons, inorganic gases and rare gases. In accordance with this method the hydrophobic effect contribution to the Gibbs energy was evaluated from the difference between the hydration Gibbs energy of a solute and the non hydrophobic contribution. To estimate the latter value, the known dependence connecting the Gibbs energies of solvation of a solute in a number of aprotic solvents to the Hildebrand solubility parameter for these solvents was used. The non hydrophobic contribution to the Gibbs energy of hydration was calculated for various solutes from such dependences extended to water as solvent. The Hildebrand solubility parameter for water used in the calculation was corrected for the effect of association through hydrogen bonding. This correction was made by subtraction of the water self-association enthalpy from the enthalpy of vaporization of water. The evaluated Gibbs energies of the hydrophobic effect are positive for saturated hydrocarbons, inorganic gases and rare gases and linearly depend on the solute molecular refraction. The hydrophobic contribution to the hydration enthalpies of the solutes was calculated in the same manner as was made to calculate the hydrophobic contribution to Gibbs energies of hydration. Enthalpies of the hydrophobic effect for the solutes under study are negative.  相似文献

Addition of 15-crown-5 to [GdF(AsF6)2], both dissolved in liquid SO2, and crystallisation at -30 degrees C has led to the isolation of the tetranuclear ionic complex [Gd4F7(15-crown-5)4][AsF6]5.6 SO2 which is stable up to--10 degrees C where SO2 loss leads to loss of crystallinity.  相似文献

The aminolysis of esters is a basic organic reaction considered as a model for the interaction of carbonyl group with nucleophiles. In the present computational study the different possible mechanistic pathways of the reaction are reinvestigated by applying higher level electronic structure theory, examining the general base catalysis by the nucleophile, and a more comprehensive study the solvent effect. Both the ab initio QCISD/6-31(d,p) method and density functional theory at the B3LYP/6-31G(d) level were employed to calculate the reaction pathways for the simplest model aminolysis reaction between methylformate and ammonia. Solvent effects were assessed by the PCM method. The results show that in the case of noncatalyzed aminolysis the addition/elimination stepwise mechanism involving two transition states and the concerted mechanism have very similar activation energies. However, in the case of catalyzed aminolysis by a second ammonia molecule the stepwise mechanism has a distinctly lower activation energy. All transition states in the catalyzed aminolysis are 10-17 kcal/mol lower than those for the uncatalyzed process.  相似文献
